Reese woke on cue at 4:15am to feed. She had one little eye sealed shut because of her cold. Thankfully I'd brought a glass a water to the bedroom last night so I dipped her burp cloth in it then pressed the corner over her eye (gently) while she feasted. It didn't phase her one bit. The goo loosened by the time she was done. She gave me one quick glance with both eyes open then.....zzzz zzzz zzz zzzz zzz.

I finally got to meet my niece who is 6 days older than Sebastian. She feels so small compared to him, even though he's been losing weight because of being poorly.
Older niece has changed soooo much since I last saw her. She's lovely though, and is beginning to have a bit of a Scottish accent

VG that is absolutely horrible. Nothing is sacred anymore. What goes around comes around....they better be on the lookout.

Brings up a half funny story. My MIL's house was burglarized Thanksgiving before last. They took her laptop, her cell phone, PIL's cell phone, DNiece's computer and a bottle of Jack Daniels. Here's the funny part. MIL gets a phone call from her cell phone. The angry man on the other end of the phone is ranting about not being able to figure out how to use the blasted thing. Seems he purchased it from the robber. Even funnier...HE CALLED TWICE! The police were able to recover the phones but the computers and the JACK DANIELS have been written off as LONG GONE.

Yep Sazzles, I was up. Test driving the idea of working out with a group at 5:15am every Tuesday and Thursday beginning 13JAN. I think it's doable.

LOL it's really not as bad as it sounds. Reese wakes at 4am to feed so I'm up. It's just about getting my backside out of the bed and out the door. I'm thinking I could sleep in my workout clothes then all I'd have to do is put on my shoes and coat. Worked in Prep School.

Been into town, was feeding Oliver in the parents room at John Lewis when another mum came in with a tiny baby. Ds1 has the following convo with her:

ds1: what's your baby called?
Lady (with a distinct accent): She doesn't have a name yet, I can't decide what to call her.
ds1: well we called our baby Oliver Benjamin S**f
Lady: that's a lovely name
ds1: I know, everyone says that. What country are you from?
Lady: I am from Italy
ds1: When are you going back?

Thank goodness she wasn't offended!!!!

sorry for all the shite luck and antisocial behaviour going around people make me so depressed sometimes.

re. late night feeds, you may recall that i was planning to introduce a dreamfeed at around 11pm; i never did it as i realised that DS basically wakes himself for a dreamfeed at that time so bedtime is 7-8pm, he'll wake around 11pm for food and then on a good night sleep till 3am or 4am. it varies though...last night he was up 3 times in a row with hunger/wet nappy between 10.30pm and midnight, slept till 4am, then tried to wake up and party at 5.30am, wtf?

i guess he'll sleep through when he's ready, although i do wonder if i should be doing anything to help or encourage this.

VG - that is really awful. Is DS1 ok? He's old enough to be very unsettled about that kind of thing isn't he?

The car thing happened to us before Dizzy and it is so pointless it's infuriating. Glad to hear that your friends are ok though after what must have been a terrible experience.

DD2 is waking every hour or hour and a half at the minute. There's lots of other stuff going on which means I don't have a minute to myself until well after midnight every night, but apparently if I wobble about it, I just need to pull myself together.

Off to do domestic tasks in a huffy 'look how hard I work' manner
