HAPPY BIRTHDAY EDDAS for yesterday

Hope you had a lovely day

Oooggs, hope you had a better night xx

POTC, how is J?

Hi everyone else!!

Not much to report. K has had a dodgy tummy, and dh has taken ill, and MY GOD - men are pathetic when they re ill!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not sure if K's tum is teeth tho, as she is still eating as per norm. No V, just looser poo - sorry for tmi at breakfast

liath · 25/11/2008 08:16

Morning all.

Oh dear, SOL - is it man-flu? Are you getting a minute by minute update on all his latest symptoms? Have you ever seen this? uk.youtube.com/watch?v=6EElqrgk4N0

Luce - good luck with the move down to Bandit Country

Oooggs - hope last night was better.

I'm not too strict on making ds eat things but he's such a gannet it's not been a problem. Dd is getting a bit fussy but I'm sure that just comes with the threenager territory.

Have aha d a few bad nights recently but they both decided to sleep in today so that was very welcome. Am off to the shops to try and buy some crafty sort of stuff for xmas pictures, decorations etc. To say dd is excited about Christmas would be an understatement !!

Doobydoo · 25/11/2008 12:09

Morning.Quick post.Hope all are ok.OOOGGS,hope you ok.
Happy Bday for yesterday Eddas
Knackered M up at 4 being sick.
try to catch up later.

Sexonlegs · 25/11/2008 12:55

Liath, not man flu this time - dodgy tum.

Dooby, oh no, poor M and you.

Seems to be doing the rounds.

2 people off work with sick bug - ewwwww.

Keep washing my hands and trying not to touch doors - I am terrified!

AngeG · 25/11/2008 13:17

Hello everyone

Sorry people are suffering with bad nights/poorly children DH etc.

Pretty much the same here. J was sent home from school yesterday after being sick in the playground (TBH I think he coughed himself sick after running around in the cold air)He looked bright as a button when I picked him up. Of course because he had been sick he couldn't go back to school today...just as well as he was up between 4-6am crying as his ear was hurting, (gunk started coming out this morning) it turns out he has another ear infection, poor little chap

Izzy also has the dreaded cough/cold thing but seems ok in herself. Can't remember if I said but she's got infected eczema behind both ears, it looks really red, sore and crusty and it's sticking to her hair and making it pretty much impossible to brush

Sorry for no personals, been thinking and sympathising of you all as I caught up.

Ohh I seeeee (only just got thread title!)

Sorry to all whose babies are poorly.

geordieminx · 25/11/2008 16:12

Just had to say bye byes to Luce family {{sob}}}} {{{{sob}}}}}

So I went shopping to cheer us up.

bargin alert - Woolies have 3 for 2 on most of their xmaas stuff at the moment, plus this week they have an extra 20% off... thus 3 things at £10 each - £20 with 3 for 2, then 20% off = £16 so almost half price!!

CaptainDippy · 25/11/2008 16:51

Hello ladies!! Zooming by quiockly as DH has been off today so we've been spending some time together - novelty!! Catching up on some work now while he does the Dysoning

StealthPolarBear · 25/11/2008 17:31

hi everyone
T has been hitting and pushing children at nursery

Doobydoo · 25/11/2008 17:46

Oh SPB...Any idea why?
What are they doing to him?
Is he frustrated because he can't speak do you think?
What has nursery said?

StealthPolarBear · 25/11/2008 17:49

yeah i'm hoping it's frustratoin
Don't think the others are doing anything!
Nursery do time out and don't give him loads of attention for it
He has got much 'naughtier' (for want of a better word) recently - both grandmas have noticed
I also maybe mentally scarred him for life this morning giraffe in washing machine led to major tantrum!

Doobydoo · 25/11/2008 17:51

I think it is purely frustration. He prob has lots he wants to say and do!It will get better.
Off now M screeching,he head bangs and hits when he cross.

Doobydoo · 25/11/2008 18:15

Qicky while he watching Bear in Big Blue.
I emember being mortified when ds1[at approx 2 and a half]pushed someone backwards off little slide at mum and todds group...we went home.He wasn't really a hitter etc but M bites, headbutts and screeches. He hasn't been with other kids much yet and I do view it rather anxiously. But as I said before they can get v.frustrated re being unable to communicate etc...i really hope you don't worry too muchHe will grow out of it.
M has a clean flatty and viewed suspiciously
Parenting is a blimmin rollercoaster.

Eddas · 25/11/2008 18:26

spb, i think they all do this sort of thing at some point. it's just another phase. Albeit a hard one as a parent. I hope you're ok. It's mortifiying as a parent to be told your dc has done anything nasty but at this age it's not really the childs fault. they're just exploring and working out how things work.

Is the giraffe a special one?

cazboldy · 25/11/2008 18:47

Happy belated birthday Eddas hope you had a good one!

Luce - wishing you loads of luck with the move xx

Oooggs - Sounds like you are having a bit of a rough time.... take care of yourself xx

SOL - How is your Mum doing?

Can I add to more to the list of poorly babies... Molly has croup, and Charlie is full of cold with a temp.... am off to bed with them in a min, to try and get a couple of hours before they get bad.... Hope fully that will be a couple of hours more than I had last night

StealthPolarBear · 25/11/2008 19:21

Thanks eddas and happy birthday for yesterday I didn't mention earlier
Your poor DCs caz - hope you get some sleep.
I'm not overly worried at the moment, just hope it doesn't continue. DH has been teaching him signs in the last few days, he's picking them up really quickly now he's older, hopefully he'll feel as though he can communicate more and it will pass.
Yes it was a very special giraffe! It seems to be his favourite and the one he puts to bed / changes nappy of / kisses and cuddles. It's almost as big as him! Anyway, he has been spun and is on the radiator

Sexonlegs · 25/11/2008 19:24

Evening all.

So many poorly babies atm. Hate this time of year.

SPB, I echo what others have said. They are starting to assert themselves a bit, and get frustrated when they can't communicate. B was a nightmare at 2ish. Am so hoping K doesn't follow suit. I found it so stressful, but this time around I am just going to get through it.

Luce, best of luck with the move!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dooby, how is M?

Caz, poor M. Do you have a humidifier? B gets croup and it the best thing we ever purchased.
Thanks for asking after my Mum. She is doing ok, but slow progress. I think she has just ben wiped out by the whole experience. She did however call on Sunday, and ask if we wanted to call in for a cup of tea next weekend Can't wait to see her.

All ok here. Went out last night with some mum's from B's school and we had a great time. Got home, and dh was feeling sick, so I slept on the sofa and am knackered today. Barely slept. Going to watch Holy and head bed-wards me thinks!

Sexonlegs · 25/11/2008 19:25

Dreadful typing - I blame the keyboard on the laptop!!!

StealthPolarBear · 25/11/2008 19:27

Why was your DH feeling sick? Is he OK?
Glad your mum is making progress, if slow.
Thanks for reassurance about T. He also generally had a bad day - slept and ate little and is grumpy, I'm hoping it's all related and so it can be managed easily.

oooggs · 25/11/2008 19:32

happy birthday for yesterday eddas

Luce thining of you with your move and goodbyes

katy - when our washing machine last broke 'Joe Mouse' was inside - James was mortified

gm - fab shopping deals

caz - yes I'm off in a minute too before the night of hell starts and I have work tomorrow and dts will stay with dh (who is on backs) as not well enough for nursery

today has been hell, two poorly babies both wanting mummy, both asleep on my knee, it has been a nightmare, I haven't had then ill at the same time before and it is really hard. They have slept loads today.

I went to a friends this afternoon for support & heating as the builders were making lots of noise and had all the doors/windows open. I was sat on her sofa with a sleeping babe on each arm and James playing at my feet. She made us tea and we came home at 6pm just in time for medised, milk & bed.

StealthPolarBear · 25/11/2008 19:34

oh no oooggs
That said I'm impressed this is the first time both hvae been ill together - you must be superwoman with the bleachy cloth! Hopefully it will be the last time.
