I thought the sex of UD's bubba was common knowledge ??

Oh probably. Either got confussled with all the babies on this thread or it was while I was off line for a while! Sorry

Wilkiepedia · 29/12/2008 15:31

Have you got over your Christmas fiasco yet?

OP posts:
2Happy · 29/12/2008 16:03

Everyone asked at work today "did you have a good Christmas?" - what can you say?! No, and look like a total Scrooge, or yes, and sound totally unconvincing!! Hey ho. The dses seem a little calmer today, though, getting back to reality. ds1 actually asked if I could take the tree down becuase he was bored of it

eandh · 29/12/2008 16:25

I took my decorations/cards etc down on Saturday, everything was in the loft by Saturday night and tbh its lovely to have the house back to normal

Wilkiepedia · 29/12/2008 16:36

Hah - at least they asked. Witchy witch didn't ask me if I had a nice Crimbo - I was nice and asked her. Witch.

Ooh, taking down tree & decorations sounds like a very good idea. Its blocking the radiator and I am fed up of it being cold in the living room because of it. Thats it, its coming down as soon as DJ is in bed.
DP is soooooo ill. He hasn't kept anything down all day now. I am hoping its only a 24 hours thing. I am terrified of DJ getting this. He seems ok for now, but the violence with which DP has been ill is quite astonishing.
Wilkie, when are you off on mat leave?! Witchy witch is just jealous of your perfect life!
2Happy - Your CM sounds lovely, thats such a good idea for a present I am going to nick it for future use!

2Happy · 29/12/2008 18:37

Passing mega get well soon vives to dp, Lizz. Hope you and lo stay clear.

Wilkie - should've asked her if she got a broomstick for Christmas!

eandh - we had to take cards/paperchains down to clear up the mess from the chimney fire, the tree is all that's left

Hope you all had a lovely christmas!

UD - Shocking present! I read your thread earlier. What a nutter.

Eah - I lolled when I read your post. I felt fed-up with the tree yesterday and I thought I bet you had taken yours down.

Ll - How do you pronounce alyissa?

Hello everyone else.

laughalot · 30/12/2008 11:51

Alissa

laughalot · 30/12/2008 11:53

Also my friends little girl is called libby and my other firend her dd is called talia.

2Happy · 30/12/2008 17:44

Brrrr! "Possibly a touch of ground frost" they said on the radio. "Clear spells, 0degC" they said in the paper. Fecking -6!!! this morning, and never got above -1 all day even with the sun out. And I'm too scared to light the fire

Lal, there's some great names in there.

Hellooooo Guadalupe, how's things? Did you have a good Christmas?

eandh · 30/12/2008 17:54

brrr its been so cold here I gave in and put heating on at 1pm, Hattie crashed out on the bathroom floor at 5.25pm after her bath as no nap today plus I took both of them for a walk to tesco (very hilly walk!) they both took their new prams and babies but hattie gave up walking 3/4 way back so went in Ellies doll pram and she pushed her home

Made 2 huge shepherds pie for dinners with the aim to freeze one but the girls ate all of theirs and 1/2 of the one I made for me and dh so the walk obviously made them hungry

Guadalupe · 30/12/2008 20:24

Ah, alissa. I know an alissa but she spells it Elissa though it sounds the same.

Nice name anyway.

Very nice thanks, 2happy, quiet but nice. We have no plans for tomorrow. I refuse to watch Jools Hootenanay wotsit. Maybe a video, bottle of fizz with dh. I never liked new year much when I was young free and single anyway. All those loud people on the streets.

Reggiee · 30/12/2008 20:55

Hi all. Busy couple of days here. Just managed to push the last of my family out of the door...6 adults and 4 kids ...lovely to see all but so nice to get my house back. Bedding in the wash ready for tomorrow's visitors.

So, NYE tomorrow, and my little girl will be 2!!! How did that happen? Got me her a Colin Caterpillar cake ready. No present from us though except the ones leftover from Xmas. Am sure she won't mind....

I would take down the xmas tree this eve ready for tomorrow to be birthday, but i don't have the energy.

Thanks for all the boy tips and names btw. Noticed that the bounty website had top 100 2008 names on now.

eandh · 31/12/2008 06:13

Happy Birthday Pip, hope you all have a wonderful day!

Well after falling asleep at 5.20pm Hattie woke at 6am which is later that I imagined shes watching berenstein bears and we're having a cup of tea and a cookie each

Can't decide whether to cook tonight (if so will go and get some steak and jumbo prawns etc) or just get a takeaway???? We were having friends round but I've got a sore throat and feel achy and dh got to be up at 4.45 for work tomorrow so if we had them round they'd need to leave about 10.30 and it seemed pointless

Lizzzombie · 31/12/2008 09:21

Rgee - congratulations on being a Mum for 2 years!
Eah - LOL at the thought of H sitting in E's pram. DJ often sits in his buggy. He's going to get stuck in it one day I am sure.
2Happy - -6 OMG!!! I thought we had it bad at 1 or 2 all day, but -6??? Thats like frost bite type of weather! Hope its a bit warmer today.

DJ was up from about 2.30 - 6am this morning, I have no idea how I will manage to stay up till midnight tonight! I'd rather DP just go out so I can have a nice peaceful night in!

x

eandh · 31/12/2008 09:28

I'll be in bed by 10pm tonight I can't remember the alst time I saw new year in (although I tried 5 years ago but was so tired and didnt understand why, 5 days later I did pg test and found out I was expecting Ellie )

laughalot · 31/12/2008 09:44

So have we all survived 2008 ? .

Happy birthday to p !!! 2 very scary where have our babies gone and then some of you nutters are having more.

New year for us will be quiet takeaway and a dvd at the best. Its always crap new year for us as my fil died on new years eve it is coming up to 11 years this year he was 40 when he died . He has missed so much 5 grandchildren 4 boys and 1 girl very sad. And he never saw either of his sons get married.

My baby starts school on monday that is one scary thought.

Have a fab new year and health and happiness for 2009 oooh and a big lottery win would be nice.

theSuburbanDryad · 31/12/2008 16:08

Hi everyone - just popping in to say Happy New Year to us all, hope you all have a lovely time, whatever you're doing! We might pop over to a friend's house for a bit, but I think Z is too little to stay up till midnight so we probably won't stay all night! He has had a very late nap today though, I'm going to leave him till half 4 then get him up I think, as I don't want his sleep all fucked up.

MIL is doing my head right in. At this rate she'll get those Boots Basics bottles rammed up her arse.

Lizzzombie · 31/12/2008 16:21

UD - I didn't realise it was Boots Basics bottles she had brought. Not to be a snob about it, but that is seriously 'making a point' about it. What a nasty lady.

Hope everyone has a good night tonight, and all the best for 2009. I had a GORGEOUS bubble bath whilst DJ was napping, and a pint of berocca, so feel much better now! x

theSuburbanDryad · 31/12/2008 16:25

Yes, especially since Z has a (very minor) latex allergy and she knows I would never use latex teats on a bottle!

eandh · 31/12/2008 17:05

at your MIL UD!

Lizz - at your bubble bath, although am hoping once kids are in bed and takeaway ordered I'm going to have a soak and use all my lovely Sancutary products Laughalot sent me for Xmas

Both the girls are seriously tetchy today, too many late/disturbed nights and early mornings I feel as if I have shouted my way through the day, thank God DH came hom at 3pm and I escaped to PO for a bit!!

Anyway in case I am not on here later (probably will be as bet dh falls asleep) happy 2009 hope it brings peace, harmony and love to you all
