morning all
vg hope you enjoy your time away.
ts that skin care stuff sounds wonderful, I am always on the look for something for my legs, to make them ultra soft. Nothing works so far.

buckets I had a peep at that video too, how funny and sweet.

sazzles hope dd1 bump is ok

cc hope little Oliver is ok

dizzy Hi glad you had good xmas. I have been thinking of you and cyteen this past few days hope you are doing ok

oops hope you enjoyed your first christmas in your new home as a family

Had a terrible night here again with dd, not sure why she is waking and staying awake for around 2 hours. She has never done this before. Not even sure what is wrong or what she wants. Any ideas?? Could it be teeth?? Tummy ache?? Its killing me tbh.
I have never wished any of her life/develepment away but I now cant wait till she can actually tell me whats wrong.

Marcus however is in his own room sleeping well, didnt wake till 6 this am. Still snotty and coughing but better.

dizzydixies · 28/12/2008 09:51

No1 right there with you, Dylan was up for ages during the night and when I managed to get her over DD2 was up

anyone got some matchsticks for my eyes please?

dizzydixies · 28/12/2008 12:42

good grief give me strength - Dylans two bottom teeth are like razors and its making me wince everytime - I can't remember how I got past this bit with the other two but I must have as they got their teeth really early on

any suggestions?!

cyteen · 28/12/2008 13:15

greetings all, we've had a fab christmas and returned from familyville LADEN with cool stuff (most of it joe's, obviously). he was brilliant and coped really well with the whirlwind of new places and faces, only having a meltdown on boxing day night...but then woke up with a stinking cold the next morning, a proper snotter, so understandable. my sympathies to all similarly afflicted babies!

no1 thanks for thinking of me christmas day with my family was wonderful, but there was a large and noticeable absence

i'm all for new, less info-laden stats although personally would prefer something plainer than the 'blessed' list...no offence intended, it's just not my style. but am happy to go with whatever

oh, and once again i have truly stuffed my face this christmas DP and i are planning a healthful january, less no booze and lots of low fat meals planned.

BucketsofReindeerPoo · 28/12/2008 13:53

How about 'achieved' instead of 'was blessed'? Our DPs were blessed, we worked our socks off.

Anyone else ukuleleing yet? I had a good session on Xmas day evening but haven't picked it up since. DH says it's more important to keep time than to get the fingers right. The next Uke Jam is the day that he has the snip so if he's too poorly to go I shall go instead! My pretty milkshake pink uke needs to see and be seen (but not heard.)

I'm hoping DH will quit smoking temporarily for the new year so that I can (my excuse is that I'm easily led.) Have pointed out that it will help speed his recovery so you never know.

TwilightSurfer · 28/12/2008 13:56

Sazzles may have a better concept for it when she stops by. Basically it's whatever ya'll like and what is EASIEST for her.

Reese slept from 8:30PM until 8AM. SERIOUSLY! No waking, No needing dummie replaced.

Sorry for those who's lo's didn't sleep through.
{{{{twilight passes over some tape for droopy eye lids}}}} works better than matchsticks.

TwilightSurfer · 28/12/2008 13:58

Buckets were those you uke videos that followed your kids on fb? I watched one and it was excellent.

TwilightSurfer · 28/12/2008 13:58

your uke

cyteen · 28/12/2008 14:37

Aye TS i like the look of that Agree though that whatever is easiest for Sazzles is best.

So tell me a little about what you/your LOs got for Christmas then girls...DS got loads of cool toys and lovely clothes, and we now have more baby socks than i rightly know what to do with Between mine and DP's family we also got given a full set of weaning equipment - spoons, bowls, snack pots, freezer trays, bottle-to-cup trainer, disposable bibs, Annabel Karmel cookbook and two highchair toys. Shame I was planning on trying BLW although i must admit i am excited by the idea of making purees [extra treble sad emoticon]

i got: loads of books, some great CDs, a purple clutch bag and a beautiful silver bangle, amongst other things.

TwilightSurfer · 28/12/2008 15:02

Cyteen you scored BIG. I've got an Annabel Karmel book that I used for DD1. I LoVED it. I'm looking forward to purees too. I'm waiting just a bit longer so I don't waste so much.

DD1 got Barbie Diamond Castle Dolls from Santa. And the movie. She got some games and a cash register, some makeup and some other odds and ends that haven't made their way to her room yet.

Reese got loads of chew toys and an seat style activity center. She didn't ask for much this year.

I got a 4 slice toaster and DH got a breadmaker. Those were the under the tree items. I've bought way more for the two of us over the past month.

DD1 was quick to point out that SANTA didn't leave us any big ticket items under the tree.

That about covers it. I'm a minimalist so it was a very very good Christmas in my mind.

no1putsantaupthechimney · 28/12/2008 15:51

Hi cyteen It must have been difficult
Sorry to here another snotty baby.
dizzy at teeth
Well We got lots of bits here too. Dh got me a Nintendo ds (my mum says I am a big spoilt baby)
Came with cooking/recipe guide for many different countries and also Brain training.
Do ya think my dh is trying to tell me something???? (cant cook and thick)

DD got a kitchen from us and other bits.
DS got gorgeous merino wool outfit with hat and scarf from my mum. so cute, not sure how to do links but its from 'Bonnie baby'
DD also got lots of ITNG crap toys from everyone. Her little face lit up when she unwrapped these so that makes me happy.

TwilightSurfer · 28/12/2008 17:34

DH flew the coup to go watch football with his brother.
Reese is asleep in my Moby.
DD1 is a tad too quiet.
I am waiting for pizza delivery.
House looks like a tornado touched down.
Life is good.

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 28/12/2008 17:39

ooh Pizza My favourite and I havnt had one foe a very long time.
What toppings????

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 28/12/2008 17:44

funny our house looks like that too. I have toys in the kitchen, toys in the conservatory and toys and tv on in the front room
Ds sat at my feet whinging bless. He has whinged all day and been sick a few times too.
I cant wait for him to get over this bug or whatever it is.

DD not long since woke from nap. She is never going down at 7 now.
Oh well I was desperste, shame ds didnt go down at the same time.

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 28/12/2008 17:45

ds has also been making cute smacking noises with his lips/mouth. looks and sounds very cute.

TwilightSurfer · 28/12/2008 17:57

no1 sorry about ds. my dd1 has whined for two weeks straight...i would love for there to be a reason.

pizza had black olives, roma tomatoes and a little ground beef (will not get the beef topping next time). Aside from the beef it was EXCELLENT.

reese still asleep.
dd1 now setting up dvd to play a movie.
i am going to flip through yet another fitness mag.

dizzy, thought of something to help you. booby shield (forgive me i'm sure they have a proper name). can you use one of those to save your nips from dylan's teeth?

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 28/12/2008 18:05

ts I seriously need to rethink my fitness regime. I cant even get into the gym which is at the side of our bloody house.
The only thing I can think of is a workout dvd in the front room while dc's are about.
There are so many how do you decide what to get

TwilightSurfer · 28/12/2008 18:16

There use to be an internet site that allowed you to preview exercise videos before you bought them. Otherwise it's all rather RANDOM. I wish I had a good answer for you. Last night I read about two good ones that I'm interested in and a third I found by accident. I've not ordered anything yet but will post info about a few over on Hot Mamas.

OhLittleBitShyOfBethlehem · 28/12/2008 18:46

Just checking in - been at my parents (still here) since Xmas day....

dizzy Henry's 2 teeth are not hurting me unles he chomps down which he's only done once. Dreading the top 2 coming though as the tongue kind of hides the bottom 2 while he's feeding but top ones must be free to chomp with ow.

got to go.

cyteen · 28/12/2008 20:04

no1 I used to have a friend who would buy random exercise videos from charity shops...because they were VHS tapes they were dirt cheap and it meant she got to try a very varied selection. If you still have a VHS player this could be a good option? I seem to remember her favourites were Mr Motivator and the Hotpants Workout

oopsIstuffedaturkey · 28/12/2008 20:19

Well there were loads of pressies here - DD got clothes, more clothes, bumbo, squishy things, cuddly things, and a playring plus too much more to handle. I only got one present but boy was it a fab one - I got a white gold tennis bracelet with a stunning card thanking me for giving him the most amazing present ever - DD. I cried and cried it was so romantic and un-him-like.

No1 - Mr Motivator is back on ITV in the new year

DD's tooth seems to have returned to the gum - it's red and sore again but no little white tooth visable anymore.
