Here we are, finally made it to another thread.

Congratulations Sponge, that's exciting! How do you feel? Rotten?

Auntgriselda, Hasan is feeding loads! Usually wakes at 5.30 for leisurely breakfast, then mid morning snack, afters for lunch, mid afternoon snack, afters for tea, supper, evening snack, midnight snack. Ooh he's a so and so.

When I tried to cut him down he became more demanding at night He really howls if I turn him down So I haven't the heart turn him down (for now - am a softy walkover!)
The thing is I'm available and on tap all day and all night.
I'm resigned to going cold turkey because I think if I try to do it gradually it will prolong the agony. At the moment he eats well but not alot.
Once I stop he'll eat loads like his brother I think.

But keeping going until he is two if I can.

Still co sleeping with Hasan and ds2. They cuddle up together -very cute. I'm planning to eventually relocate to my own bed in the next few months too.

Cor really can't imagine having another little one now

No idea what to get him for Christmas......

DD3 is three today!!!!!!!!!

SuperSillyus · 22/12/2008 12:59

Happy birthday Kitty's dd3!!! hope you have fun!

My guys are all pretty sick today but I'm functioning thank goodness.
Dragged them out and it was a bit of a nightmare. I swear I'm not going to leave a single thing to the last minute next year!

AuntGriselda my sister is a very stubborn lady and she finds it hard to do things in small amounts. She thinks that if she had a tv she would watch it obsessively and forget to live her life...she may be right

Hasan is a bit violent too at the moment. He is for ever hurting the others. They are very good and don't hurt him back, hopefully he'll eventually get the hang of being gentle.

Happy Birthday Kitty's DD - hope you get some cake

Super IKWYM - I have an addictive personality myself. Just as well your sis doesn't know about MN isn't it?

Can you record Dr Who? Or take a portable TV?

Have just got back from office booze up party

Callieco · 23/12/2008 20:51

Merry Christmas everyone. hope you all have a lovely time and do manage to have a bit of R&R. I'm about to start wrapping. Still debating whether or not to get DS one more thing tomorrow....

mygreatauntgriselda4christmas · 23/12/2008 22:26

Callie - me too (debating whether to get one more thing, that is)

Hic!!!!

kittywise · 24/12/2008 10:55

Well, we have had our first christmas dinner of the year, crackers and all. My dad, step mum and brother came on Monday, we ate and did pressies yesterday and they went today. Tomorrow my mum and step dad arrive and we do it all again!!!!!

My parents do not do being in the same room together

mygreatauntgriselda4christmas · 24/12/2008 14:00

LOL Kitty - neither to DH and I!!

Thanks for the card

Am actually ready for Christmas now - just 4 more cards to deliver localy and a quick swim this afternoon, then I shall succumb to an alcoholic haze

TheBlonde · 24/12/2008 14:12

Happy Christmas folks, still not ready for the festivities here but I'm sure it will all come together eventually

SuperSillyus · 24/12/2008 20:20

Happy Christmas everyone. Am half dead from flu, didn't get anything finished, Hasan is only getting a small drum from me but I'm sure he won't care.
Feel so bad I might be spending christmas day in bed
Ds1 is being Santa tonight and dh is cleaning and changing nappies maybe I should die of flu more often

kittywise · 24/12/2008 21:05

poor you super, let's hope a night's sleep will at least enable you to open pressies tomorrow.

Isn't it always the way, blooming winter illnesses fangry]

SuperSillyus · 25/12/2008 20:15

Wasn't too bad, I made it to my sisters, and back home to watch Dr Who (am a bit of a state though)

...But Hasan had a sad sad christmas last night he was burning up all night even with maximum dosage and today he cried all day really and was too sick to care at all about his pressies. Such a shame.

I think I'll have to give him an extra special birthday in March... hope all the other toddlers had a better time and look forward to hearing how they all got on.

kittywise · 26/12/2008 12:04

Poor you super, hope you and hassan are both feeling better today.
On a brighter note, hassan won't know it was christmas. I'm sure he'll be quite happy to open his presents on any day! And as you say there's always is birthday and he'll be that much older and will appreciate it more then.

I'm f*ked. I've done 2 christmas dinners this week, pretty well without help. I feel resentful and have to make sure that it doesn't happen again next year so that i actually get to enjoy some of christmas next time.

Hope everyone else had a decent time!

mygreatauntgriselda4christmas · 26/12/2008 12:49

Kitty I had a wee tantrum on Christmas Eve about how !"everyone enjoy yourself, won't you, while I do all the work?!!" DH being extra nice now - even got a festive romp for the first time in a year, though I have gone right off it now anyway (saving myself for David Tennant

Super - oh poor you and Hasan - hope the Doctor made you feel a bit better with his magic meds!

True Hasan won't mind when he opens his pressies - The Fat Toddler and DD are fighting over who gets to play with the cardboard boxes, while they ignore the toys that the boxes contained

Hugs to you all - can't help smiling at the thought of your DP having to do all the work (snigger...)

spongecake · 28/12/2008 13:58

hi, hope you all had a nice time and feel better if you have been ill.
am having total nightmare and keep getting panic attacks "see herewww.mumsnet.com/Talk/employment_issues/672658-think-lost-job-before-it-starts-any-advice

RTP, nice to see you back your old boss sounds a pig btw.
kitty, if you are still wondering who it is, its me!

catweazle · 28/12/2008 15:29

Silly, sorry to hear Hasan's been sick. Hope he's feeling better.

kitty sounds stressful

We all (bar DH and DS1) went to see the pro panto last night.DD2 wasn't sure what to make of it but loved the singing and dancing and was bopping away in front of the seat we had to pay full price for!

SuperSillyus · 29/12/2008 08:42

Catweazle the panto sounds fun!

Sponge I think the restaurant business is not family friendly and it seems alot of chefs are nomadic...maybe because they need to get away from the intensity of the workplace to pastures new for their sanity, but it means that vacancies are always coming up and maybe there is a wonderfull job for your dh just round the corner. Your situation at the moment is temperory. I really hope you aren't too overwhelmed.

We are recovering very slowly indeed, all coughing badly and I still feel a bit spaced out. The house is a mess. Hasan has turned into a complete limpet.

Do i actually know any of you here?

do you actually remember me?

i though ti would drop by and say hi, babies are growing fast and furious, cant quite believe that my brood are now almost 3, almost 2 and almost 1...time for another????

Happy New Year to one and all!

xxxx

catweazle · 31/12/2008 12:54

Of course you do Jay We all namechanged- I was being stalked (not really- a RL friend worked out my name) so changed from e**hope. You should recognise Hasan and the fat toddler

I don't know how you manage with your lot so close together. I'm finding this one a PITA. She is currently throwing cheese omlette all around the living room rather than eat it..

eidsvold · 31/12/2008 13:05

Kitty - this is fab for keeping them at bay nits that is not children

had a quite but lovely christmas here. Dd3 loves her beady thing and she got a potato head which she loves making up!! SH eis keen ont he trampoline but just has not got the hang of how to use it properly.

I took dd3 to see Madagascar 2 the other day - it was meant to be a family trip but dd1 and dd2 had a vomiting bug - got on the morning we bought the tickets for the movies - good idea planning ahead so dd3 came with me and my mum and she promptly fell asleep after about 10 minutes and slept all the way through!!

Summer holidays and we are almost 1/2 way through. I am in the middle of changing dd3's room to dd1's room and putting dd3 in with dd2. We are going to keep her in her cot for a bit for her to get used to her new room and then put her in a bid girl bed when she is 2. At the moment she is in our room whilst we paint the walls and floor of the other room. So we get woken up with hello mummy. Hello daddy!!

Piffle · 31/12/2008 13:21

Hello All!
Mental time of year. Have beenjuggling trio of minor/moderate and very sick kids plus one vicious sinusitis(me) plus my mum got the flu too. DP fine but with a new IMac computer to play on, he redefines uselessness.
Finn and Emmy both have double eye conjunctivitis and vomiting (night only of course) so oh joy.

And the MN Moldies saga has put me off MN big style (am a Moldie you see)

Sorry to Sponge, such a godawful stress you've been put under. Hope the New Year brings better news.

As for Finn he tried windsurfing on his trike and fell off, forehead first of course, then the nose... Cue a bruise roughly moon sized and blood coloured coupled with the gammy eyes and eternal snot trail... Gorgeous child
But bless him he does not hit or bite, his attack mode is by throwing with accuracy and force. Our dining room double glazed window was one innocent victim. Now we hit a window with a table leg with some force last week and nothing, so we cannot figure how he did it.

Well that's all from me. Hope to post more interesting news soon!
Happy new year everyone.!!!

TheBlonde · 31/12/2008 19:12

Just a quick Happy New Year from me

Jay - are you sure you're finished? tempted to have a 4th?

SuperSillyus · 31/12/2008 19:46

Happy new year everyone!
I'm being a boring fart and going to bed early. In a year or two I might be up for partying again but for now I'm not...though I'm not impressed really..feel like a drudge who never has fun at the moment.

Must write some new year resolutions that might cheer me up

Nice to hear an update Eidsvold.

Piffle that whole moldies eruption is bonkers isn't it? Surely there are loads of breakaway groups? But I suppose some people found it upsetting -oh well. Is it nice and peacefull in the moldies camp?

Jay I'm also not convinced you are actually finished either I can totally imagine you with another.

How are you feeling Sponge?

HAPPY NEW YEAR....

Callieco · 31/12/2008 23:52

Happy New Year. As you can tell from post time, I'm not having a wild night out, having not left the house since last Friday cos first DS then I got the flu on Sat. Feel pants, but determined to see in 2009 and hope it is better than this one.

All the best to you guys.

Oh yes, can someone tell me what the Moldie thing is? Am intrigued.
