Wilks - Bow tie has been posted. Don't worry about postage, just send it back whenever. Hope it fits! Well done for standing up to the witch.

Rgee - I WANT SNOW TOO!

PCF - I am a terrible hoarder, I can't bear the thought of throwing something out, then needing it, which always happens! Or, I throw it out, and then forget I have, and search high and low, accusing people of stealing it etc... I have all my A'level art work in a folder at my parents house. I think I will have to face facts that I will never be an artist and it will never sell for £hundreds!

But, in a way its good, as 3 people atm have got various bits of DJ's baby clothes etc! So I am providing a service, sort of.

I posted my cousins family xmas presents out to her in Australia this afternoon. Just basic stocking fillers....came in at over £15!!! WOn't be doing that again! x

vinorouge · 02/12/2008 20:47

Glad you are feeling brighter Wilkie and yay! for standing up to witchy witch. God that you have a nice MW too. Sounds like J is sorted for the play now.

Sylvie went to nursery for 2 hours this morning and loved it, was very happy there apparently and Ellen liked her being there so all bodes well. I didn't ecpect there to be a prob but relief to know that it was ok IYKWIM.

It was so icy here I slipped and slid everywhere walking this morning. I got the bus home from the shops which I never do, as I walked by the stop the bus was there and it was an easy access one so I think it was meant to be!

vinorouge · 02/12/2008 20:48

i think I am a hoarder too. I like to think I'm minimlaist but am not really. Know just what you mean Lizz cos if I am ruthless and throw things out I just get annoyed a few months down the line when I want a certain something.

TinselCoveredWILKIE · 03/12/2008 13:40

Scan went well! LO had grown 2cm and was wriggling around like a thing possessed so feeling happy

Nothing else to report x

laughalot · 03/12/2008 13:50

Love the name !! Any idea of the sex yet .

ladytophamhatt · 03/12/2008 14:26

Excellent about the scan wilkie.

If teh Ad's are ok to take during PG why not ask the gp about going back up to 20mg just for a short while, until you're feeling better and then go make down again.

I feel evangelical about them ATM because itt made such a difference, tell me to shut my gob if yo like

LTH - feel evangelical all you like for me - they have changed my life so I know how you feel! Am having a better week so maybe it was just a blip?

LAL - not finding out sex until 28/01, mum is coming to scan and very excited about it bless her

Lizz - got bow tie thanks mate, will post back when he has finished. Not sure what he is going to be - James Bond? Waiter?

Has anyone else noticed there isn't much NICE wrapping paper about this year? Am struggling to find any I like!

WHERE ARE UD AND 2HAPPY?

eandh · 03/12/2008 19:30

Evening - random busy day here so just catching up

Wilkie - at scan I'm having thoughts that you and PCF are having girls and Reggie a boy!

LTH - gla you are feeling more 'up'

Ummm how crap I cant remember who else posted?

Took the girls to have there photos done today have a club thingy with local photographers) they were such posers prancing around dancing and hugging and doing exactly what they were told (admitedly the photographers book the studio for an hour so if they are a bit shy/tantrumming theres no rushing) they had 68 pictures done and I went back at 4pm to view them (dh home then) I bought 4 and get a free 5th one however I could have picked so many as there was some lovely ones of them dancing/twirling etc etc have put the thumbnails on facebook. Also randomly decided to start sprucing the house up so painted bathroom ceiling/coving yesterday morning and rubbed down woodwork and glossed skirting boards/door today plus scrubbed every tile and cleaned the grouting. I ma saving up to do our bedroom as hate the colour it is (only did it last year but dh picked colour and admits its yuck)

Lizzzombie · 04/12/2008 08:25

Eah - GORGEOUS photos! Can't believe you just decided to paint the bathroom ceiling, just like that! Am in awe!

DJ's godmother is expecting baby number 2 in April (DS1 is nearly 12 months!) They had their 20 wk scan yesterday and the sonographer said she was certain it was a girl as her legs were wide open! Am off to work to scour for pink presents!
Its dark and depressing here, totally pouring outside. Ugh. x

ladytophamhatt · 04/12/2008 09:57

Eandh, how can you just decide to paint the ceiling?
Do you have a stock of paint, sandpoaper etc just laying around?
I'm in awe too....

I daren't tell DH this, he'll be thrusting a paintbrush in my hand 24/7

eandh · 04/12/2008 12:53

LTH - we always have paint, brushes, white spirit, sandpaper etc etc in the shed as my Dad 'acquires' it through work (I am rather impulsive so when I decide to do soemthing I have to do it there and then)

Lizzzombie · 04/12/2008 18:55

OMG My poor baby. We were halfway round Tescos this afternoon when he chundered for Britain! I had a bag with all my resuable bags in hanging off the trolley and he basically puked up tons into that, then he was holding a thomas toy thing in a box which caught alot of it too.
You know when you get that panicky "I DON"T KNOW WHAT TO DO FIRST" feeling?! Well, yeah, I got that big time!
Rushed past the checkout with a half full trolley, grabbed him out of it and ran holding him full stretch still retching into the baby change room. Have no idea what I'd do if I had another kid with me. How do you manage if you have more than 1?
H perked up pretty quick so I paid for the half trolley, hiding the pukey thomas toy at the bottom, and forgetting to get it out and pay for it.
Very traumatic.
He just started retching again about half an hour ago, I hadn'tgiven him tea, milk or anything, and he was spitting out bright luminous bile.
Apparently there is a sick bug going round nursery.

In other news, I got my christmas tree. EAH, I am afraid I beat you in my bargain.
Homebase, artificial Dakota pine 5ft. Was £19.99 half price on web to £9.99
In store its 75% off, plus with the VAT discount I got it for £4.88!!!!!!

I didn't think much of their decorations though, and I need some big ones, as I only have lots of small ones as we normally get a tiny real tree. Now, I will just have to wait for the xmas decorations sales to start and go barmy.

Hope everyone is well and no one else has been ill. x

eandh · 04/12/2008 19:09

Oh Lizz poor little DJ (btw you somehow just bundle the otehr one along when you have more than 1, normally whilst yelling very loudly 'just to do what you are told' and 'dont touch anything'

Bargaintastic tree decs will all be 50-75% off after 27th dec this is a bargain at 75% off but not sure if I like it

Reggiee · 04/12/2008 19:12

So, been very snowy here today. Took two and a half hours to get to work this morning . I could walk there and back and have a cuppa en route in that time! Poor Pip stuck in the back of the car in a huuuge traffic jam she fell asleep again.

So Lizz, you feeling a teensy bit broody

Eah another person in awe here. Bows down again. You a truly a domestic godess
Love the photo of the girls with the noses together.

Wilkie rofl about your comment re 'nice' wrapping paper. I am cheapskate and think it just gets ripped off therefore have never fouond myself hunting around for it

Reggiee · 04/12/2008 19:20

Eugghhhh just seen your post Lizz. Sounds awful. DOn't think I'd know what to do and makes me even more thankful for internet shopping. Hope DJ gets better soon without passing it on.

Dragonhart · 04/12/2008 19:29

Lizz- Poor DJ. Hope it doesnt last long. No idea how you manage with more than one. Anyone...?!

EAH- Love the pics. Planning on getting some done after christmas as have voucher for pixie ones.

Wilkie- Glad all was well at the scan.

No news. No snow Hope everyone else ok.

Reggiee · 04/12/2008 19:35

Christmas is here!!!!!!!!!!!!

vinorouge · 04/12/2008 19:44

The snow was ok by the time I ventured out about 10 and I went on the bus with the p&t for the first time so was very pleased with myself. I was meeting sa friend for lunch for her birthday so really wanted to make the effort even though it was snowy. Went to Pizza express as had 2for1 voucher, shared bottle of wine (yum!). Also had 20% voucher for H&M so got e&s a dress each in there.

I like buying nice paper Wilkie, got some in M&S. I hate paper that rips when I am wrapping.

Lizz - poor DJ, hope he is ok soon.

eandh · 04/12/2008 20:44

Just text UD as havent seen her around for a while and all is fine they just having got internet at new house yet

Vin - sounds like a lovely day

Lizzzombie · 05/12/2008 08:24

Vino & Rgee - I am so I want snow too, not just constant damp and wet!
Eah - That tree is a huge bargain too, but, Half the fun is dressing the tree with all the ornaments you've collected over the years, and home made ones would look very odd next to a colour co ordinated ready dressed one.
We are having hassles with our tree. Not totally sure where it will go.
We have a tiny thru lounge/diner, with massive sofa and chair, etc etc, there is just no room for a tree too. Unless, I move the toybox somewhere for the next few months....but where?! Anyway!

DJ seems much better this morning. Was shouting for his thomas chocolate from the calander and is tucking into toast, so hopefully the worst is past.
I will continue my weekly shop later today and hopefully he won't puke again!

UD must be going nuts with no internet access!

Vino - welldone on getting the bus with the P&T, you will be added to my repetoire & sales patter at work. "They are easy to take on the bus etc.." Had a woman the other day with 3 yo, 18 mo & was pg too. She had a double maclaren (too wide for her), a single maclaren and a single Jane. She was about to buy a mothercare double Pheonix, (won't link as is rubbish) & I had to stop her and shake her & convince her to sell the maclaren double and the Jane and buy a P&T. She probably had more buggies than EAH!

Rgee - Over two hours in the car is mad! Sensible question, but do you have an emergency pack with blanket, kendal mint cake or whatever else you may need in the car, just in case?! How far were you actually driving?
Right, best get one.
Do all post your snowy pictures and make me jealous! x

Lizz - DH drives across the M62 to work everyday so I packed him off at 6.45 yest morn with flask of coffee, box of biscuits, walking boots, socks, big gloves, fleece and blanket plus usual car emergency kit. He was laughing at me but did admit he would have been glad had the worst happened. I like to be prepared and nothing worse than being cold is there. Also, snap - we have an assortment of tree decoarations, I usually buy 1 or 2 every year but bought a lot last year so I am making do with 1 friend got me this year. Only exception might be one that says 'Sylvie' cos we have one that says Ellen. Better be fair hadn't I? Not sure where ours is gonna go either.

Pottering at home this morning then going for coffee with neighbour this afternoon. A friend has an interview for a pgce course today so am keeping fingers crossed for her.

Think I can hear Sylvie.....

TinselCoveredWILKIE · 05/12/2008 17:21

Vino - PMSL at you sending DH off with his 'emergency' parcel. My mum made my dad take a duvet in his van with him (he is a delivery driver) just in case. Bless you Can you organise one for tomorrow when I pick you up?!

PCF - I can't wait to feel LO move properly. Keep getting fluttery sensations but no thuds yet

Lizz - poor DJ. We have had two bouts of sickness bug but thankfully not when we are out and about. I wouldn't have known what the hell to do either although I have to ask - will you be reusing your eco bags?? Bleurgh! Hee hee

Reggiee - am disappointed in you! Your wrappng paper has to co-ordinate and look nice. I managed to buy some at Dunelm today - I only went for paper and ended up spending £49.22. Fark!! , looking forward to seeing you tomoz. I hope you are preparing your yummy roast dinner for us all??

DH and J are playing bowling on the Wii which is hilarious to watch. J is loving it and just got a strike. Ha ha

Please can you all enter into the crimble spirit and amend your names accordingly. Am feeling a bit of a tit on my own covered in tinsel!!!

TinselCoveredWILKIE · 05/12/2008 17:23

Oh and great thing about being pg with a LO around. Was retching in the bathroom this morning and yelled at J to 'Grab mummy's biscuits' (keep them in the bedroom for MS emergencies) and he legged it and brought them to me. Ha ha - can't wait till baby is here:

Me: 'J just change xx's nappy please'
Me: 'J, just warm a bottle for me'
Me: 'J would you mind doing the night feed?'

Ok....maybe not
