Went to woolies today too - OMG!!! Not doing that again in a hurry.

Rockdoc - CONGRATULATIONS..... Well done for writing so honestly as well, I dont think I could have done that. I'm sure this baby will be as well loved and looked after as your current and good luck with the job.

MM - Am sorry you feel envious... just remember that Nathan will get there and it will be all the more joyous because of the struggle he's gone through to get there... My friends DS is now 14 months old and still doesn't sit unaided so.....

Simp - Same to you although it is sad if its the milk that's stopped her and very at the docs for not doing anything sooner.

Aaliyah is still up am knackered!!

JustKeepSingingCarols · 11/12/2008 21:53

oh, and

gotta love these smileys

JustKeepSingingCarols · 11/12/2008 21:55

Ali - GO TO BED!!! mummy has MNing to do

oh, and Henry still not able to roll..........

handy when you want him to stay somewhere, just lie him down, lol!

AaliyahsFirstXmas · 11/12/2008 21:57

Wish we had that option with Ali sometimes!! hahaha..... I love that she is so far forward in learning things and always one step ahead of us but then she is one step ahead of us all the time LMAO

simpsonsChristmasSpecial · 11/12/2008 21:58

Lilyloo - Have you got any points on your Boots card you can use? Thats the type of thing I tend to save them for..

JKS - Have NO munchies in the house tonight Will have to make up for it tomorrow!!

Lucky - Is A ok?

AaliyahsFirstXmas · 11/12/2008 22:04

Yeh she's fine - just raiding everything. Apparently she's not tired yet Currently under the computer desk ORGANISING the papers.

simpsonsChristmasSpecial · 11/12/2008 22:06

LOL. At least she is keeping herself busy!!

Thought she might have been sick or something.

AaliyahsFirstXmas · 11/12/2008 22:09

No she's fine - just literally not tired yet. She's busy telling DP all about her day now... although none of us can understand her!!

LilySwalLoosHerTurkeyBaster · 11/12/2008 22:10

DD has just woke with a hacking cough she has been fine and was when she went to bed!
Guess that's due to going to school , pre school and nursery to xmas plays this week!

Lol at A 'organising the papers'!

LaTurkey · 12/12/2008 10:47

Morning ladies!

Lucky - when DID she go to bed?

Simpson - that's outrageous of your MIL! I know it's like that with some families though (no excuse but you're not the only one).

JKS - Sablea still 'plokable' too. Quite nice. She can roll 180 degrees but just doesn't see the point!

MM - Sabela is amost a month older than Nathan and seems to have NO interest in propelling herself in ANY way. She won't even bounce in her door bouncer. She just sits there and waits for me to bounce her . You are not alone in fretting that your LO is not as advanced as some, you must just certainly be hyper aware of it. Don't worry. All my friends say it is

Lily - how's ths cough. HAve put a bid on a funky footprints mat. AND Lily - I address you as ebay expert....

Last night I was bidding on something. Not other bidders. It got to the 'less than a minute' stage and someone else bid when there was absolutely no time for me to make another bid. Now, when I've tried to bid in that last minute on other items in that last minute, ebay tells me thanthe bidding has ended. So how did this other person do it?

First Christmas party yesterday. She loved being with all the other children. She got her first Christmas present too, which she waved up and dwon in its packet! and then chewed the wrapping, of course.

Sabela (apparently, she was with DH) stood alone for 3 seconds today! She's so desperate to walk. Sees no point in crawling whatsoever. She's not even interested when other children do it.

simpsonsChristmasSpecial · 12/12/2008 11:00

Hi all

Horrid weather here.

Just got back from Ds's old playgroup where I picked up the picture I have paid for of Dcs together. Just have to get more copies now

Took DD to baby clinic and she now weighs 18lbs 2oz. HV when asked what to do with ff saga said she is nearly 1, don't give her a bottle at all!! Not quite the answer I wanted...Not going to start cooking etc if she wants a feed at 5am!!

MrsMcClaus · 12/12/2008 11:57

Morning ladies feeling nervous as I have to go to my Dad?s company Christmas lunch without DS and it?ll be the first time a non family member has looked after Xavier ? feeling sick! The couple looking after him are lovely and I?ve known them for years and they have 6 kids and 8 grandkids so are very competent but I can?t stop imagining how quiet Xavier will go when he realises that Mummy is not here I could be gone 4 hours or so and I know it?s good for me to get away and have some time just being me sometimes but it?s like leaving an organ at home isn?t it?

LaT ? ok I understand your point now about the manipulative marketing. My DH doesn?t buy me pressies or cards for any occasion he used to when we had more cash but now says he doesn?t want to buy crap and would rather buy nothing, I refuse to sink to that materialistic level and just get him what I hope are thoughtful meaningful little pressies I always feel the joy is the giving rather than the receiving luckily but I do admit to buying myself some lovely indulgent chocolates from Hotel Chocolate and putting them under the tree from an Imaginary Friend Glad you got the finger puppets. B2?s designer kitten changing mat arrived today a fabulous eBay bargain! I have a couple of the Baby Einstein CDs for DS. He loves the lullaby one but we both hate the playtime one. DS loves the ELC Teddy Bear CD though!

I have a pressie dilemma here now ? DH and I were out for dinner the other night with the parents of one of DS?s little pals and they gave me a Christmas pressie for DS! now I feel like I have to reciprocate and it?s so hard to get decent presents here. It wouldn?t be so bad but all the babies in the little group are around the same age so they have both Christmas and birthdays to celebrate plus the same little girl has a birthday party on Monday for her 1st birthday and her Mum was challenging me to beat the content of the party bags when DS turns one! how shall I deal with this? Be a meanie and not give the kids pressies for Christmas or party bags when DS turns one or just try and keep up with the Joneses? Help!!

Lucky ? LOL DS is rather partial to Faithless been meaning to ask, what is the name of the Lidl nappies you buy? The ones we got were called Toujours but they leaked we are now trying our local supermarket?s own but they take some getting used to as they are pull up ones and DS seems a bit young for such things!

JKS ? our flat is 15c most of the time! It?s quite a shock to the system as it is probably about 18c outside, the reverse from what we had in Scotland! I have a few friends that say the same about make up, they hate the feel of the glup on their faces. I?m sitting here wearing more make up than I have for ages for this blooming lunch and I feel like I should be in the Panto (really it doesn?t look as much as it feels I always do all the Christmas shopping in our house, DH gets too stressed about the money it costs but doesn?t notice as I start in September and get it all done gradually. Your posts are fab by the way!

Ginge ? I have the same issue with the intercom system, we have two though, one for the front gate and then one for the block and the internal one keeps on beeping until you answer, so annoying! your flat will feel like new next week when all the stuff arrives, very exciting!!

Simpson ? hope you are all feeling better in your house. Sorry that the dr didn?t prescribe the milk poor Ds Interesting re the cow?s milk and that?s horrific about the school shoes! Glad to hear HR are talking things with DH seriously!

Lily ? all the festive things with the DCs sound lovely how annoying about the football kit my Dad is hopeless, he?ll drag me out on Christmas Eve and it?ll be packed and after 10 mins he?ll tell me he?s bored and we?ll have to just settle for something for my Mum! at least he?s stopped insisting that we all have a brightly coloured Christmas jumper!

Angechica ? it is sad about Woolies and The Pier! Love that shop! Take care you x

Madmouse ? love the image of your Hubby and DS on the bike! we could have a caption competition on that! thanks for sharing the Dutch traditions with us my sister?s b?day is 5th December and we went to a German school when we were little and always had our shoes out!

Yay! Rockdoctor ? congratulations! join the club with me and Rubysmum! someone told me yesterday to lay off the rice krispies in future?/!! I can understand your worries, but it will work out hon! You must be due in June too? (well I?m 30 May but don?t believe it!) come and join the due in June thread, some lovely ladies over there too!

Ahh got to go, more later!!

simpsonsChristmasSpecial · 12/12/2008 13:00

Some good news!!

Woo hoo have managed to get DD a hospital appt for next Tuesday morning

AND it is with a different pead!!!

Gingemejinglybells · 12/12/2008 13:36

Thats great news Simpson
MrsMcClaus obviously preg brain hasn't got you yet. Your posts are just great.
We went to playgroup this morning and my rl friend is due her 4th baby 14th Jan. She doesn't look nearly as big as I did this time last year
We bought one of those digital photo frames for my parents for Christmas and I have been downloading some photos onto it for them. I went through thousands of photos right from when my little ones were babys. DH and I sat awing and oohing at them all
Some on facebook if you want to have a ganda!
George is getting more and more confident on his feet now. Wanted to be walked round nearly the whole time at playgroup this morning
Well not much going on here today.
Finnished wrapping my presants last night thank goodness.
Hope you all have a good day. xx

simpsonsChristmasSpecial · 12/12/2008 15:55

Why is good news always followed by bad!!

If DH goes down a level at work he will get 9K less a year

Things are tight now...don't even want to think about what they will be like on less money....

Gingemejinglybells · 12/12/2008 16:12

Simpson tis the law of sod isn't it?

AaliyahsFirstXmas · 12/12/2008 16:39

DD went to bed at 12:20 I dont know what the hell was up with her last night!! YAWN!! UP again at 7

MrsM - Toujours is what we have and have not had ANY leaks as long as you dont leave them for more than about 3 hours during the day or once she's up in the morning we have to change within the hour (which we do anyway) - Not sure why yours leaked.

Simps - WOOHOO for DD, Shame about DH. I hope you can sort something out. Can you get more CTC to top yourself up?

simpsonsChristmasSpecial · 12/12/2008 16:46

Gingeme - Definately law of saod

Lucky - Will definately get more CFC. Might be entitled to other benefits too, will need to look into it. Fingers X it will only be for a yr or so..till DS is at full time school.

DD miserable She is all snotty and has not done a poo yet (which is MOST unlike her!!)

LaTurkey · 12/12/2008 16:49

Brill website here!

AaliyahsFirstXmas · 12/12/2008 16:49

Well I hope that it'll tide you for the year.

Hope DD feels better soon.

Still not heard from that job and according to the jobcentre they were going to be doing interviews on Weds so... nevermind.

simpsonsChristmasSpecial · 12/12/2008 18:17

Sorry about job Lucky

LaTurkey · 12/12/2008 19:41

Lucky

Simspon

Sorry to both of you.

Lily - I won a mat - for only £2.99 incP+P!

MrsMcClaus · 12/12/2008 20:03

Back again I have to say I felt sick the whole time I was away from DS and dare I say it, pretty bored with the company well, the food was rubbish and of course I wasn?t drinking but it really took a lot out of me, I am exhausted tonight. Luckily DS got on fine when I was out until he got overtired but he was fine when I got home, we both wanted lots of cuddles though DH is still out with the same crowd plus he has left his car parked in the middle of wasteland where there is a market starting at 7am tomorrow so he?ll have to go down before then to get it (I?m NOT going!)

Angechica ? my DS does similar things to yours totally agree about childhood, we had very little but all I can remember is fun times (from that period anyway)

Simpson ? well done on the Woolies bargains! don?t be eventually things will be sorted out with DD?s milk and before you know it she?ll be doing all the things you are worrying about. Your MIL is just plain weird about your DC isn?t she?? Don?t let her come to stay! That?s great about the appointment!! £9k is a lot to lose

Tell us more about that book LaT I think I am guilty of what you describe

Lily ? great news on the debt free Christmas ? we?ve paid everything in cash since we got here at the end of May and it feels so much better than putting things on the never never. How bored must some MNetters be to be so hung up on grammar for god sake? Sending a huge hug because you sounded a bit low last night I am one of 3 girls too, I?m the eldest. Sorry about the cold sore.

Meant to ask, I weighed DS this week, he is 10.130kgs how does that compare to your babies?

Mad ? sorry you felt like that at soft play its just you wanting the world for Nathan and noticing other kids more, there are loads of babies at the soft play I take Xavier to who can do so much more, there is a little girl of 8 months who can walk, properly! Everyone has their own pace and you are doing incredible work with Nathan and should be really proud

JKS ? hope the weekend goes ok

Ginge ? thanks hon the trip down memory lane with the photos must have been fun!

Lucky ? you must be shattered what a late night Aaliyah had! Maybe DS pees a lot at night but two nights running I had to change him completely at 4.30am (after putting the nappy on at 8pm) because it had soaked through to his pjs. Sorry you?ve not heard about the job hon.

LilySwalLoosHerTurkeyBaster · 12/12/2008 20:11

LaT good news r/e mat dd has been crawling up and down ours again but can never get to the end in time for the lights
The ebay bidder may use a sniper tool i think you pay a few pence for them and they bid at the last second for you think they called auction sniper ??

Simpson at hv comment yeah sure will just rustle up a meal in the early hours
Glad you got new apt. Will you have the sample formula to try before then ?
Think the tax credits may help. We have looked into it and it's surprising how crossing a threshold can make little difference in take home pay if tax credits top it up!

Lucky 12.20 yawwwwn hope she snuggled up early tonight!
Shame about the job you would have been great , their loss!

MrsMc wow the posts are fab!
Hope you enjoyed lunch! I left dd with my sis this am to go to hairdresser and i felt really sad leaving her at her house. She really is my baby will find it hard not to baby her too much i think!

Gingeme do you think he will be walking by xmas ??
DD now uses the walker we got out of the loft but precariously!

MM , JKS and everyone else hope you ok!

Have sold dd's jumperoo on ebay for £40 i paid £38 getting collected tom as xmas tree takes up too much room and she doesn't like sitting in it any more!

LilySwalLoosHerTurkeyBaster · 12/12/2008 20:17

x post Mrs Mc shame you didn't enjoy it! I oldest too!
I never keep up with jones'es just do what i think los would like! How bout a helium balloon each instead of party bag! I usually try to do different rather than better!

Oh and Lat how cute with Sabela and fatherc!

DD still has cough a really red cheek on the right and a snotty cold too , could be a back tooth!

thanks heavens for a quiet day tom! Poor dd will hopefully get a full sleep without having to be woken for some play , party etc!
Although ds has party tom afternoon and dd has 2 on Sun good job i don't have social life!
