aww daisy

hope it clears up for you x

Ohforfoxsake · 01/12/2008 13:51

ouch Daisy. Its horrible.

LeakyDAISYcal · 01/12/2008 13:58

hey foxy

LeakyDAISYcal · 01/12/2008 14:04

how are all the LO's reacting to Christmas? DD is kind of oblivious at the minute, but I'm not sure whether to "big it up" for her. We were thinking of taking her to see Santa, but not sure how she will react; probably by screaming and trying to get away as fast as possible!

Ohforfoxsake · 01/12/2008 14:18

LO gets swept along with it all.

Its a bit like having all the 'firsts' again. First picture with Santa, but instead of being with one child, its a first as its ALL the children together.

I love seeing them all, and thinking 'this is it. Complete. We start from here'. Now I've had them all I get to watch them grow.

Loving it.

LeakyDAISYcal · 01/12/2008 14:23

aw foxy, that sounds lovely. I would feel the same if only DS1 weren't so bloody objectionable and disagreeable at the minute!

We had a lovely family meal yesterday though, and did get that "isn't our family great?" feeling

I'm looking forward to Christmas morning; it'll be pandemonium.

Ohforfoxsake · 01/12/2008 14:32

Its a tough time for our DS1s Daisy. I think all the children are finding this time of year hard going. End of the school term, all the Christmas stuff at school, there's a lot going on for them.

I left DS1 fighting tears after dropping DD1 at Nursery. Not sure why, he wouldn't say much. Still, he ran off after a football so got over whatever it was.

Didn't get my hamper BTW. Never mind, worth a try.

NattyTirednessAndExhaustion · 01/12/2008 15:24

thats a shame foxy..
thats really nice what you said about your family being completed was really nice xx

sorry i havent been about today, i been on the sofa under the duvet cos im soooo tired and soooo sick today ive got a dreadful cough, a headache, and awful ms, DH been looking after LO's while i slept till about 2pm, when i dragged myself off the sofa to get on with the dinner.

Thomas this year is definatly knowing whats going on, he keeps saying "look mummy christmas" which last year he was oblivious to.
ellen likes the shiny and sparkly stuff, but i think thats about how far it goes

LeakyDAISYcal · 01/12/2008 16:14

ikwym foxy. DS1 is a bit quick to tears at the minute as well. He has also got this thing going on about not being told what to do and berates DH and I for bossing him, ordering him about, treating him like a servant and not making him feel like he's part of the family . He has a gob on him like the Mersey tunnel and isn't endearing himself to anyone.

DH and I had a lovely, illicit cuddle on the sofa this afternoon while the littlies were down for their nap. We felt like giggly teenagers, lol

trace2 · 01/12/2008 16:25

hello all hope everyones ok? as usual not read thread lol can i ask do we all send our ss same
day if so when is it? also daisy did you like your prezzie? not been on since

ds as got dx for aspergers and dyspraxia
also they think he may have adhd its only took 2 half months to dx .

NattyTirednessAndExhaustion · 01/12/2008 16:31

lol daisy that sounds like me and my DH atm, with kids up randomly in the night the only peace we get is during day time naps lol!!

just found out my sister in law is pregnant, 12 weeks so that wil be nice, tom and ellens first cousin, and my first neice/nephew

LeakyDAISYcal · 01/12/2008 18:05

yes, I did Trace. am looking forward to pampering myself with the sanctuary stuff; it smells gorgeous. The chocolates were delicious and the toys have been a huge hit; especially the squeaky eggs.

Sorry to hear about DSs dx, but at least now you have one you can begin to deal with it and he can get the help at school that he needs. He seems like a real wee bright spark though, so I can't imagine it holding him back from doing things he wants to do

How's Chloe?

LeakyDAISYcal · 01/12/2008 18:06

Congratulations to your sister Natty . I love being an Auntie; it's easier to look after my nephews than it is my own children

LeakyDAISYcal · 01/12/2008 18:29

DD has discovered that she can undo popper studs. She has been wandering around all evening with the studs in the legs of her dungarees undone and keeps tripping up.

oh bugger she has now managed to undo her vest as well, which means it's only a matter of time before the nappy comes off.

clever girl, but.....aaaarrrrrggggghhhhhh

question about potty training. As DH was in full time nursery when he was potty trained, they kind of did all the hard work for me and I just remember reinforcing what they had taught him through the day. As a result I'm totally at a loss as to how to go about it with DD.

trace2 · 01/12/2008 18:50

good daisy glad you liked them

yes ds is very bright been told thats how he cops in school but was told ds could do more if he was coping better does that make sence?

Ohforfoxsake · 01/12/2008 18:53

Bit slack of your MIL if you ask me Daisy

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 01/12/2008 19:01

Congrats to you SIL Natty. Is that your brother's DW or your DH's DSis? (Just being nosey!)

Christmas is over Jamlet's head so far. We opened the advent calender this morning and she shared the chocolate with me though. In a couple of weeks my parents will be visiting and we are going on the local steam train with Santa. Then we got a note from nursery today about their Christmas party with Santa. It is after my parents will have been so if she hates him on the train I can warn nursery at least. Not sure how much she'll pick up over the coming weeks, I'm not really expecting her to be excited by it, but just to enjoy things as and when they happen. I expect it'll be next year when the excitement starts to build up.

trace2 · 01/12/2008 19:06

when do we send ss?

NattyTirednessAndExhaustion · 01/12/2008 19:23

its DH's lil sister, shes only 19, same age as i was when i found out i was having thomas.. brings back memories lol

ellen just figured out the popper thing recently daisy, she can take her nappies off now which is a pain, however vests seems to escape her, must be an akward angle lol..

funnily enough thomas STILL cant get his vests off lol

LeakyDAISYcal · 01/12/2008 19:49

eh foxy?

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 01/12/2008 19:51

I think send SS to be in time for Christmas Trace. I'm not aware that there is an agreed day for sending, but someone will correct me if I'm wrong

Ohforfoxsake · 01/12/2008 19:52
