And I now know why F didn't sleep at all well last night.
I took her to tumble tots today, and as she was smiling at me I noticed a huge ulcer on the edge of her tongue. Went to the pharmacy on our way home and got some gel to ease it for her.
Anyway, her top lip was swollen and I couldn't work out why, so I lifted it up for a look and my poor little girly has two nasty ulcers under there too. No wonder she cries every time she tries to eat.

Sexonlegs · 11/11/2008 19:36

Which one is Liath's dh then??

geordieminx · 11/11/2008 19:48

His name begins with M?

geordieminx · 11/11/2008 19:52

And he is a doctor.

geordieminx · 11/11/2008 19:52

And he is a doctor.

shouldbepackingpesha · 11/11/2008 19:55

Just came on to ask exactly the same thing!!

Have finally got internet back! Not caught up at all though but will try to.

Oh and SPB - but they don't talk like toddlers, they don't talk in sentences or have proper conversations with you so they ARE STILL BABIES!!!! OK?!

Or mine doesn't anyway, I got lots of words but no sentences and no conversation - that is my marker for toddlerhood and I don't care what you all say so tssppppppppp!

shouldbepackingpesha · 11/11/2008 19:58

Just read a bit further down - Congrats VIO!!! Thats lovely news.

Everyone seems to be having babies at the moment ----

StealthPolarBear · 11/11/2008 20:51

Hi everyone esp pesha
Well I suppose I don't really know, my toddler says Mammmy, Meema (Grandma), Daddy, and that's about it! Are we not seeing you again until this thread title';s gone?
Good luck with the move

StealthPolarBear · 11/11/2008 20:52

just noticed the baby
No4No4No4!

leakyR · 11/11/2008 20:54

Congrats Vio. That's lovely news!

I took day off today. Sickness from 4am and I feel wiped out.

Sexonlegs · 11/11/2008 21:21

Bum, I missed it. Fil was here and dh was upstairs sorting B out. Couldn't just leave him sitting in the kitchen....

Leaky, you poor poor thing. Can you get an anti-sickness injection? My cousin was so sick she was deyhdrated and they gave her something for it. Seems mad that you have to go through this.

All ok here. Spoke to my Dad earlier; he had had a few glasses of wine which is very unlike him. Mum is doing ok and they may release her next Monday - would be lovely as it is my Dad's birthday!!

JS, poor poor F Sounds horrendous. Hope she is ok.

Hope everyone else is well. xx

PillockOfTheCommunity · 11/11/2008 23:27

If I can work out how to transfer the recording to my dvd recorder then I'll post you the cd!

PillockOfTheCommunity · 11/11/2008 23:28

doh. dvd, obviously

shouldbepackingpesha · 11/11/2008 23:36

I had to read that 4 times before I realised what you'd said wrong! i kept thinking 'but she's written dvd, whats she about?!' Time for bed I think!!

SPB - No, definitely no No4, just occassional moments of insanity broodiness that soon pass!

NorthernLurker · 11/11/2008 23:40

SOL - hope your mum gets home soon. would be lovely for you all if it's your dad's birthday. Are you taking care of yourself? You seem to have a lot of running around to do and it won't help your mum if you get crocked up too! Take some multi-vitamins and eat properly!

Well it's my turn for the guilty mother award tonight - B was sitting next to me on a chair sway to and fro saying 'hicky dock' (hickory, dickory dock) when she swayed a bit to far and fell off on to her head! She cried, I picked her up and felt like crying and we had a big cuddle. She seems fine and had a soft landing on the carpet so I will just take a deep breath and say fifty times 'accidents happen' right?

JS - Poor little F, how horrible for her Hope she is better soon.

Sexonlegs · 12/11/2008 11:28

No posts all day????? What is going on ladies???

NL, thanks for thinking about me. I am fine, just tired.

Pesha, how is the packing????

All ok here. K asleep in the car having been to Jo Jingles this morning.

Lovely day here.

How is everyone?

CaptainDippy · 12/11/2008 11:49

Poor F, JS Hope the ulcers get better soon. xx

My turn to say don't worry NL - it has happened to us all at some point xx

Would be soooo lovely if your mum could come home Monday SOL

Have been sleeping all morning Dr gave me new sleeping tabs yesterday ... suffice to say ... I don't think I'll be taking them again!

shouldbepackingpesha · 12/11/2008 11:52

Have you all run away because I've come back?!?!?

Packing is done, we moved in to new house a couple of weeks ago. Think I need to change my name to should be unpacking Pesha!! New house is lovely though, sooo much better than the old house.

How is your mum SOL? Hope she is home soon.

NL - accidents do happen, quite a lot in this house!! Dylan fell off the coffee table yesterday, was trying to climb down just as I walked in the room but slid a bit quickly, smacked his chin on the edge and bit his tongue. There was A LOT of blood He cried a little bit but not as much as I would have expected considering the amount of blood, he just wanted me to sit and cuddle him for the next 10 minutes. WHich is not unusual for him at the moment. He has had an ear infection and his eczema has got quite bad again so has become very clingy and is back to bfing 2 or 3 times a day when previously he had cut down to just once every 3 or 4 days, if that. Trying a new cream for him atm but not really sure where to go now with it iyswim. Think I might start a thread later.

Have still not even attempted to catch up yet but hope all is going well for everyone

Doobydoo · 12/11/2008 12:00

JellySnakes · 12/11/2008 12:05

Hi all. I have taken F to the GP this morning as her poor mouth looks horrible. He has given her some antiseptic gel, but not much else you can do for them. I asked him to look in her ears as she had been pulling at one of them, and to top it all off she has an ear infection too. Poor little thing is a sorry state right now. So yet more antibiotics for her.
She desperately wants to sleep, but can't seem to settle Got to go, she is yelling again

JellySnakes · 12/11/2008 12:14

Leaky, I really hope things settle down for you soon. How many weeks are you now? The constant nausea is just awful.

SOL, hope you are feeling ok today

NL, as others have said, accidents happen. Ds managed to kick F right in the side of the head. He kicked the ball, but unfortunately she was sitting right the other side of it! No harm done thankfully, but lots of tears from both of them, one due to having been kicked and the other feeling guilty for doing the kicking!

F is asleep now, but is crying and groaning which is why I thought I needed to go to her. Poor thing, feel really down today, want to cry myself. Why is it that some days I cope really well, and others I feel like everything is going wrong around me? Just tired I suppose as I have had two nights with very little sleep now. Crossing my fingers that tonight might be better!

CaptainDippy · 12/11/2008 12:23

Hoping and Praying F is better soon. You have done all the right things Praying for good sleep too

Going to soft play this pm then to best friend's for tea Hoping I can shake these meds off soon, feeling spaced, not nice

JellySnakes · 12/11/2008 12:41

Thanks CD, have a lovely afternoon

F awake already, slept all of 10 minutes. Never mind, lots of cuddles and a bit of In the Night Garden I think. No housework for me today!

Sexonlegs · 12/11/2008 13:16

Oh JS, poor poorly F So awful when they are poorly. Hope you are ok xx

shouldbepackingpesha · 12/11/2008 20:13

JS - sorry F is so poorly.

D has been very similar, took him to dr Monday to check him over as he hasn't been well since having ear infection but he said all was fine. He seemed much better yesterday but today now has that horrid sickly sweet smell they get when ill and is currently refusing to go to sleep.

Dippy - keep meaning to text you but forgetting I have been searching through boxes of M's old clothes but can find hardly any 4-5 clothes and those that I have found are either summer things or pink Barbie things that we got cheap from sports world to be PE clothes for her and somehow don't imagine they're your sort of thing Although you are more than welcome to them if you want them. I think the problem is that I have either given them to my sister's dd who is 3 but big for her age so in some size 4 clothes or Maia is still wearing them being so dinky herself!

Have to go and try again getting D to sleep now
