Mmmmm, I have got an opmelette sandwich and some potato wedges for my tea. Yummmmmm. Not very healthy though But it is making me feel better

TheTwelveDAISYOfChristmas · 06/12/2008 21:09

Go jamlet . She'll be off before you know it Jammy.

What's up with your wrist? Is it an arthriticy type pain or carpal tunnel or something?

DS1 got a reply from Downing Street today. Not from the PM, just one of his aides saying thanks for the invite but the PM wouldn't be able to come to tea due to his busy schedule and he was sorry he couldn't write personally but due to the thousands of letters he receives each week etc etc. We think he missed a golden opportunity personally......and he was in Leeds doing a cabinet meeting roadshow last week as well! They sent him a Downing Street activity pack, so DS is made up with that and has been drawing pictures of the prime minister all afternoon!

Not sure what's up with my wrist, but it's blinkin' sore when I twist it a certain way. Real sharp pain. On the outer edge, the side that has the little finger on.

HaveYourselfAJammyLittleXmas · 06/12/2008 21:20

Loving the thought of DS1 drawing pics of Gordon

HaveYourselfAJammyLittleXmas · 07/12/2008 07:50

It was my turn for vomiting in the night, and again this morning. And DH is away. I might have to ask a friend if she can take Jamlet for the morning as I feel pretty ropey..

WewishyouaBUMPERLICIOUS · 07/12/2008 08:53

Oh jammy that's really shit, did you manage to find someone to look after DD?

TheTwelveDAISYOfChristmas · 07/12/2008 10:08

jammy. Nothing worse than looking after kids when you are ill yourself. Hopefully your friend can watch her for a bit and let you get some sleep.

Can you wrap up in a duvet on the sofa together and watch a video or Cbeebies?

NattyTurkeyAndEggnog · 07/12/2008 10:34

NattyTurkeyAndEggnog · 07/12/2008 10:36

HaveYourselfAJammyLittleXmas · 07/12/2008 12:39

Sorry you're not having any luck with house Natty. Fingers crossed that something come up for you.

I got hold of DH and asked him to come home early, then texted my friend to ask her if she could have DD in the meantime. But by the time she got back to me DD and I were both asleep, so it worked out OK in the end as we both slept until DH got home.

NattyTurkeyAndEggnog · 07/12/2008 12:42

aw thats great jammy, you get some rest now. xx

Sputnik · 07/12/2008 17:11

Bugger about the house Natty, hope tomorrow's is better.
I've got 2 sick children here, proper crashed-on-the-sofa sick. Baby Sputnik has been unwell all week, and started having coughing fits at night, but last night was really bad, so cue emergency call to paed and DH trawling for a sunday farmacy, he's asleep now, otherwise he just wants cuddling. And DD has a fever, so I assume she's getting whatever it is. Sigh.

LOL about your DS and Gordon. Just wondering what would happen if my DD wrote to our wonderful Berlusconi. It would have to be something along the lines of "Dear Prime Minister, why do you want to shut my school down?"

NattyTurkeyAndEggnog · 07/12/2008 17:28

aw daisy i'd missed that post, that is so cute!
i should write to him and tell him his new housing benefit system has made me homeless!

FrazzledFairyFay · 07/12/2008 19:24

Natty, I'm really sorry to hear that. It sucks.

Jammy, I hope you feel better soon

HaveYourselfAJammyLittleXmas · 07/12/2008 20:02

Hi Fairy. Sorry was busy with my SS project!

FrazzledFairyFay · 07/12/2008 20:06

Are you feeling any better?

I admit to not having started SS yet, have been very hectic. But have come up with something that will actually benefit from being left a bit longer - at least that's what I'm telling myself

HaveYourselfAJammyLittleXmas · 07/12/2008 20:11

A bit thanks. Haven't thrown up since 7am, but feel pretty washed out. I just had a little bagel as a test to see how my system would cope and it seems OK. I think I must have had the bug Jamlet had in the week. She bounced back after a couple of days rest, so hope I will do too. Only trouble is I should go to work tomorrow.

HaveYourselfAJammyLittleXmas · 07/12/2008 20:12

And your SS plan sounds interesting!

Which reminds me I must wrap the gift for the work SS and take it into the office tomorrow. And the gift for Jamlet to get from Santa at nursery.

NattyTurkeyAndEggnog · 07/12/2008 20:13

aw jammy, glad ur not being sick. hope you feel better tomorrow, not so washed out.

my god its quiet in here today

FrazzledFairyFay · 07/12/2008 20:13

That does sound miserable. Why don't you wait and see how you feel in the morning. I wouldn't go if you vomit again between now and then.

FrazzledFairyFay · 07/12/2008 20:14

I'm afraid it really isn't that interesting.

NattyTurkeyAndEggnog · 07/12/2008 20:16

ah fairy thats like me, ive been bogged down in the moving stuff, was going to sort it this weekend but now imgoing to end up buying something crap cos i have no time

FrazzledFairyFay · 07/12/2008 20:17

You have a very good excuse Natty, I'm sure your recipient won't mind
