Here we are, finally made it to another thread.

Congratulations Sponge, that's exciting! How do you feel? Rotten?

Auntgriselda, Hasan is feeding loads! Usually wakes at 5.30 for leisurely breakfast, then mid morning snack, afters for lunch, mid afternoon snack, afters for tea, supper, evening snack, midnight snack. Ooh he's a so and so.

When I tried to cut him down he became more demanding at night He really howls if I turn him down So I haven't the heart turn him down (for now - am a softy walkover!)
The thing is I'm available and on tap all day and all night.
I'm resigned to going cold turkey because I think if I try to do it gradually it will prolong the agony. At the moment he eats well but not alot.
Once I stop he'll eat loads like his brother I think.

But keeping going until he is two if I can.

Still co sleeping with Hasan and ds2. They cuddle up together -very cute. I'm planning to eventually relocate to my own bed in the next few months too.

Cor really can't imagine having another little one now

No idea what to get him for Christmas......

great aunt, hope it was glamourous washing!yes, this one has captured toys laying about on lawn. AND she came back twice to get "better photos" grrr!

SuperSillyus · 11/12/2008 09:53

So yesterday Hasan was trying to play with my scissors, when I said 'no' he stroked my head and said 'sshh'

He tortured me last night. I woke up with a headache and a backache feeling as if I'd been feeding him all night. I don't think the box of cherry liquours that I ate yesterday helped

Off now to dd's nativity play, hanky at the ready....

OP posts:
mygreatauntgriselda4christmas · 11/12/2008 18:41

"Shhh" is that quite often used then by you LOL!?

kittywise · 11/12/2008 19:25

Ronnie says "f*ck off and leave me alone you whinging git"

Not really

SuperSillyus · 12/12/2008 09:55

lol Kitty. Yes I think I say 'sshh' quite often

dh has been around all week and I don't like myself when he's around I can't seem to stop nagging/backseat driving/feeling resentfull etc I know I can't change him so I have to change myself somehow. I want to be a loving person not a bitter twisted one! Actually think I'm premenstrual which is probably the main problem!

I want him to be around more but it looks like I'll have to pass through a pain barrier if it's going to work!

Yesterday I went without him to the nativity because he wasn't ready. He followed in his own car The mum standing beside me was in labour! Ooh she was sweating, she hasn't produced yet so I hope she has a good labour in the end. [glad it's not me emoticon]

OP posts:
mygreatauntgriselda4christmas · 12/12/2008 10:10

at the thought of being in labour whilst watching the nativity play!!!

spongecake · 12/12/2008 19:58

supersilly, am having same problem. i love dh being here, but am so used to being alone whilst he is working- he is so irritating just being here. i keep shouting and snapping - moaning and complaining. have no idea how to get things back. he maintains he does nothing wrong. which makes me want, and i must remind you am prgnt here, want to hit him with baseball bat.

when i say no to ds he throws whatever it is. or hides under the bed/ table with it. or says NO back. or cackles with laughter. then says pleeeeeeeeeese

am knackered- another day of no naps. have to wrap presents for rellies yet in france to post tomorrow. and have family over for lunch. dh just enquired what was for lunch tomorrow.hahahahahha. now, where's that bat? JOKE

SuperSillyus · 13/12/2008 07:49

Much sympathy spongecake! I am trying to remind myself of what I love about dh and try and focus on that. I probably need more 'me' time or breaks and it's not looking hopefull! But I am generally happy with life- things are seldom completely perfect I guess.
anyhoo dh is off again now might get this place tidied up again

Hasan woke every hour for alot of the night. dd and ds2 were up with asthma and wet beds so it wasn't a great night here.

kiwibella · 14/12/2008 15:49

sponge... I get "no" back from Kate too... or just giggles. It is so frustrating cos it's so damn cute and you can't (or shouldn't) grin .

Sorry to hear that it is harder having your dh's there Sponge and Rosy. I can imagine that resentment growing - especially when it is probably easier to just get on and do it.

Funny you going to the play ahead of your dh tho. Pity that woman in labour .

mygreatauntgriselda4christmas · 14/12/2008 21:44

IKWYM about DHs being annoying when they are about!!

Its easier when you can just get on with the routine isn't it?

SuperSillyus · 15/12/2008 10:34

Still no clue what to give Hasan for christmas, though I have one little goatskin drum unallocated which he played with and said 'mine' so I might wrap that up for him

Ds2 has his preschool booster and assessment today. Eek.

I'm still panicking about christmas...no cards sent yet, two parcels to post and about 10 more pressies to buy. I can't believe it's only next week! I can't keep up I really can't......

kiwibella · 15/12/2008 13:27

me too Silly, my head is deeply in the sand.

I bought some hairclips for Kate today and she was playing with them while we were in the bank. I felt a little awkward telling her they were lovely and for her santa stocking - like the others in queue would be thinking strange mummy .

I need to get my sister to help sort out our family Christmas for this Sunday. Our mother arrives on Saturday (and then goes off to her in-laws ) and my sister heads to Egypt on Monday. It's such a busy time of year.

mygreatauntgriselda4christmas · 15/12/2008 18:05

I did a mega order from Argos on Friday for everyone - its 10% off and you can choose the delivery date, to ensure you are home to collect the goodies

In the end I got the Fat Toddler an ELC kitchen (plus free saucepans and sausages worth £30) and an ELC very funky garage with cars. That's all the Toddler is getting, although SD1 and DD have each written an extensive list for Santa, complete with Argos page numbers and order codes for Santa's easy reference

kiwibella · 15/12/2008 20:29

off to look at argos . How helpful your dc's were for Santa, Aunt!!

mygreatauntgriselda4christmas · 15/12/2008 22:13

I did tell them that Santa might not get the right things if he didn't have the order code!!

headchefswife · 16/12/2008 19:56

hi ladies, you do know me under another nickname please look at this what do you think?www.mumsnet.com/Talk/employment_issues/667587-dh-handed-in-notice-today-they-made-him-redundant-what ?msgid=13575462

SuperSillyus · 17/12/2008 08:11

headchefswife have posted on your thread even though I have no advice but much sympathy for you situation.

Hasan fell twice and got a thick lip and grazed nose He has taken to calling my boobs 'mine' (oh how am I going to get him off the bf!)

school finishes at 12 for the rest of the week and end of term on friday. I am looking forward to the break from mad mornings trying to get everyone washed, dressed, fed, breakfasted, teethcleaned and out the door in time. (Might help if I didn't come on here in the mornings!)

I started reading Twilight last night(to see what some of my family are so excited about) and I'm loving it. Looking forward to seeing the film.
Also keen to see City of Embers which was made here in Belfast directed by Tom Hanks and has my friends children in it! (very exciting)

OP posts:
mygreatauntgriselda4christmas · 19/12/2008 20:47

Super Ciy of Embers sounds good! LOL at Hasan's possessiveness of your boobs (or rather his boobs! )

Kitty thanks for the card my dear

who is headchef'swife?

ReverseThePolarity · 20/12/2008 22:25

Hello.

Remember me?

Well, I'm back. For now anyhow.

I left because I got fed up of people spoiling for a fight particularly when it came to the baby feeding section, so I'm going to avoid that, and everywhere else (apart maybe from Doctor Who) like the plague.

But I wanted to see how everyone was doing. And besides I've a lot more time on my hands now, at least for the next few weeks - I handed in my notice yesterday after what basically amounted to bullying - dh has actually - FINALLY! - said that we can absorb the cost of me getting a part-time job, if we cut back drastically, and for the first time, he's happy to do so.

So anyway, I'm here... and how is everyone else?

TheBlonde · 21/12/2008 01:33

Good to see you back RTP

kittywise · 21/12/2008 14:28

welcome back rtp

Thanks for our card too auntie

headchiefswife, I am being thick i can't work out who yuou are!!

Super Ron is the same, he is constantly trying to get at my tits, which dp would show the same interest.
How is hassan's lip
Ron has also taken to sneaking up on me and biting the backs of my legs. Guess he must like the howls of pain it illicits
Anyone else got a biting fiend on their hands?

Anyone else feeling a sense of rising panic?

mygreatauntgriselda4christmas · 21/12/2008 17:21

...rising sense of panic at Cristmas Day looming up fast?

The Fat Toddler often bites me too - he has chewed my nips a few times and happily bites any part of me, just for a laugh and because it make me shriek in pain!

Polar its really nice to have you back - well done on getting a consensus to work less hours - it will change your life

Are you going to watch Dr Who on Christmas Day (is the Pope Catholic?)

Dr Who are Wallace & Grommet are both on that day - it feels like all my Christmasses come at once

SuperSillyus · 21/12/2008 18:15

Damm my sister who I'm spending christmas with doesn't have a telly....what am I going to do about Dr Who?????? Argh! what times it on?

Reverssy that is brilliant news, hope you find a lovely part time job where you will be happy and appreciated.

We are all sick here. I have a sore head and I'm counting down to bed time. At the moment everytime one of the children touches me I can feel my energy draining out and my headache increase...oh boy I could do with a break! moan moan moan......

OP posts:
mygreatauntgriselda4christmas · 21/12/2008 18:20

OMG Super, no TV - is she Amish or something???

Can you record Dr Who or take a portable TV with you?

Hope you all get better for Christmas Day

catweazle · 21/12/2008 18:40

RTP great to see you back and fab news on the job front

kitty mine bites all the time. She has just climbed up on my lap and headbutted my face Other favourite trick is to grab handfuls of my face and twist (as I type she's just done it to my nose and it is so painful)

No Dr Who super?
