LuckySalem · 25/11/2008 21:32

Gonna try to get apt tomorrow.
Nope not bashed it and something pea shaped moves around ontop of me knee cap

simpson · 25/11/2008 21:36

Probably a bit of cartelige (sp)

Hope you get it sorted tomorrow.

LuckySalem · 25/11/2008 21:37

So DO i!! lol

JustKeepSwimming · 26/11/2008 06:39

Morning
The grin because i did CC last night with H and it was fine!
Don't really know why i decided to do it but involved less than half an hour of crying/shouting/quiet bits/him screaming in outrage whenever i left the room.
he must have fallen asleep as i woke up at 5.45 with ds1.
(he is a sod btw, 2 mornings post 6, then this, argh!)
Decided i want decent sleep by Christmas....

Lucky - ouch re knee, hope it's ok?

Lily - it looked like i ignore your post on here, did post on other thread. so sad for you and dcs
(don't let anyone let you feel silly for feeling sad, esp when it's a pet you've had for so long like yours)
Is it too soon or are you thinking or getting another one?

A friend's dog was put down a few months ago and they were all really sad, then when she realised how much easier it was without having to look after him they've put on hold plans to get another one. (though i know nothing about rabbits, are they hard work?)

simpson - how is the soya milk going down?(or should i say through? )

well ds1 has decided he doesn't want beebies this morning, argh, not sure what he's going to do quietly until ds2 wakes/or for an hour before breakfast!...

oh before i go, we will have our artificial tree - been bashed about before by cats and ds1 and moving.
we put more child friendly decs lower down, and left all 'precious' ones in the loft -there will be more Christmases but can't face cut fingers, etc. from broken glass baubles. why make any glass anyway???
will try this year and see what H does...

off to bermuda next June for my brother's wedding - he lives there atm with his fiance (both accountants).
have got enough BA miles to use a deal to save lots of money so trying to see if dh and i can go without boys
in-laws already booked in to help dh as i was going to go on my own, but as flights could be v cheap, think we should both try to go.
Imagine - maybe 4 or 5 nights/days child-free......

madmouse · 26/11/2008 09:14

well done jks

more here

bed at 8.30
settled him without picking up at 10.30, expected noise again 15mins later but none came until
1am feed
5am feed
sleep until 8am

now if I had not been cleaning until 11 I would have felt even better. bit drowsy now, body wants more sleep still

barristermum · 26/11/2008 09:44

Hi guys - managed to find the new thread and see it was positively telepathic as you've gone all nostalgic! How funny to see my name up there on the old list. Haven't added Cerys to the new list as don't want you to think it pushy of me when I am so useless about keeping in touch but I do pop in to look now and again and think of you all much much more.

Cannot believe some may be pregnant again - that is hard core! Am trying to persuade DH that we should have another in due course but he feels pretty against that at the moment so a bit of a sore subject. Am not giving up that easily tho'.

Cerys is simply fabulous - have put a recent picture up on my profile - we were playing around with a photo we might send out in Christmas cards. Cute isn't it? She is incredibly active now and goes to bed dropping with tiredness at 7pm and we don't hear another peep until 6.45am. I realise even looking at a few posts that makes me vvv lucky and send out sympathetic vibes to others struggling with interrupted sleep. She is crusing around on furniture a bit but not standing alone really or walking. Think we will have that by Christmas.

What are people doing over Christmas? My folks are getting so over-excited and practically buying out the toy stores and DH and I are seriously thinking about not doing much for the girl at all as her birthday is on the 10th and she doesn't really get the whole concept this year anyway - we were tinking of doing a charity thing in her name instead - is that a bit killjoy?

Anyway love to all - hope you are all doing well - gingeme, can tell from photos all are thriving. JKS hope you manage to get a bit of you and DH alone-time, Filly - sending out fraternal north-london greetings. So sorry to hear of pet-death so so awful I know. Congrats to MM and LaT if right. And to all else I haven't yet caught up on, big hugs xxxxxx

Gingeme · 26/11/2008 10:35

Morning Barristermum. Aw your little girl is sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo cute but then I am bias being a ginger too
Sorry about your rabbit Filly
Simpson thats great about the soya milk. I hope it does the trick.
Welcome Midge your dd sounds lovely.
Welcome back Amamni glad you didn't stay away for long
Mmmmm ceiling trees. Sounds good in theory but how does Father Christmas get the gifts to stay at the bottom?
I wrote a wish list for DH last night. You know a few suggestions as to what he could buy me? At the bottom I put 'puppy' and he kept looking at me not sure weather I mean it or not lets see shall we?
Well not alot going on here today. Have just finnished mopping the floor, washing machine on spin cycle. Hope you are all ok. xxx

Lilyloo · 26/11/2008 11:02

Hey all another rubbish night here
But great news MM and JKS. LOL JKS that's how i ended up cc just decided one night at midnight We are going to do it again this weekend as back to two hourly wakings again!

Barristermum lovely pic , we doing the pressie thing as the other dc's would wonder why Martha hasn't got any but if she getting loads of family a charity gift is a nice idea!

Gingeme lol at the gifts at the bottom of the tree!

DC's posted letter to rabbit this morning and i have unenviable task of clearing out her old cage this aft . Will freecycle her hutch but might keep her water bottle.
Am not getting another i have enough on my plate now. The dog, fish and rabbit were a good idea pre dc but they are hard work so won't be replacing any of them.

OP posts:
Gingeme · 26/11/2008 11:39

Lillyloo I have just put Georges 9-12 month clothes on Freecycle. None of them fit him any more plus we don't have any more babys to hand them down to now

Amani · 26/11/2008 13:45

just popping into say 'hi' Have started reducing the amount of formula that I put in DDs feed in the hope (I say with fingers crossed!) that it will make DD2 sleep through. Last night, I just put one scoop less, but my goal is to eventually reduce the milk feed with water and then no night feeds at all..... ??? , although the shush - pat appraoch didnt work much last night...

Gingeme · 26/11/2008 14:45

Amani I did that with ds3. It worked up to a point. Mind you all my lot were different re sleeping through. George is my longest all the others were sleeping through by now

simpson · 26/11/2008 15:50

Hi all

Lilyloo at your Dcs posting letter to bunny.

Gingeme - LOL at gifts under the tree

Amani - think reducing amount of milk is a good way to go, good luck!

Barristermum - Love the pic of cerys, she looks very like you.

Madmouse - Well done Nathan!! Now just got to train Mummy to go to bed earlier

Lucky - Hope doc's goes ok...

JKS - Glad CC went ok with H. Heres hoping sleep sorted by Xmas!!

Have had a bit of a celebration here (sorry if TMI) but DD has done her first "normal" poo in over 4mths!!! Bless her

Lilyloo · 26/11/2008 20:21

Simpson glad the soya seems to be helping her poor little thing hopefully she has turned a corner now (fingers crossed emotion)

Amani hope it helps , what is her sleep like ? We are awful here Martha seems worse if she has less sleep in the day too! All the running about with bunny yesterday meant she didn't get real sleep. She is very like ds who dodn't sleep through until 3

Gingeme how lucky to have had 5 and 4 of them sleeping through by now and why the face at handing George clothes down i thought you were fine about no more ? Or just sentimental ?

OP posts:
Gingeme · 26/11/2008 22:19

Yeah just sentimental I guess. A lady is coming on Sunday to pick the bits up. She has a 10 month old boy but she says he is quite small. I told her George is 5 of 5 and she said OMG! We weighed him on our wii fit tonight and he is nearly 2 stone
Our 2 year old is just over 2 stone............

JustKeepSwimming · 27/11/2008 08:57

gingeme - that's big! though i have no idea what Henry weighs - must remember to try him on our scales at bathtime. i know he's over 20lbs, so 24 is not that much more...
Henry has never got as chubby as Tom did but he is much longer/taller.
re giving away the clothes. i'm still keeping everything for now.
Though see it as cathartic to be able to clear things out, Dh would be thrilled to have anything leaving the house, lol!

simpson - good news about the soya so far

lily - martha is not cooperating at all with sleep is she? tell her henry said he is getting it so she should too

no feed last night, H only cried on and off for about 15mins, i went in twice, dh went in once, there was another whimper then ....peace until 7.30 so really he almost sleeps better then ds1.
ds1 went to 6.30 today, fab
though now we are running behind schedule and will be late for playgroup.
dh working from home this morning which means i can leave ds2 napping with him and just enjoy playgroup with ds1 - nice for us to get some together time without ds2 shouting for attention too.

right, best get showered and dressed, back later

madmouse · 27/11/2008 09:32

hurray for Henry (and JKS )

It is rubbing off
Last night:
8.30 sleep
9.30 very brief shush and pat
10.30 awake and crying, mummy's shushing failed and so did daddy's, with Nathan becoming more and more upset. Found tooth nearly through, gave Calpol, zonk within five mins
1.30 feed
then weeeeeeeeeheeeeeeeee, what time is it now, grope for clock hmm lots of traffic on the road, almost 7am!!

pleasant surprise as he has been to cm again yesterday and was quite clingy in the afternoon. for someone who cannot crawl he did an amazing job following me through the house , rolling, pushing, scooting and screaming he managed to go after me into the bathroom and bedroom.

soft play today and probably music class too. first I need to pop by hozzie to have bloods taken. My nails have gone all funny and gp wants to check for deficiencies.

madmouse · 27/11/2008 09:34

gingeme, 2 stones, that is 28lb , Nathan is on the way to 16lb I think

but then my friend has a 5 year old weiging 2.5 st and a 2 year old weighing 2st

Gingeme · 27/11/2008 10:44

Morning ladies. We had a pretty good night too. Bed with bottle at 8pm, a litle late for us but never mind, awake about 11 for a little cry. Did a couple of massive farts then settle till around 6.15am . Not bad not bad.
Is anybody using a baby walker? I don't mean the ones they push along I mean the ones they sit in and scoot along with their legs? We are and George just loves it. Just wondered is all
I got some shiny paper chains off Ebay. Our cieling is too hard to put drawing pins in and the blue tac or selotape just falls down so I thought about trying some paper chains. The boys can help me make them too

LaTrucha · 27/11/2008 12:18

Glad for good nights. Madmouse, Sabela is around 16lb too. I've been reading some of my mother's journals from when my brothers were small and they were both weighing around 24lb at 6 months! Must have been all those rusks tee hee hee. But quite don't you think?

Rubbish night last night. Sabela woke up at 11.30 and then at 3.30 and could not get back to sleep. I bought her in next tome which usually doea the trick btu she was literally tossing and turning from side to side and could not go. Trying to just go with the flow today as naps all went haywire, of course.

Simpson - you must have loved that poo! Glad soya seems to be suiting.

Hello Barristermum! Don't be silly! Add your name to the list!
Gingeme - we made paper chains when I was little and we're still using them! Dad says it's sentimental but also he's a comedy skinflint. I put up the decorations in my Dad's house every year and am never allowed new ones because of this, except for the last year I wasn't there and they bought new ones! It's a lovely thing to do though. We even have some sweetie wrapper birds I made when I was about as old as your DS3 (David, right?)

We've given Sabela her birhtday present early. It's one of those trolleys of bricks. She ADORES it, spending her afternoons holding on for dear life and bending her knees. She can't really push it yet of course, but we can't take it to Spain so we thought she may as well have it now.

Lilyloo · 27/11/2008 12:40

Not too bad last nigth. She went to bed a little later at 7.30. Feed at 11 and feed at 3 then up at 6.45. I can cope with that as the feeds are quite short.

Simpson i have just been to elc and they had their animals reduced i picked up two wolves for 99p each if your ds wants them ? They white ones small enough for stocking fillers. Don't worry if not they can go on ebay i know how quickly they can move on to next thing!

Have just picked up a few xmas pressies this morning and doing the rest Sat so hopefully will be finished by Dec! Think the dc will get more than normal though as i seem to keep adding to their things

OP posts:
Gingeme · 27/11/2008 13:20

LaTrucha that is so lovely re the decorations

madmouse · 27/11/2008 17:09

simpson · 27/11/2008 17:12

Hi all

Glad to hear some of the bad sleepers are getting better

Amani - How did last night go?

Lilyloo - Great mind think alike...I was in ELC today and bought him a wolf Also got him hand puppet characters to Little Red Riding Hood from the Entertainer. His wolf obsession still going strong!! Thank you very much for kind offer though...hope you can sell them on e bay.

LaT - I bumped into an old work colleague today in town and her 4mth old DD weighs 14lbs DD is only 18lbs...

Gingeme - I put DD in the baby walker at the toddler group I go to and she didn't have a clue what to do!!

Madmouse - Hope hospital went ok and Nathan enjoyed soft play. LOL at him following you round house without crawling!!

JKS - Hope you enjoyed playgroup!! I always love having one on one time with each Dc. DD has got so much less velcro like since I have a few hours just me and her while DS is at pre school

Have finally put DD up to size 4 nappies today!!Can't believe she is on size 4 and DS is on size 5

DD has also just thrown a hissy fit as there is no broccoli left. Can't see that happening when she is older

barristermum · 27/11/2008 22:12

Okay, so here's the updated list - Gingeme needs to contribute:

LaTrucha - DD 1st JAn (Sabela)
Barristermum - DD 10th Jan (Cerys)
Kelix DD 15th Jan (name?)
LuckySalem DD 16th Jan (Aaliyah)
Lilyloo DD 18th Jan (Martha)
JKS DS2 21st Jan (Henry)
MrsMcJnr DS 24th Jan (Xavier)
Filly DD 29th Jan (Tamara)
Simpson DD 29th Jan (Molly)
Angechica DS 29th Jan (Alek)
Madmouse DS 1st Feb (Nathan)

Am on huge work avoidance - so so much to do and am sitting at the computer being really ill-disciplined! Got to go to P'mth tomorrow morning, Southampton tomorrow afternoon, and then return to London before husband's rellies arrive for the weekend, and am cooking for 10 tomorrow night. It' going a bit mad. As I type Cerys has roused briefly and is moaning quietly over the baby monitor as she tries not to properly wake up.

Bought her some stocking fillers today - v cute little tamborine, and noisy book. So much for not going the full hog!

Have caught up a bit better - Lily and JKS - I totally agree with all Filly has said. Simpson - so sorry things are so up and down. You must feel on the edge of a precipice all the time. Latruch - are you a bit relieved it was a negative? Mrs McJnr - can you believe after all your struggles to have DS you are now looking at scans again already? Madmouse - Nathan is truly a credit to all your faith and energy. Are you going back to work as planned? Filly - how is your work? Glad or miserable to be back? Ginge - how's the cornea?

Where did Nicky6 go? Or Mixedmama? Or Awen?

Gingeme · 27/11/2008 22:14

Simpson George is in size 5
How did you get Nathan to sit still for a haircut?
