up to £100 max and thats pushing it!

Sibh · 04/01/2009 20:53

Fab dress but 220 I think ...
Possibly worth it just on the grounds of being able to claim you own a 'porcini' coloured dress if anyone asks.

alittlebitshy · 04/01/2009 20:53

loads of chat as i hadn't refreshed

Sibh · 04/01/2009 20:54

I am also going to try BLW I think ... will check that Nigella book. 2 months to go with exclusive bf

dizzydixies · 04/01/2009 20:55

was hoping for some bargins in the sales

my engagement ring was made for me by a good friend of my dad's who was a diamond merchant, I have no idea what it is worth, I know what it cost (I think) but I love it to bits and hope to compliment it by resetting my mum's jewellery to match (if I eventually get given it )

sambo thank you

sambo303mincepiesconsumed · 04/01/2009 20:57

FISG not FISP

sambo303mincepiesconsumed · 04/01/2009 20:58

unless the P stands for paragon

dizzydixies · 04/01/2009 20:59

girls, can I PLEASE say this without sounding patronising or appearing up myself [meep]

the recommended 6 months before weaning is a guideline brought in because HVs etc were finding people putting baby rice in bottles of babies as young as 3wks old to try to get them to sleep through

great if you get there but please don't be breaking your hearts if you start feeding sooner

dizzydixies · 04/01/2009 21:00

sazzles from what I remember the Ghost sizes are pretty true to form, has been a while since I could fit or afford them

order it tonight Sazz and they should hopefully post it out by tomorrow, mon at latest

poppysocks · 04/01/2009 21:11

I too bow at your feet FISG Dizzy. How are you so fast at a. finding things and b. posting them WITH a working link?

pf - We went to a wedding at the start of October, 9 weeks post birth . I got away with it (I think!), with a wrap dress and pashmina. Not stupendously up to the minute fashion wise but both were so nice that (I think) it looked ok and feeding was fine. Luckily there were plenty of friends (and DH!) on hand to help me tie up again post feed (having just had to loosen the ties) and could maintain propriety with the pashmina. Biggest problem was coming to terms with heels for the first time in ages and tottering around with a small baby.

poppysocks · 04/01/2009 21:18

Re: weaning, I'm trying to hold out for the 6 months, but that's out of sheer laziness. TBH though I suspect we're not going to make it. Even pureed a the surfeit of carrots that DH and I had both bought by accident. Having E weighed tomorrow for the first time in a month so we'll see where we are after that. Instinctively feel though that we're pretty much there.

I have to confess that I want to exclusive bf to 6 months if I can cos I really like it!! I just want ds to be a wee baby a bit longer and food seems really grown up! Have I got munchhausens by proxy?

BucketsofReindeerPoo · 04/01/2009 21:41

No you're just a control freak Mommy Dearest who'll have him in lederhosen for his graduation ceremony.

Have just accidentally switched on to Sleb BB and Terry Christian is on it so now I am hooked. Always fancied him and thought he was actually really clever despite what everyone thought of The Word - but is that rosey retrospective spectacles? Like I watched Point Break recently and was to discover it's very very poor and Keanu can't act for toffee.

sambo303mincepiesconsumed · 04/01/2009 22:00

I love that film 'Mommie Dearest'

I saw Terry Christian in the flesh in 1993 in Didsbury when I was a student in Manchester

sambo303mincepiesconsumed · 04/01/2009 22:01

or even 'Mommy Dearest' - Faye Dunaway is a legend
