Hi guys, i'm still around...i was the name changer as i'm sure some of you may have guessed. Am still trying to work things out. Thank you for all the and good wishes

anyway-i'm having thhe same with Shannon too with the clinginess, especially when i need the toilet

I have had a lovely day-Rich had the girls from tea time last night, while i went to db and sil for the night so i had an unbroken nights sleep(apart from it was so cold there and i needed a drink but they had put the alarm on so i couldn't go down!) But it was nice to have a lay in, then me, sil and bf went to the local college for a facial which was divine, went for lunch to a weatherspoons, which was OK, then back to the college for a manicure-which was rubbish but hey, childfree day, not complaining, then a bit of shopping, I had left Rich a list of jobs that i would normally do and he has nearly managed to do them all, but i think he's shatterd now, bless him He said i could stay out tonight aswell if i wanted to, but i'd feel too guilty..although he cooked tea and got Shannon ready for bed, then put her down. I so underappreciate him...will try harder now i think after this

Right we're watching a DVD tonight, hopefully will be back later to reply to everyone!!

LisaLessLumpy · 05/12/2008 22:11

Sorry I haven't posted properly for a few days.

Big Hugs to you J20, glad you had a nice day and Rich sounds like a keeper

Stefka · 05/12/2008 22:15

Hello!!! Have my laptop back. Been trying to catch up but there is soooo much! I probably won't get the chance to read it all until next week as tomorrow is the grand event of the year - yes the sil's birthday party for her dd. Looking forward to seeing my brother etc but otherwise am bracing myself! Will let you know how it goes.

I didn't get the job on Monday. I was really gutted as it was very local and a really nice job. I asked for feedback but they haven't responded which is annoying. I thought it went alright so who knows.

J20 - I saw your post. I am so sorry you are dealing with such difficult and painful issues right now.

Gosh I missed you guys by the way!

LisaLessLumpy · 06/12/2008 06:30

TLESinChristmasStockings · 06/12/2008 07:44

strawberrylace · 06/12/2008 08:37

sorry about the job stefka

WinnieThePooh · 06/12/2008 19:13

You lot are so chatty it is hard to keep up with all the posts.

Can I justr ask you all, what CTF accountr have you gone for. I forgot to add Shula to the Child Benefit for ages and have just had my CTF voucher through. I am overwhelmed by all the accounts that are available and would like some reccommendations. Richard has said that a shares(non-stakeholder) account would be best at the moment, but there are so many to choose from.

Thanks in anticipation

deckthehallswithinzisholly · 06/12/2008 21:24

not so chatty today though WTP!!!

sorry no advice, I dont think we even got ours to anyone on time. If that happens I belive its automatically put into a fund for you recommended by the goverment...need to check it out though

sorry stefka, hope you get some positive feedback soon.

J20 Dont have the approriate words...just sorry . Glad Richie is helping out, you need that just now.

HARKTHFloriaToscaSINGS · 07/12/2008 09:05

Couldnt add the "e" ...too many letters ... it seemed the most approprieate one for me

LLL; something with "la la la la la, la la, la la"?

Stefka; ((((Big hugs))))Something must come up for you soon...I wish it would happen before Christmas so you could look forward to the new year ... hope the sils party didnt make you grind your teeth too much.

J20; ((((big hugs))) to you too. Have you arranged any counselling yet ? What a star Richie is..my Dh hasnt done anything near so much for his own child!

Dal; Woohoo!!!..."we know what you've been doing!!"....I hope you are instantly sucessful ... desperately wish I could join those of you ttc-ing

We've had an eventful couple of days. Put the tree up on Thursday night, prompting 15 mind of "WOW!!!"s on Friday morning, instantly followed by half an hour of me trying to teach him to leave it alone while he pointed at each bauble saying "Ball!Kick it!" I had booked tickets for a local amateur theatre groups panto on friday night as Alex hadn't gone to sleep before 10pm on any night this week but his lordship decided that this was the day to nap refuse for the first time so, just as we were preparing to go he passed out exhausted..I went alone leaving Dh to babysit (couldnt waste all the tickets and I wanted to see my pupils performing)so he has yet to experience his first panto. Unfortunately I fell on the frozen snow coming home and sprained and grazed my wrist but Dh coped with a "wake up" all on his own and is now very proud of himself! And yesterday we went to Buxton to meet up with my bfs from school (S now lives in Somerset but was up in Derbyshire visiting Ils) with our Dhs and S's 21mth old DS son which was fantastic (Alex saw someone fundraising in a reindeer suit and "wow"ed and laughed for ages!!!...then came home to Dhs friends party ...so we have been busy busy busy!!!
Woken to a frozen winter wonderland again this morning....brrrrr...its going to be a chilly dog training class...off to make a heart breakfast to prepare for it.

HARKTHFloriaToscaSINGS · 07/12/2008 09:07

should have been 15 "MINS" of wows ..grrr

deckthehallswithINZIsholly · 07/12/2008 13:50

LES, Was it not yesterday you were meeting your stepbrother? Did I get the wrong daye? how did it go?

TLESinChristmasStockings · 07/12/2008 14:15

Inzi, yes it was and it went really well. He is very like my dad in many ways..was a lot spoken about. He got worried when I said i would like to one day meet his children. He said he panicked cos he thought i meant soon i soon put him straight and explained i meant one day in the distant future lol.

He said he can't imagine us sitting around playing happy families which to be honest nor can I as he has had a different life to me iyswim.

deckthehallswithINZIsholly · 07/12/2008 14:21

Glad it went well LES. Its good to take is slowly and I am sure you will eventually meet his family when you are both ready. It must of been strange meeting up, do you think you will meet with your stepsister as well now?

TLESinChristmasStockings · 07/12/2008 14:43

Inzi, no they are my half siblings but she chose when I was 15 and she was about 23 not to have anything to do with me...and bad side of me I never forget lol xx

FLORIAinexcelsisdeo · 07/12/2008 17:55

Oooh I just thought of this Christmas name...better do you think?

Tles;glad it went well

WhiteWineAndJaffaCakes · 07/12/2008 18:11

Anya is walking everywhere now, although she still crawls if it's more than a few feet as it's faster! Still having a few restless nights. Sometimes she'll sleep through but other nights she can be up several times. I think she's still putting on lots of weight, although her appetite has calmed down a little bit. She's going through a screechy phase though - can't wait until she learns to talk!

FT - no, pottery place doesn't do imprints as far as I could tell - it's just painting. Would be a great place to take Anya & Alex one afternoon though . Hope your wrist is better.

Alice - no real advice re being clingy. It's strange, Anya's not clingy at all with me but is stuck to dh like a limpet when he's round. But they do go through phases - Anya's more wary of strangers now than she used to be - she goes very quiet, which is not like her at all .

J2O - sounds like you had a wonderful day. Big hugs - hope things get easier for you.

Stefka - sorry about the job. Hope sil's party wasn't too traumatic.

Winnie - I'm a financial adviser so if you want to email me I can chat through with you about ctf's minus the jargon. email address is rogerandnicola at hotmail dotcom.

Need to sort out a Christmas name...

crochetdiva · 07/12/2008 20:17

hello ... am loving everybody's Christmas names ... anybody have any ideas for me?

J20 - just wanted to send you enormous cuddles, and lovely pats on the arm ...

Stefka - am really sad to hear about the job - hope SiL's party was fun (can't really do sideways smile!)

Alice- hope your new job was ok ...

Am going to watch SCD - am resigned to thefact that Mairwen is going to sleep badly tonight, poor love is coughing so horribly.

deckthehallswithINZIsholly · 07/12/2008 20:18

WWAJC - easy name change for you - mulled wine and jaffa cakes!!!!! Great that Anya is walking..it changes to running very fast

floria,dal,les,muppet loving the christmas names

LLL - working on it, your name isnt easy, maybe get rid of your leslumpy bit then you could choose lots with just the lisa bit.

xx
