I've lasted longer with Dylan than the other 2 before weaning and it didn't do either of them a bit of harm

my HV told me she'd be happy if I got to 18wks with Dylan and we managed to 21wks so I'm happy with that

the reason I only introduce one food at a time is because DD1 had a very serious egg allergy. DD2 shows no signs of problems so fingers crossed for Dylan too

DD2 is pushing her luck tonight banging and shoving on her bed trying to keep everyone else awake am getting increasingly annoyed as I have a lot to do tonight (ironing and tidying in our bedroom) but I can't do it until she goes over or she is a complete pest and keeps coming through

counting to ten through gritted teeth as I type

dizzydixies · 04/01/2009 20:21

VG glad to hear you're doing ok all things considered

pf is there a budget, do you have a preferred style/length/colour?

sibh I read a great book called 'stand and deliver' that the lovely lulumama recommended to me - got it off amazon if that helps?

PetitFilou1 · 04/01/2009 20:22

dizzy and vg Hello!

VG - I've just googled and there is a book on BLW on Amazon by Gill Rapley - it has good reviews so I may even get it myself. Ds1 is a terrible eater while dd is pretty good so who knows....

dizzy Here is the staple gun

don't tempt me pf I'm getting to be fecking furious [fume]

PetitFilou1 · 04/01/2009 20:27

dizzy Imagine you are on a white sandy beach, turquoise sea lapping the edge, palm fronds shading you, large mojito in your hand (and NO kids)

dizzydixies · 04/01/2009 20:28

bucket of mojito?

dizzydixies · 04/01/2009 20:30

pf I love these clara dress

and collette dress

PetitFilou1 · 04/01/2009 20:30

Oooh re dress, I would prefer a colour (not black -tis a wedding after all), bright pink, red, purple, navy all good colours on me, my knees and legs below them are ok so can do reasonably short if required, have a dreadful belly atm so must be able to disguise (or with magic knickers!

PetitFilou1 · 04/01/2009 20:31

Yes bucket of mojito or what about a v handsome naked fireman just pouring it down your throat with his fireman's hose

PetitFilou1 · 04/01/2009 20:32

Sorry dizzy had a buckets moment there didn't I (returns to normal)

dizzydixies · 04/01/2009 20:34

or

or

dizzydixies · 04/01/2009 20:36

pmsl - thank you for bucket and fireman

shall have a look for knee length/coloured/bright dress

dizzydixies · 04/01/2009 20:37

is there a budget?

dizzydixies · 04/01/2009 20:39

this? or pretty too

longwayfromhome · 04/01/2009 20:42

CC - cool! We can make earlier or later of this is easier.

Oh, so are my thoughts about trying BLW due to being brainwashed by MN. Oh dear.

dizzydixies · 04/01/2009 20:43

here

I like this but would understand its not to everyone's taste - hides a multitude of sins and would be easy to feed from

dizzydixies · 04/01/2009 20:47

this is LOVELY but £220 [meep]

Sibh · 04/01/2009 20:48

Thanks Sazzles, that would be great. I'll organise myself onto Facebook and send you details, money etc.

My sister is a bit about the whole internet chat idea but we all were before we were converted I suppose.

Dizzy, occupy yourself with that fireman instead of tormenting me with more pics of pretty shiny things! That red dress you recommended to No1 has been popping into my mind unbidden all day ... Though my youngest DSis has just acquired a boyfriend so there may be one more wedding to dress up for yet.

On the weaning thing, Dizzy, DD1 refused bananas until she was nearly one and now we have to hide them from her because she'd demolish a bunch of them. I had thought that all babies loved bananas too.
She also refused puddings of all kinds point blank. Parental preening about this turned out to be premature though. She has turned into a chocolate fiend over Christmas.

PetitFilou1 · 04/01/2009 20:49

Love all the Hobbs dresses but a bit mystified as to how I would bf while wearing

the silver one is a no no though - I don't do bias cut I have (ahem) child bearing hips and am normally pear shaped (although more hour glass atm!)

dizzydixies · 04/01/2009 20:49

bargin at £20?

alittlebitshy · 04/01/2009 20:49

I've been pondering BLW. Did'n't now about it with dd in 2003 - and weaned at 17 weeks with her cos i was told too

Not sure I'll do pure BLW but want to read the book anyhow. Must order it. I think Ds needs to be getting food into him and fast. Being a big solid lad i think that milk is no longer totally cutitng it for him.... 3 weeks then we're going to go for it!! dd is so excited about it bless her.

dizzydixies · 04/01/2009 20:50

am not doing very well at the whole bfing dress am I sorry??!

got a bit carried away

sambo303mincepiesconsumed · 04/01/2009 20:52

dizzy you are a veritable FISP (fecking internet shopping genius)! Had forgotten about shopping/dresses as I live in 2 pretty ugly bf dresses...drool

ts hmm re diamonds - I sold my engagement ring from previous marriage and got £140 for the platinum and £40 for the diamond - the ring had cost £1600 and the diamond was 0.25 carats. I have another diamond engagemen ring from dp which I absolutely LOVE and I don't care what its worth on the market cos it's priceless to me!
