honeymoon lovely story, how mad it was a year ago we were all busy with a bit of nookie and here we all are now

myjob please try not to get upset, I know how you feel and its horrible as you just want your body back. Just give it time , that is what everyone says to me. Are you back to your pre pregnancy weight? Just thought you had said that you were in a post to me ahile ago? I am but still have a wobble on my belly (a baby bag they call it!) It just makes you so self conscious!

pistachio your DS in 6-9 bless him, so lovely to have a bit of meat but also sweet when thay are tiny too. Babies are all fab and great to all be different in their own ways

Jenwa - your profile still says that you have one child!

Myjob - Oh woman! You are not being judged by the rest of the world. If they're looking at you, it's probably because they're thinking 'wow, what a beautiful family'. Keep getting some exercise , like you have been doing and when you're body is ready, I'm sure you'll get to a point where you're happy again. BTW I thought Jenwa's LO looked like Naomi too! We all seem to have very beautiful babies!

Honeymoon - what a lovely story and so romantic. I read it out to my DH and even he said Awwwww, how lovely. Groovy wedding too!

star6 · 25/01/2009 08:15

how cute are you girls in their matching outfita, jenwa! precious!
I'm so sorry myjob, didnt mean to make anyone feel I agree with csws about how your body is coping with less food. you look very pretty in your pics so Im sure you're being much harder on yourself than anyone else looking at you.
honeymoon what a cute story! and it explains your name

jenwa · 25/01/2009 08:52

myjob how funny, I thought the same but did not say anything incase you never thought it
Poor you though, please dont worry, I know how you feel though. I remember before Phoebe was born everyone admiring the bump and then afterwards people looking to see if you have lost the weight! Its like nowadays people are more interested about how we look too due to stupid celebrities being photographed after having babies looking like a stick! Believe me they all have issues and are airbrushed too Please just let it take its time, you dont need to diet, maybe just keep active and see how things go. I completely understand though and feel the same. I am so paranoid about wearing something that may ride up incase someone sees my tummy
csws whoops will change that
star I know how sad with the matching outfits but I had to when I went to next sale (5am!!!) and they were just hanging there

jenwa · 25/01/2009 09:13

Can you remind me if any of you formula feed and how do you make your feed up?
With dd1 i made them up in advance now I heard you cant so fill bottles with boiled water and leave on side until required then add formula, now I hear that you should add the powder to boiled water to kill bacteria and let bottle cool down to give but to be honest if dd wakes for a feed it is a long time to boil a kettle, make it and let cool down in time before she explodes from crying
Just wondered what people do as just seen a thread on here about it and some people are very against making them in advance!!! Others in america just add water from tap!

Honeymoonmummy · 25/01/2009 09:43

Pics are gorgeous Jenwa.

CSWS, can't we come to the birthday party too??

MM no, we don't have a video of the speech unfortunately, my brothers girlfriend was supposed to do it but she forgot

Is anyone planning christenings yet?

Also, for those of you with babies on gaviscon now or in the past, the HV told us to boil water and leave it covered in the kitchen (not the fridge) for 24 hours - is this what you do/ did?

star6 · 25/01/2009 09:57

Jenwa I would think that as long as bottle ie sealed shut (with lid) that would be fine to make in advance?
The few times we've had to give formula (in emergency when I couldnt get there in time and ran out of ebm) it has been from one of those juice box like containers, so ready made. I'm no expert with this... but think having to make when she'a hungry sounds unreasonable...

ronshar · 25/01/2009 10:54

New Kids on the Block were fantastic last night. Brilliant night out.
William and the girls where angels apparently but DH actually let me sleep in this am and also volunteered to do first nappy of the day. May be he has a small taste of my daily life

Honeymoonmummy · 25/01/2009 11:28

Ha ha Ronshar! I was never really a fan of NKOTB, the lead singer (Donnie?) was pretty nice looking tho... I can't even imagine escaping for the night at the moment, so well done!

Honeymoonmummy · 25/01/2009 11:29

DH is taking Poppy out for a walk later. Do I go with them or stay at home and do the (as yet unused) Davina post-natal DVD???

jenwa · 25/01/2009 12:06

star thank you, yes I think m,aking when hungry not fair really

ronshar glad you had a good night and on dh having a small taste of what its like! they all need to sometimes!!!

honeymoon stay at home and have a relaxing bath, stuff the dvd treat yourself instead if dh gone long enough you can always say you did dvd he he !!!!!

Honeymoonmummy · 25/01/2009 12:10

Ha ha Jenwa I just told DH what I'd posted and he guessed what you said pretty much word for word!! Including bath and telling him I did DVD!

jenwa · 25/01/2009 12:13

need some advice on what to get for dd2!
she has playmat but pretty standard and a swing and bouncy chair but the chair is boring and the swing a pain to put her in and take her back out if miserable so wanted to know what you all have, maybe some activity thing? she so intrested in everthing and looking about at things.

look at this what do you think? it folds down etc
or this

jenwa · 25/01/2009 12:15

or this

jenwa · 25/01/2009 12:19

whoops meant this

Honeymoonmummy · 25/01/2009 12:27

Both look good jenwa. Poppy can't use stuff like that cos she doesn't like lying on her back or front with the reflux. I worry she's not getting enough tummy time.

Honeymoonmummy · 25/01/2009 12:28

Doh!

jenwa · 25/01/2009 12:49

Oh poor thing honeymoon You cant give tummy time if she gets too poorly, dont worry about it, they cant cope on their tummys for too long anyway, dd2 only does it sometimes for a few minutes and you can see its not as comfy!

jenwa · 25/01/2009 12:51

love this I know its pushchairs again!! Still not completely decided on that either! Like the Macleren quest still too.
cant find one with big basket and light and nice colour!
like this too!

Honeymoonmummy · 25/01/2009 13:26

Right, DH has just gone out and I'm loading up Davina. Noone try to stop me...
