Oh LaT i am so sorry the last thing you need after your mum i hope he is ok!!!

LilySwalLoosHerTurkeyBaster · 16/12/2008 13:42

Housemum i have just done a math gcse resit so can sympathise!!!

Lucky i have a £165 washer which my mum bought us when i moved out of home 10 years ago! Completely basic by Candy. Had repair man out twice to remove bra wires!
My dad use to have one cost him £800 had loads of trouble with it. The repair man said you should either buy a really expensive one, grand+, or a really cheap one as they are the ones he repairs the least!

Gingeme lol at George with santa think they really not bothered yet!
Hope Edward better now!

MrsMc i am at your parents and how they seem to think history will repeat itself!

Am so ds asked me this morning if santa has helpers as the one at school looked different from church. I was just trying to talk him round when he said he thinks it is the mummys and daddys who give the pressies not santa! I told him that wasn't true and am sure someone has said this to him

Housemum · 16/12/2008 13:53

Lily - one of the mums at school yesterday told me a good one - we had father Christmas visiting the school in the afternoon. She told her son that the school asked Santa to come, but if he couldn't make it he'd send one of his helpers, so no-one ever knows if it's the real one there or not. Seemed a good one to me! Luckily, DD2 hasn't twigged they all look a bit different - she said to one at the weekend that she'd seen him the week before.

MrsMcClaus · 16/12/2008 15:25

Awful night here last night DS was unsettled from 10.30 and DH and I were having to go in every 15 mins from then until 1.30am when we?d had enough and brought him in with us, he did sleep quite well after that but we didn?t really, we think he might have been cold

Oh LaT I am so sorry to hear about your brother, wishing him a speedy and full recovery x

Hey Housemum good to hear from you! Hope your DD?s mocks go well

Gingeme ? LOL about the bowl, sounds like Edward is ready for potty training. Enjoy that carpet

Lily ? thanks for your kind words sorry to hear that about DS, hope he starts believing again! I like Housemum?s explanation for the different shapes and sizes of the Santas!

Hey Lucky ? sorry, totally put of touch on the washing machine front.

simpsonsChristmasSpecial · 16/12/2008 15:53

LaT - so so sorry to hear of your brother...thinking of you and him in Simpson household ((hugs))

Lucky - Sorry don't know much about washing machines. We just bought the cheapest which is probably NOT the best thing to do!!

Housermum - Good to "see" you again!!

Well am totally knackered and definately on wine tonight!! Was at the hospital for 3hrs Saw 3 peads (DD having to be stripped of naked EVERY TIME) then they got the consultant (who turned out to be the crap person I had seen last time, thought he was on holiday )

ANYWAY...big debate as to whether she has allergies or whether she is just constipated at one point I lost my temper and said "You are not listening to me!"

Long & short I have got what I want: referral to dietician and a prescription for neocate I only got the neocate as she has been on it already though thanks to MN Consultant was very at her having been on it for 24hrs already!!

AaliyahsFirstXmas · 16/12/2008 16:11

Oh LaT - Hope your brother is ok.. Am thinking of him.

Still arguing with Dp about a washing machine I think i'll just buy one anyway!

simpsonsChristmasSpecial · 16/12/2008 16:34

Day has just got even worse...

Rang DH who is supposed to be at work and he says he is on his way home...can't cope etc wants to start new lower paid job tomorrow. Grrr.

Everything is always about him, he did not even ask how DD got on. I wanted him to start new job in Jan so he could get the o/t over Xmas. For f**ks sake....

AaliyahsFirstXmas · 16/12/2008 16:35

Oh simps ((hugs)) I dont know what to suggest hun. Just want you to know we're here for you and will do as much as we can.

Have you spken to child tax people?

simpsonsChristmasSpecial · 16/12/2008 16:37

I had to wait and find out what exact salary was (which I only found out last night) so will call them tomorrow.

Just fecking fed up with this....

AaliyahsFirstXmas · 16/12/2008 16:39

I can completely understand you feeling fed up... I think I would as well. I just hope that your DP is happier at the end of it to make things better for you all and that your money is still there.

simpsonsChristmasSpecial · 16/12/2008 16:49

The thing is that we had a long talk last night and he said it was best if he stayed in his present job till Jan. We would put it in writing that he would start then.

He has also had one beer and he is not allowed to drink on the medication...

JustKeepSingingCarols · 16/12/2008 19:35

Simpson -you have had so much to deal with recently. Good on you for standing up to docs & hope the neocate kicks in soon and works out for DD.
As for Dh - grr i want to give him a firm kick up the whatsit. Was it just the beer talking??
Sooo annoying/upsetting/frustrating for you

LaT - for you and thinking of your brother. I really hope he pulls through and is OK.

Um...

Lucky - no help re washing machines here, i went and bought the one they could deliver soonest
If you have time/money to look, i would say one's that have a fast wash cycle & a timer to let you know how long is left are good.

Hi Housemum

MrsMc re your parents. really they are out of order!
Hope you get a better night tonight.

We had a good-ish night, Henry went 6.45-6.20 . Tom was up a couple of times
Found out from a friend this morning that her LO had Scarletina (sp?) which is a mild form of Scarlet Fever or something. She was asking around to see who else might have had it. When she described the symptoms I think Tom has had it! Obv not severely as we would have been at the docs but the red cheeks, off food, poss sore mouth, etc.
And me too! I struggled all weekend with serious mouth ulcers all over my tongue.

All better now anyway.

Um, waffling now...wine going to my head and not even finished the glass

simpsonsChristmasSpecial · 16/12/2008 19:42

JKS - He had only had one beer

I totally went on strike this evening when he got in...DD was already in bed and I went and laid down upstairs leaving him to sort out DS.

Have given DH an ultimatum tonight (which I will DEFINATELY stick to) which is if he either drinks on meds or starts new lower paid job and then starts saying he can't cope...it is over.

I will not leave house he will have to go to Ireland.

DH has gone to bed already tonight saying he is tired

But at least I get to watch what I want on TV and drink wine

JustKeepSingingCarols · 16/12/2008 19:52

argh - lost post!!

simpson - sympathies... and have more wine

LilySwalLoosHerTurkeyBaster · 16/12/2008 20:01

Simpson what a day!
Am so proud of you standing up to 3 paeds though , well done you and thank goodness for the lovely sounding one on your thread who gave you the necate first!
Bet you felt like screaming when thye menitoned constipation
Hopefully now you have got what dd should have had a long time ago things may improve. Is she taking it ok ?
Sorry to hear about dh i guess it seems really hard as depression is so selfish which doesn't help you.
Hope tom he rethinks things. Can you do the letter with him tom saying he will step down in Jan so he can't decide otherwise ?

JKS sounds like scarlatina to me!

Thanks for santa tips ;adies he hasn't mentioned since school so going to ignore it but am more prepared if it crops up again. Am going to mil this weekend to get the santa food so hopefully that will help as will finishing school (am sure that's where he heard it) grrr!

My headteacher from work today asking if i would go down Fri as he has got my notice and would like me to go the end of term speeches etc! Get really shy at them type of things but have agreed i suppose i had been there 8 years and think i was quite well thought of!

simpsonsChristmasSpecial · 16/12/2008 20:02

JKS - feel better for taking control iyswim.

Wine going down well!! Too well!!

LilySwalLoosHerTurkeyBaster · 16/12/2008 20:04

headteacher 'rang'

simpsonsChristmasSpecial · 16/12/2008 20:12

Lilyloo - Haven't given her 100% neocate yet am doing that tomorrow but she takes 3 scoops neocate and 1 scoop C & G ok.

We made it to DD's babygroup party and there was another Santa there and I was waiting for DS so say he looked different to the one he saw yesterday!! But he didn't.Phew!!

A RL friend's daughter is supposed to join DS's pre school in Jan in the afternoon but found out today she has now got morning place. Bit gutted as ALL my RL friends kids have morning places so I won't be able to meet up iyswim

Also forgot to ring school today to tell them DS wouldn't be there....oopps!!

LilySwalLoosHerTurkeyBaster · 16/12/2008 20:49

Glad you made dd party and it would seem ds has recovered from a tummy upset for school tom
Shame about your friends and pre school did you ask them about changing to mornings ?

simpsonsChristmasSpecial · 16/12/2008 21:00

Had so much going on at the time when he started (having left DH etc)that I didn't think to ask and think its too late now as he has made friends etc.

Also I am NOT a morning person and the afternoons really suit our family better iykwim.

No early morning rush trying to get 2 Dcs fed etc...DD doing a poo JUST as we leave etc etc.

NOPE don't miss that side of it AT ALL!!

Has your DS got party tomorrow?

Will you go on Fri?

LilySwalLoosHerTurkeyBaster · 16/12/2008 21:28

Can you not arrange to meet some of the mums from the afternoon group ??
DS had his party yesterday but has to take a toy in tom for Thurs toy day (they go to church Thurs am so don't want them carrying toys walking up to school) has just taken him an hour to decide what to take
DD has her nursery party tom pm and last day pre school am so another busy one!
Think that's it then am looking forward to couple of weeks with no school / nursery runs!!
Yes think i will go may even get a nice leaving pressie who knows but will have to take ds and Martha !!

AaliyahsFirstXmas · 16/12/2008 21:35

okie dokes - Ladies sorry I haven't been so "with it" today been browsing the internet trying to find a "great deal" on a washing machine cos I HAVE to have one now, its getting ridiculous!

So sorry again for no personals I have read through but just forgot everything everyone had written.

simpsonsChristmasSpecial · 16/12/2008 21:40

Lilyloo - As DS has only been there half a term have just got to "hello" with some of them Took a good few months before making friends at his playgroup.

Think you MUST go on Friday. Dcs will have a good time too

What toy is your DS taking? DS had to take a toy in at pre school last week and what a suprise (not) took his wolf. LOL

Lucky - Have you found one yet? If you can hold off you might get a good deal in Jan sale.

LilySwalLoosHerTurkeyBaster · 16/12/2008 22:03

Lucky cheap and cheerful def !!
Simpson how about arranging a coffee afternoon could drop a few fliers at pre school ?
He is taking his primeval action figures. Has put them in a tupperware box and stuck a list to the lid of what it contains
He is quite anal like that (bit like me)
Not sure how Martha will cope with the ongoing speech at work on Fri and head trying to be funny i used to hate it and was just desperate to finish for hols! Think staff who started this year will be wondering who i am have been gone for a year!!

AaliyahsFirstXmas · 16/12/2008 22:04

I honestly can't hold off any longer. We've been without for 5 months and made do with going back and too to the laundrette but I can't afford that now and the washing pile is going to take 6 loads (£18 at laundrette) at least and I can't do it, I just can't do it!!
