Just got back from my mum's and about to give Dcs their tea so has to be a quick post

Gingeme - DD much better but she has done a bit of screaming/straining today but not sure what has caused that

DD still not well and has slept a lot today so may be in for a bad night

DS now amusing himself with his toy train set he has finally been prised away from wheelybug

Thanks for the tips guys. My auntie is a dressmaker and said years ago that she'd make my dress for me so that sorts that out.
We have made no plans and DP doesn't want to make any yet as he's just getting used to being engaged and bless him he is right I'm just so .... don't know what the word is. so........ excited? I want to start right away.
All we've agreed on is April (or August) 2010 so that we can try for a new baby on our wedding night and it won't be too big a gap between DD and then next DC and that there will be no strippers and the stag/hen do's which is fine with me as naked men wiggling at me not my cup of t. Me and Ally have already agreed that my hen do will consist of karaoke.

Well today I'm a moody cow. I'm PMT, tired, got a cold and DD is getting right on my nerves with this whole screaming/clingy/temper thing she's got going on at the mo.

Have just ordered a fab charm for DD's birthday. It's of a teeny tiny high chair [sweet]

All good here DH very tired as baby next door (13mths) has terrible reflux poor thing and was crying most of the night. I seem to ignore all crying babies that aren't my own and was fine!!

My youngest bro (the one who was going to marry his girlfriend to keep her in the country) is studying in Poland from March for a term so the plan was I would visit but DH can't really look after both Dcs by himself (just don't think he is well enough for that yet) So my plan of action was to leave DS with DH and take DD with me but my mum has just said it will be impossible as we won't know what DD is eating etc. So back to the drawing board for trip...

slightly surreal moment here. I have been doing controlled crying with Nathan. Tonight as usual he drank himself to sleep, I put him in his cot, turned to pick something up, turned back to see him look at me, smiling, still looked at me when I left the room an hour ago. Still quiet . wish i had done it ages ago. Last night he slept until 12.45 in one go without a peep. I may not like it so much once I tell him tonight that he cannot have milk until gone 1am.

Simpson before your brother and his girlfriend do anything relating to visas can you speak to me first please. It is my job and so many people get in a mess because they do not realise how restrictive and complicated the system is

Bro's girlfriend is on a working/ visa which runs out in Aug (although has to stop working mid Jan)

The original plan was (she is a nanny) she was going to get employer to sponsor her to stay in country and work for them. They were happy to do this but apparently a nanny is not on list of jobs you can do that for.

She has dual citizen ship with US.

looks like she knows her stuff simpson. looks like best idea would be to go back to states or aussie, visit each other whenever they can and marry when they are ready. she can come here as a fiancee, marry him then apply to stay or they can marry where she lives then she can come on a spouse visa.

Think the plan might now be for her to go to the States as its a lot nearer for them to see each other than NZ.

But my bro is distraught But knows he does not want to marry her under pressure iyswim and he is only 21.

morning all

Nathan slept until 1.15am , then pood and fed, then woke at 4, another poo and general wakiness until 4.45 when I offered some water. I guess he got the hint that there would be no boobie cos he went bananas but then slept until 8.10 . Getting there certainly feeling more in control.

You have all been busy ladies havn't you?
I think Nathan is showing us all up with his clever stuff. Well done him.
What has everyone planned for their little ones birthdays? We will probably have a little tea party for George and invite a few friends.
We have 8 birthdays in January in all including dh on 20th and my niece who is going to be 16 on 22nd. As well as friends children.
George is cruising all the time now. Hardly ever crawls. Even does a Spiderman impression down the hall with his hands on the wall
Well I think thats about it from me. Still busy here with all my boys. Not sure if their a help or a hindrance tbh

DD seems much better today. I made her tea (just mince, peas, carrots, mashed butternut squash and a tomato & basil sauce)and had made enough for her to have it tomorrow too but Molly had other ideas and when she had eaten all her tea screamed loudly for more and has eaten tomorrows as well

Her bum is also much better and I think it is because I have cut her fruit intake down so her poo is not so acidy iyswim. The only fruit she has had today is a fruitapura pot and some banana.

DH is bathing both Dcs ATM. He is trying to get in my good books as he wants to go out and watch Man U beat play Middlesborough

Hope you all had good xmas has been pur first day off from visiting today so catching up on washing before packing for tom , back Fri.

We had lovely xmas and got our gas back late xmas eve!

Boxing day we went to il's then back Sat and out with family yesterday phew!!!!

Will be glad when it's back to normal i think. Although haven't drank too much as still have this chesty cough cold thing.

Congratulations Angechica! I sometimes think anniversaries etc are niicer if you don't do anything. We still have a noce time but in a more spontaneous fashion.

Ange happy anniversary! Am exactly the same with the dog biscuits she must be on her wy to a bag full by now! She finds them everywhere even when we think we have moved them all! How is dog with ds ? Have caught her running a few times with a growl when Martha pulls her fur or tail for the nth time!

Well was all busy busy here! We ended up having xmas dinner on our own which was lovely! Then a houseful in the evening.
DD loves her leapfrog table esp the little bit that opens and closes puts things in and out of it! She can stand unaided at the side of it and let go for brief moments.
DS loved his guitar and has been practicing , lovely
dd1 has so much baby stuff pram , cot , etc etc it's taking over!
Have had a lovely if hectic xmas!!
We are going to butlins for new year s am heading off tom until Fri if we ca get dog sitter sorted! Hoped my dad would help out but he won't so last minute begging today!

What everyone else planning for new year ???

I said i would take her to get special brave present if she was and she didn't even cry! Neither did neighbours dd so think it best to pepare them.
