Oh, talking of freebies, register with Close Baby and you can get a free pop-in one size nappy

NattyTurkeyAndEggnog · 05/12/2008 16:34

thanks daisy.
ellen can put trousers, tops, zippy jumpers not pull overs, socks, shoes, hats and no finger gloves (mitten type things iuswim)
super baby!!!

its nice to have a baby to boast about after tom, who did everything a 6-12 months after his peers

TheTwelveDAISYOfChristmas · 05/12/2008 16:39

that's impressive natty.

DS is 6.5 and still can't dress himself it would seem

right off to the docs, but hopefully I don't need ABs as it isn't as sore now and the redness looks less livid to me (although DH disagrees) and thinks it looks worse.

NattyTurkeyAndEggnog · 05/12/2008 17:09

good luck daisy keep us posted x

NattyTurkeyAndEggnog · 05/12/2008 19:50

im going bed early girls if no one is about to keep me company.. u got till end of corrie lol

Sputnik · 05/12/2008 20:32

I am highly impressed Natty, my DD is 4 and crap at dressing herself, mostly because I get really impatient waiting round for her and end up helping her.

Baby Sputnik can say mummy and cat.
He is really good at closing doors though, he shuts the doors of the fridge and microwave for me, then looks really proud at having done something to help

HaveYourselfAJammyLittleXmas · 05/12/2008 20:35

That's cute Sputnik

Jamlet likes to help me load the dishwasher - by putting her clean bowls onto the open door, usually just after something has split out of something dirty I am loading in, so her clean bowls become all dirty in the process

NattyTurkeyAndEggnog · 05/12/2008 20:57

lol aw jammy ellen does that to me lol!!

to be fair even though ellen CAN do it, she often decides she dont wanna.. and then theres the days im not allowed to get her dressed only SHE can do it.. very frustrating, cos i dunno which its gonna be from one day to the next!

TheTwelveDAISYOfChristmas · 05/12/2008 21:31

DD loves helping round the house. she is good with the dishwasher and taking nappies to the bin and sweeping the kitchen floor.

she also makes sure things are put back where they belong. I think DH has been training her to shame me into being more houseproud

Boob is looking better....yay and isn't as painful. I have a seven day course of ABs but will wait till tomorrow and see how things are as I'd rather avoid them if possible.

I was examining my poorly boob earlier and DD climbed up on the sofa beside me, puckered up and homed in on my nipple saying "Mmmmmm". I managed to get out of her way before she bit me latched on, but she has become increasingly curious about Bfing and whenever I'm feeding DS she stands there saying her name (ie I want some too mummy). not sure whether to give her a go or not, but I fear for her teeth as she will have forgotten what to do no doubt!

right, time to get my poor boob out for another assault on it.

Night all

NattyTurkeyAndEggnog · 05/12/2008 21:39

lol she sounds so funny daisy, i can see ellen being like that, she gets funny if i even hold another baby!

WewishyouaBUMPERLICIOUS · 06/12/2008 07:52

Morning all. DD doesn't dress herself though she has always been good at getting her arms through the arm holes. She can now near enough remove her fleecy all in one suit though

What are you guys up to this weekend? Nothing exciting here. We might make Christmas cards tomorrow.

HaveYourselfAJammyLittleXmas · 06/12/2008 07:59

Morning Bumper. We're going to the Swindon shopping village this afternoon to meet my Mum & Sis who are on an organised trip there.

Jamlet can start pulling a top over her head, but it often gets stuck half way. And she is also good at getting arms in the arm holes. She tries to put her socks and shoes on but not very successful.

WewishyouaBUMPERLICIOUS · 06/12/2008 08:18

I don't mind still dressing DD. What I do mind resent is having to keep farking dressing and undressing her dolly. If you want it to have clothes on stop trying to take them off!!!!! And when it's in a state of half undress I don't know if she wants the clothes on or off! Argghhhh!

Enjoy Swindon jammy

I am unpicking the velcro from the tots nappies so I can use nappy nippas, then housey stuff this afternoon, and a quiet night (as usual). Tomorrow I'm taking DD and DS2 shopping with a friend and then we are back here for Sunday roast with DH and friends DH.

Getting on with my SS pressie later as well, as I'm sadly behind. Luckily it's fairly simple to do, so shouldn;t take long once I get going.

argh screamy DS2.......back later

and managed to clear the mastitis with feeding so I don';t need to take the ABs

could be down to new bras (although they are the same size as my existing royce bra they feel a bit smaller in the cup) or I have been holding my boob so maybe squeezing in the one place. I also sleep on my front with my arm tucked under me which may be putting a bit of pressure on that boob, so I'm trying to sleep on my back.

Feels good to have done it without the ABs though! I thought once infection was there the ABs were a done deal.

Once the thrush has gone we should be cooking on all rings!

DH gave him some EBM last night, and although it was only a couple of ozs, it meant that I got to sleep from 10.30 till 3.30....feel like a new woman today . Bumba was less than impressed with the teat on the bottle though . DH said he had to squeeze the teat to get the milk in his mouth as he refused to suck on it and was getting in a right old state!...any one else would have got a spoon or syringe, but DH had to make life difficult for himself

now i have no where to move to and i got to be out by xmas

TheTwelveDAISYOfChristmas · 06/12/2008 15:46

natty. you found that one quickly, so hopefully something else will come up. Can you stay with parents if it comes to it?

WewishyouaBUMPERLICIOUS · 06/12/2008 17:20

Oh natty that's really shit, I'm sorry. You will find something else though.

WewishyouaBUMPERLICIOUS · 06/12/2008 17:22

I god, this sounds sound ridiculous but DD has just discovered grinding her teeth and I have a complete vicereal reaction to it. I want to vomit, or eat the inside of my cheeks. What can I do?!

HaveYourselfAJammyLittleXmas · 06/12/2008 17:24

Sorry Bumper, no advice. But I bet if you show a reaction she'll do it all the more?

Natty - sorry about your house Hope you find something else quickly.

Had a great afternoon out with my mum & sis. But am exhausted. Had 2 x 45 mins in the play area walking round and round with Jamlet to keep her entertained.

HaveYourselfAJammyLittleXmas · 06/12/2008 17:59

My wrist really hurts. It is very painful to lift Jamlet up, feels like something's gonna snap It's been a little sore for a couple of days but got really bad when I had to lift her out of a play tunnel that she got stuck in this afternoon. She had such fun though in the play area though And was so into it she even forgot about her need to hold both my hands while walking and went quite a long way holding just one hand before she realised!
