Sending prayers, thoughts and love to poor little M and to Caz and her whole family. I remember when DD1 was in hospital with Pneumonia, it was so hard Really hope she'll be able to go home to her family soon. xxxx

to all those with poorly children and horrid night's sleeps. My guys are snotty, but nothing worse than that so far.

RudolphtherEDDASnosedreindeer · 02/12/2008 14:48

I haven't been on our thread for a while

I just wanted to add my thoughts are with Molly, Caz and family. I hope she is better soon, poor little thing.

SOL, sorry to hear your mum has had yet another set back sincerely hope she is much betetr soon too
I'm in I think bil and sil are having a baby they have 2 other children aged 9 and 10. If they are I think they're a bit nuts but am really pleased for them. SIL always used to say she'd have another when her boys were older. But I am a bit as to whether it is true as I'm only going by BIL's facebook status update, and they came here on sat but didn't mention a thing seems odd that he wouldn't tell dh before announcing it on fb? Dh's family can be a little odd though

CaptainDippy · 02/12/2008 14:57

Exciting Eddas Good to "see" you !

I'm off to BF to help her out with house and children now she is home after her op ...

RudolphtherEDDASnosedreindeer · 02/12/2008 16:05

well, apparently it was a joke between bil/sil if you're female and have a stomach ache you are pg. Bet she's chuffed at everyone thinking she's pg or could it be that she is pg but not far along and is annoyed at being outed with her other 2 she was very late telling everyone, for reasons I won't explain, but good reasons, so I doubt she'd spill for a good while. Maybe i'm being too suspicious

StealthPolarBear · 02/12/2008 20:50

Hi everyone

oooggs · 02/12/2008 21:17

having a shit time at night dh and I exhausted - has resulted in Erin in her own room, Jack in James' room in the travel cot and James at the foot of our bed on his mattress, yet he sneaks in about 4am

I have insominia from 3am till about 5am, dizziness overwealming and those silly false contractions aren't helping (haven't had them before)

sorry to complain especially when others have it worse

ellie - hope your sleeping improves

caz - thinking of Molly

sol - hope your mum picks up soon

forgotten anything else

geordieminx · 02/12/2008 22:16

something to cheer you all up a bit

liath · 02/12/2008 23:13

PMSL

elkiedee · 02/12/2008 23:39

Worrying news about Molly, POTC, please let Caz know I'm thinking of her and hoping things improve soon.

I'm very annoyed with Facebook as it won't let me follow up the things I learn by leaving messages for people at the moment. But I see from a conversation with Ange today on my login page (all that FB will allow me to see!) that another of our April babies is expecting a sibling!

seXMASonlegs · 03/12/2008 10:17

Morning.

Oooggs, sorry you are having such an awful time of it. xx

Elkie, I saw that news too on FB

Absolutely knackered today. Picked up B from school yesterday and she was shivering and had a temp. Dosed her up and she is fine, but have kept her off school as the temp comes back once the drugs wear off.

K was awake coughing again last night at 1 and 3, so was up with her.

Dh either doesn't hear or pretends not to. Feel hacked off and resentful about being a woman and the fact that naff all changes for men and us women just have to do EVERYTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rant over.

How are you all?

AngeGabriel · 03/12/2008 10:55

Hello All

We're all pretty much better in this house now J back to school today. I had a lovely day Christmas shopping with my Mum yesterday. Left DH with both children from 9am until 7pm I missed them but it was lovely to have some time away

Any news on M? Sending prayers from her.

Oooggs - Sorry you're having a bad time. Hope it getsb better for you soon. xx

Eddas - I think I would still be a bit suspicious as well!

SOL - rant away I totally agree with you. When J was being sick DH didn't hear him at all even though he was crying for Daddy

Elkie and SOL are right Nutty is pg again, she's due on 6th August and is suffering with morning sickness!

Off to tidy the house.

CaptainDippy · 03/12/2008 11:24

Good for you Ange

Hope B is better asap SOL!

hope you can get some good rest soon sweetie. xx

All a bit manic atm, lots to dooooooo

StealthPolarBear · 03/12/2008 11:42

Fantastic! (That she's pg, not the sickness)

CaptainDippy · 03/12/2008 11:53

Hey SPB!

I'm off to collect DD1 from school now and then my dad is coming down for the pm - madness!! "See" you ladies later ....

RudolphtherEDDASnosedreindeer · 03/12/2008 15:02

oooggs {{{{hugs}}}}

Nutty sad on her fb status the other day that she's pg hope she'd doing better now.

I went to see MIL today and am now more convinced bil/sil are having a baby. She sadi she wouldn't be suprised. she didn't know either way, but agreed it was a bit suss. Step-fil apparently thought she was pg a few weeks ago too! Who knows! Oh and dh came home from work having called bil(his brother) and said he wasn't sure if he was telling the truth. Yes I am impatient, I hate not knowing the buggers!

RudolphtherEDDASnosedreindeer · 03/12/2008 15:09

oh meant to say, SOL totally agree with the nothing changes for men. Dh is fab, but doesn't seem to understand things like we don't have days off anymore, money is tighter since we moved because income is the same and outgoings are more, we do not have money to lend to anyone and many more!!

ange, glad your all feeling better of your day out.

I'm excited as on friday, when i'm normally working, I have half a day off it's our work christmas do but they're all off to London I won't bore you with details but it's pointless and I can't be bothered to sort the arrangements for me going so i've said I can't go, but I am allowed to take a half day as everyone's leaving at 1pm that day I cannot wait to come home and slob whilst dc are at nursery

Bramshott · 03/12/2008 15:22

Ooh Eddas - you can have your own Christmas do. Just you, and a glass of mulled wine and the sofa and no-one else in the house - bliss! I know what you mean about Christmas dos - I am somewhat relieved that spouses are not invited to DH's this year as a cost-cutting measure .

I'm out with my NCT group from N tonight. Will be nice when I get there, and I have made a resolution to go out more, but at the moment the effort of getting ready and going just seems like too much.

Oooggs - moan away. I think most of us are in awe of you and what you manage to do, so none of this "I know I shouldn't moan", you SHOULD moan after a night like that, and that's what we're here for.

Still thinking of Caz and M, and hoping she's doing okay.

seXMASonlegs · 03/12/2008 19:38

Quick one

Has anyone found any cough mixture that works for dc????

K is coughing already and after 2 nights of broken sleep I HAVE HAD ENOUGH!!!!!!

AngeGabriel · 03/12/2008 19:52

SOL - Dr recommended tixylix dry cough for Jake and said to use it for all types of cough. I have to say it did work really well for him.(Although it says it should be used for over twos only) All cough mixtures changed to over 2s a while ago.(The dose for under twos was 2.5ml 2/3 times in 24 hours - I have an old bottle)

seXMASonlegs · 03/12/2008 20:35

Thanks Ange. I have some Tixylix night time cough which I used last night; am sure I have some other stuff as well - like a branch of Boots this house x

AngeGabriel · 03/12/2008 20:44

SOL sounds like our house. I was using th night time one but Dr said this one was better! Hope tonight is better for you. x

seXMASonlegs · 03/12/2008 21:55

Balls; don't have that one having looked. Can't be arsed to go to a late night pharmacy now...

Here's hoping tonight is better. I think the trouble is, I am so lucky to have so few broken nights, that I am just not used to them when they do happen

Glad all is better in your house.

Quick catch up before bed.

Eddas, lovely to see you - stranger!

POTC, any more news on Caz and M?

Right, really need to go to bed, so see you lovelies in the morning. xx

OnceAPillockNowAnAngel · 04/12/2008 08:23

Text from CAZ
04:28 this morning (guess that means she's still getting no sleep)
"Thanks E. It means a lot to know you all care. She is doing well, and the doc said we could go home tomorrow if she could go all night with no oxygen, but she just had a bit of a dip and they turned it back on "

StealthPolarBear · 04/12/2008 09:53

Oh no. Thanks for keeping us updated Pillock but poor little M Really hope she's OK, must be so worried

runnyhabbit · 04/12/2008 12:14

I totally sympathise with coughing dc. W has been coughing so hard, he's nearly been sick But bizarrley, he's right as rain during the day - it's just night time which are a pita. Last night he woke everyone up, so have taken today as flexi. Sent him off to nursery though In my defence, if he'd been coughing this morning, he wouldn't have gone, but he's as right as rain
