Hi all, hope you had better nights? Susie, that's a heck of a list of supplements ...I've given up....I buy them but then totally forget to take them, so I end up with £££s worth of out-of-date bottles cluttering the kitchen until dh eventually throws them out !

JKS - any better? Am popping to Waitrose later so will get some more kleenex in for you

Lucky - just posted on your other thread, hope it helps a bit

Simpson - can't say anything to help, but thinking of you, really hope you start feeling more positive over the weekend. I wonder if it would help to have some counselling with dh at some point? Now probably isn't the moment to load him with how you feel when he behaves like this, but at some point, if you stay together, I think he needs to be told....

OK, enough fillybustering ...I have work to do!!

MrsMcJnr · 21/11/2008 12:12

I can?t believe it, last night?s post didn?t post for me either and I didn?t save it but before I try and remember all the things I said some me, me, me news! My scan went really well yesterday the baby looks perfect and is low risk for all the nasties that you can look for at this stage, it is also a girl ? I just knew that it was!!! They?ve changed me due date again, to 30/5 so now a whole week earlier than I thought, shall be reminding them of that when they want to induce me!!

simpson · 21/11/2008 12:12

Hi all

JKS - how are you today?

Well DH went to work and seems to be ok fingers X!!

Went to baby clinic today and met some other mums there which was nice. DD has put on the weight she lost and now weighs 17lbs 15ozs.

Her eating has got much better but now think she has thrush ad she has red raw bum and NOTHING seems to be working. Also the cream that the hospital prescribed for her is HORRID and like rubbing a melted candle on her, so want to get something else. HV didn't have her prescription pad today to couldn't give me anything herself...

DS's ear is not right as I don't think he can hear very well so looks like back at doc's on Monday

Gosh...it's one thing after another!!

Lilyloo - Sorry to ear you are not going away. Are you going to do it another time?

Hi to everyone else!!

MrsMcJnr · 21/11/2008 12:13

Mrs mcjnr - that is great news
How many weeks are you?

You can start thinking about names now

countessofmontecristo · 21/11/2008 12:41

MrsMcJnr That's great news. Really pleased for you.

Gingeme · 21/11/2008 12:59

Afternon ladies. Feeling a bit sorry for myself. Wednesday night George was messing about being up and down and as I was cuddeling him he caught me in my left eye with his fingers. Ive never known such pain. Went to emergancy gp appt yesterday morning and was told I have a scratched cornea, the front bit of my eye. It hurts like hell. Feels like I have something in my eye all the time. Wore a patch yesterday. DH calling me cap'n Wendy all day. So if I'm not around for the next few days thats why.
Congratulation MrsMCJnr

Lilyloo · 21/11/2008 13:42

congrats Mrs Mc

simpson · 21/11/2008 14:46

Gingeme - Hope your eye gets better soon. Sounds very painful...

LaTrucha · 21/11/2008 15:19

Gingeme - that sounds horrible. I hope it heals fast.

Lily - great idea. She'll love that.

JKS - how'sit going today?

Simpson - ditto. How are you love?

Countess Hi!

Filly - how's work?

MrsMc - CONGRATULATIONS ON LITTLE MISSMC!

I don't usually take all those supplements, but I did when I was really run down, physicallay and mentally. They did help.

I'm just trying to sort out all my photos to print. I've finally done all the wedding ones, but now the CD drive on my computer sems to have gone kaput.Any tips? I'll have to find something else to do while Sabela's asleep. Housework? Nahhhhh.

JustKeepSwimming · 21/11/2008 16:58

simpson · 21/11/2008 19:54

Hi all

Having a bit of a stress here as sink still blocked. Grrr.

Waiting for plumber to come, hope it won't cost a fortune...we will see.

DH is thinking of stepping down at work and taking a less stressful role. It will be £3,000 a yr less but might make him feel better. MUCH less pressure at work etc.

JKS - enjoy tonight

madmouse · 21/11/2008 20:55

Simpson, that may not be a bad move, if work causes im that sort of stress. You may be entitled to (more) tax credits.

JKS have fun

I am trying to remember what sleep looks like, my men are conspiring against me . As soon as I am back in bed from settling Nathan (last night it was feed at 11, 3.30 and 7.10 and settle at 1.40 and 5.15) dh starts coughing his lungs out. At one point (2am) I considered getting up to clean the kitchen, as there was no way I could sleep. Settled for mentally planning the lunch for Nathan's baptism.

Just get a bit when dh does not take my advice to sit up rather than lie on his back coughing, won't drink sips of water etc.

But the day got better when the physio reported that:
Nathan's arm is getting a lot stronger
Those leg stretches that make him screech at me and hit me have effect and his leg tone is now nearly normal
The antics he has started to carry out in his cot (holding on to the bars with two hands and doing crunches) mean he is trying to sit himself up !

Then we had a visit from the occupational therapist who said he won't need much help from her as he is doing so well, that he is obviously very bright and very clever ( ), that he will probably do everything just in a bit more time , and that we have done a great job with him . I love good news conversations

Ginge poor you with the eye. Don't touch it and let dh spoil you. Those little people can be surprisingly violent sometimes

filly - huggies size four - genius, I could kiss you, still no sleep but hey no full body changes at 5am is a definite improvement in my book.

LaT that picture is insane, does she sleep like that al night? Will try to take a pic of Nathan tomorrow.

MrsMc that is such great news, time to relax and enjoy your pregnancy. A little girl, classic, bril.

Lucky, dh allergic to cats, sorry. How are you, you are very quiet?

Did i forget anyone, sorry...

LuckySalem · 21/11/2008 21:11

Hey all,

Before I start wingeing (again, sorry) while I remember....

LaT - Brilliant Picture
Lily - In regards to your LO waking all the time have you ever thought perhaps she's thirsty not necisarily hungry? Do you give her loads to drink in the day? DD regularly goes through 3/4 cups of water/juice a day.
MrsMc - A GIRL !! Lovely and glad all is well. Can't believe they've knocked you back again. Don't take any Sh1t from them when they start wanting to induce you. It's your choice remember.
MM - Glad Nathan is making progree. My friends DS has something wrong with the muscles in his leg that stop him from being able to sit up and he's now 14 months old and still doesn't do it. They've just finaly got round to sorting physio out for him (Gp's fault not friends) and hes starting to improve to sounds as though they are both at about the same stage.

Ok am mightily peed off today.
Last night I didn't get to sleep till 11pm trying to sort out the Avon orders (should make a little money this time) and tidying up from huricane aaliyah. Then toothache woke me at 3am, just as I was starting to fall asleep at 5:45, DD woke up so I had a total of about 4 hours sleep last night. DP managed to sleep through the whole thing till 7am after hapily going to bed at 8pm (nice 10 hours sleep for him) then this afternoon at 4pm had the cheek to say ok you have fun with DD, I need some sleep i'm working tonight. He was meant to be in work at 9pm but decided at 8:30 that he was just too tired and would go in at 10 instead. So thats another 5 hours there. So to his 15 hours sleep i've had 5 (an hour this afternoon with DD) I still have to feed all the cats, tidy up again and try to get my tooth from hurting and he's hapily snoring in bed thinking i'm going to wake him up again at 9:30 when I told him I wasn't even if it made him late.
Couple that with the fact i've just had to throw a £3 chicken away because the roast dinner that he was meant to do never came "i'll do it tomorrow"

I'm just up to my eyeballs annoyed.

Lilyloo · 21/11/2008 21:28

Lucky can completely understand esp with the sleep and wasted food! That is one of my pet hates!!
I actually only give dd drinks water with her meals maybe i am not giving her enough liquids thanks will give more tom!!

MM great news r/e Nathan he really is a little star. Sorry sleep so rubbish for you too it's enough with lo never mind dh too!

JKS have lovely night will you be getting lie in tom if so enjoy!

Simpson hope you don't get charged too much. A hands tied that one! We just had to pay £30 to get the old shed key that was blocking the washing machine he was here 5 min and we had had to break the shed lock and replace that!

Ginge ouch poor you have just trimmed dd's nails today after readin that she is forever scratching me so thought better to be safe!

LaT i went into town got niece pressie and couldn't for the life of me remember what else i needed will call to pharmacy tom!

Filly hope you got lot's done!

Well am feeling slightly sorry for myself that i am here rather than out! But mil said she will collect dc tom so may get an exra hour or so in bed tom! Dc really excited!

OP posts:
LuckySalem · 21/11/2008 21:31

Good luck on the extra sleep and I hope the extra water helps. I never realised DD could drink so much until we left a cup of juice filled up available for her and she easily goes through 3/4 - she's drinking less bottles now as well so I think she was drinking the bottles to satisfy the thirst IYKWIM.

Lilyloo · 21/11/2008 21:33

Actually Lucky when ds went to stay with mil she said he doesn't drink enough his sleep not great either and never has been. could be a coincidence but am happy to try ANYTHING!!

OP posts:
LuckySalem · 21/11/2008 21:38

I know what you mean Lily - LOL, Last night with my toothache I was almost prepared to wake DP and make him punch my tooth out!!

Lilyloo · 21/11/2008 21:40

LOL have you got some string on the door handle ???????????

OP posts:
LuckySalem · 21/11/2008 21:42

There is no way I can string around it (TMI) its a wisdom tooth on the lower righthand side and because I have bad gums, the gum has swollen around the tooth and it looks as though its growing into the side of my mouth - Dentist can't do anything apart from send me to have it removed under general anaeasthetic which I'd rather wait for. She thinks if the gum problem is corrected the swelling will go down and tooth will come through easier and if need be can be removed with just the injections for aneasthetic.

simpson · 21/11/2008 22:15

Lucky at tooth ache. I have ear ache ATM and nagging pain is horrid. Boo hiss to DP, you need your fair shaqre of sleep. I also HATE wasting food.

Madmouse - Great minds think alike It was one of the first things I thought of re more tax credits. I still haven't told them I am not earning anymore so need to do that too.

Well done Nathan (and his great mummy) sounds like he is coming on leaps and bounds, such a determined little fellow!! Hope you get more sleep tonight though...

Lilyloo - DD drinks almost a whole tommy tippee cup of water a day but she still doesn't drink much milk. Have got her up tp about 12 ozs a day. One bottle in morning, a cup of milk at lunch and a bottle before bed.

Well blocked sink was £124!!! But at least washing machine/dishwasher/sink works now...

simpson · 21/11/2008 22:18

Forgot to say went to Ds's school Christmas fete this afternoon and DS met Santa. They had a grotto for only £1.50!! He even got a little present!! His face was a picture, but wouldn't say a word...only nodding head etc

MrsMcJnr · 21/11/2008 22:24

Sorry ladies I am totally confused as to where I was so I?ll just catch up on today if that?s ok. Thanks for all your good wishes.

Xavier tried jelly today you should have seen his face, it was hilarious! I don?t think he actually ate that much but didn?t seem to mind it.

Simpson ? how are you feeling today hon? Apparently I am 12+6 (though I think 11+6 personally)

Ouch Gingeme poor you I?m getting migraines from my contacts at the mo so have reverted to glasses and Xavier keeps aggressively grabbing them, I never knew kids could be so rough!

LaT ? hey there

JKS ? you ok hon? X

Madmouse ? what a night but that is all fabulous about Nathan, you must be so delighted

Lucky ? you sound exhausted hon, big hug.

Hey Lily

Need to go to bed but as per usual DH is watching the nosiest films he can so DS will probably wake up terrified for yours truly to look after grrrrrrrrrrrrr!

LuckySalem · 21/11/2008 22:27

Go and tell him to turn it down before he wakes the kids. If he wakes them then take DS down to him to deal with.
This is the deal me and DP have and he has no choice in the matter.

JustKeepSwimming · 22/11/2008 07:14

Thanks all for the good wishes

had quite a good time out, good food (too much!) and nice wine (too much!) and some good company (some not but hey !).
Went to bed at 1.30 latest in years!!
H woke at 1.47
fed, back to sleep, i woke at 5 and waited for T.....
he woke at 6.18
(so gets 2 chocolate buttons at breakfast! bribery, hooray!)
that's the latest he's woken in weeks, hoorah, have we cracked it....
(i may have to keep bribing/feeding him chocolate though )

and he is thrilled with some helium balloons we brought home for him will def get some more for Christmas.

lucky - hope you got more sleep?

madmouse - just shows all your work is paying off, well done you and nathan

simpson - glad sink is now sorted hope the finances can be worked out.

mrsmc - hope X didn't wake up for you in the night?

lily - shame about the weekend but i hope you get some sort of rest today...

i'm thinking of going into the office for a bit of peace and quiet later. trying to get some work done with no-one else there and get dh to look after the boys for a bit. he did get up at 6 but i was awake so sent him back to bed.
or i could just go back to bed...

there are 2 couples staying here and i know that i warned them about early mornings (though it wasn't by my standards, apart from me lying there awake!) but it's now gone 7, i would have thought some of them would get up to say good morning...?
they're all young and prob had loads more to drink than old me though
no hangover here i was a little sensible!

countess - hi

sorry if i've missed you, happy weekends all
