And should I bother with a cossie underneath? And what if anything do I need to do with regard to her ears?

can i join the no sleep club too. Joe's cough has been really bad ad now has antibiotics and nebuliser to help him breathe. HAd to take him back to docs as hadn't fed or weed for hours. He was feednig for about 10 secs then started screaming and refusing to feed - so not like him. The antibiotics have given him diarrhoea so doc was going to admit him but Joe decided to wee at this point all over the surgery - that's my boy!! He had no sleep during the day yesterday so at bedtime he was too tired to feed and he has been so off his food i let him sleep and went to express - big mistake. He woke 1/2 hour later absolutely starving but won't take a bottle so i was up til 2am feeding/winding/changing nappies. he woke again at 3.30 for more to eat, back to bed at 4.30 and then ds1 woke me at 6 as he couldn't find his dinosaur AAAGGGHH.

Joe's better today and coughing less and eating more. got to go as Joe crying

pepperrabbit · 23/01/2009 13:13

Oh loulou that sounds just awful (and eerily like my night - except I was looking for Monkey )
A particular low point for me was dropping the medised spoon on to the loo brush in the dark......

ronshar · 23/01/2009 14:47

Crikey Loulou, you must be shattered. Poor Joe. I hope he gets better soon.

I know Kookiegoddess is having a hard time with her little one, a few threads she has started are of the help what do I do. So far she has had lots of positive support from everyone so thats good.
I have spoken to perkypopsy a couple of times and she is getting on great but tired.
Not sure about anyone else??

William had his 3 month check with HV this morning. He is 13lb now. That is a whole lb since the last weigh in 3 weeks ago! She said he was doing great and I was fantastic for still breast feeding. Yipee top of the class for me

William still cant sleep at night for toffee so bottom of the class for his sleeping abilities.
I am with you all in the yawning.

ronshar · 23/01/2009 14:48

Pepper, I hope you have another spoon, theres no way I would go looking for that now

Honeymoonmummy · 23/01/2009 18:56

God Loulou, that sounds awful! Best wishes to you and Joe.

star6 · 23/01/2009 19:05

you know who i want to hear from is bethoo!!! She had such an exciting life to follow

Well, noticed definite white spots on ds tongue tonight went to gp and got nystatin with a dropper for him and fluconazole tablets and daktarin cream for me... but still using silverettes so cracked nipples dont tear on breast pads, so not sure if cream will work with silverettes? dont know how got thrush again... wash all the time and change breast pads4x a day... do you change more?

Honeymoonmummy · 23/01/2009 19:09

Was Bethoo the lady who met a man while pregnant?

Gosh, you do seem to have probs with your nipples Star don't you? Touch wood, I cant remember the last time mine hurt. Is it possible you have a positioning/ latching problem? I dont know, maybe I've just been lucky.

star6 · 23/01/2009 19:30

Loulou. I hope Joe has tired himself out sufficiently for a good night's sleep tonight!

4andnotout · 23/01/2009 19:56

Evening all
Had my postnatal check today @13 weeks
Tilly-Grace is fine but i refused to have an internal (why she needed to feel my womb from the inside i dont know?!) and so the doctor told me to sit up using my tummy muscles, as i did it she said "oh there are some there under all that fat!" Lucky im one of those people who couldn't give a shit what people say but if i wasn't i could have found it quite hurtful!
Tilly-Grace took longer to settle tonight and had to have calpol for her teeth, towards the end of bedtime perios she was using me as a dummy and even now i can hear her slurping on her hand over the monitor.
I agree i want to hear how Bethoo is getting on, she had loads going on in her life!

Totally! [outraged emoticon]

Ekka was due the same day as me.

Anyone wayching the big brother final tonight? I'm a sad BB fan I'm afraid!

4andnotout · 23/01/2009 20:20

I should make a complaint really as that could have really upset someone who was worried about their weight, especially thie period post natal when your body has changed. I think if someone had said it to me after dd1 i would have cried!

Honeymoonmummy · 23/01/2009 20:29

Exactly! EXACTLY! OMG I cant believe she said it! Was she peed off at you refusing internal?

loulou33 · 23/01/2009 20:33

4andnotout - i would complain too but i don't know how much difference it would make to that doctor. Someone who says things like that are rarely bothered by complaints imo.

Pepper - lol at the spoon, that must have been soooo annoying. Why is that despite you geting a spoon with each bottle of medicine but when you go back to the box, there's never a spoon in there? I swear we had about 6 in the bathroom last week and there are none there now!! Where do they go......

I think we should start a 'find bethoo' campaign. her likfe was far more interesting than mine every will be!

Here's hoping for better night tonight, lets face it it can't be much worse. Joe is asleep having fed at 6pm and a top-up at 7pm. I think i'm beginning to hallucinate with sleep deprivation and weirdly i don't feel tired AT ALL. Off to friends house for Burns Supper tomorrow night and am very excited about it (isn't that sad that a meal at a friends with children in tow is so exciting? Bethoo where are you...) Will be home by 8 though to put ds1 to bed so not sure it really counts as a 'night out'

Hope we all get to be members of the full nights sleep club tonight

loulou33 · 23/01/2009 20:48

just added a new picture to my profile of the boys. I've used this picture om my thank you cards for their xmas presents. Just got to get round to writing the damn things now. Can't wait for the boys to be old enough to do their own.....

heather1980 · 23/01/2009 20:56

why did you have an internal? when i had my exam the dr never even touched me, we had a chat and he gave me the pill that's it.

4andnotout · 23/01/2009 21:06

I refused the internal as i haven't had one after the other 3 dd's were born. She said it was to check my womb etc but i told her it sll feels fine thanks very much!

CantSleepWontSleep · 23/01/2009 21:14

Oh don't loulou - I still haven't started writing our thank yous .
Enjoy your 'night' out tomorrow.

Sorry to hear that lots of the rest of you are having bad nights at the moment too.
If we get a better night tonight then I know that it's either his teeth bothering him, as he's had calpol eventually tonight (went to sleep beautifully but woke after about 45 mins and was really upset and trying as usual to get his hands in his mouth, so we gave him a little bit), or he absolutely loathes the Amby (as I've now put him in our bed), which I think is a little less likely.

I can't see why you needed an internal either 4andnotout - there was no such suggestion for me (I only had mine this week too).

Star - I shower or bathe once a day, and wear one pair of breast pads throughout the whole day (I don't leak very much). Sorry to hear that you have thrush again.

Will you give popsy my best next time you speak to her Ronshar, and tell her that it would be lovely to have her back. In fact she and KSal and I (and Sallypuss if she's still about) really all should meet up, as we're all in the same general area.

I'd like to see pistachio back posting again. She and I seemed to see eye to eye on a lot of parenting issues.

How is dd dealing with his arrival?
