Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Just had a fight getting Baby Sputnik to sleep. He's discovered the light switch just over his bed and I had to haul him back down again about a million times.

My one regret really about cosleeping is I have to stay in there til he's asleep as he is in a sidecar cot and could easily crawl off the edge of the bed.

I now exactly what you mean WW. andmost nights that's ok. But some nights it just isn't. (DS2 & 3)

educatingRia · 16/11/2008 22:39

bugger, I'm sure I went back and put a k in there

WobblyWallpaper · 16/11/2008 22:46

Actually I still stay with DD most nights too . Not because she'll fall out of bed but because she wants me. But she drops off in 5 minutes.

educatingRia · 16/11/2008 22:50

we usually have to debate the world, life and everything in between. DS1 wasjust the same. But he was PFB, so it wasn't a problem. I have less patience now

educatingRia · 16/11/2008 22:51

I do like the cuddles and "love you mummy" though. It's just the waking at 3am cos I'm not there that tests me.

WobblyWallpaper · 16/11/2008 23:01

At least DD doesn't wake up anymore nce she's off. She is making up for doing it constantly for the first 3 years of her life.

WobblyWallpaper · 16/11/2008 23:02

And speaking of sleep, I'm off too.... night

educatingRia · 17/11/2008 09:35

morning

educatingRia · 17/11/2008 09:55

a bit concerned about DH this morning. He has gone back to bed again. I don't know if there's a depressive pattern here as he does it quite often. Maybe he just had a rough night. His shoulder has been making weird cracking noises over the weekend and I think the pain is worse. I don't know what to do to help.

Hello

Blimey, thought it would take me ages to catch up but took me all of 5 minutes....its been very quiet.

I've had a manic few days....had to work 3 days on the trot , friends round Saturday for a Chinese that cost £47....and wasn't worth it. Nipped into Sainsburys to buy a mag and a pudding and spent £79 .....Got DD dressed up looking all lovely as we hadn't seen these friends in ages, and five minutes before they turned up I discovered she had a temp of 39.6, so when they walked in, she was dressed in a plain sleeveless vest covered in satsuma juice with a bright red sweaty face.....

Me and my mum and DD went to London for day yesterday to do relative visiting....then GTT this morning, 28 week bloods, more bloods for GTT 2 hours later then up to maternity day care for Anti-D injection. Then to the pub for lunch with family and an over-tired, whingy child (currently asleep).

Oh what a fun and busy life I lead ....looking forward to going to work tomorrow.....

Hope DH is ok Ria? Chronic pain is horrible. Does your local hospital have a pain clinic he can go to?

Birthday parties sound good Foxy ....very brave.....most people I know hand money over to a soft play area / swimming pool etc and get the children entertained/fed for them.

Phew long post....back to lurking for a while I think

educatingRia · 17/11/2008 15:51

poor DD norty. hope all was well at the hospital? Your weekend sounds busy but tasty (we had chinese over the weekend and it was gorgeous

DH out at the hotel tonight, so something different for him to think about. He has left roast dinner in the oven for me. There is a pain clinic in the hosp where dsis works, I will ask her then suggest to him. He has applied for a warehouse job today too, so fingers crossed.

OK, off to sort out painting plant pots with the boys

LittleMissNorty · 17/11/2008 16:24

Hospital appointments were fine thanks Ria - except the blardy parking.....if I go into labour during office hours, we're buggered! Took me 40 minutes to get a space today and I made it to my appointment for 2nd lot of bloods (which have to be exactly 2 hours after first) with about 2 minutes to spare......marching up the car-park holding onto my bump with one hand and DD's buggy with the other....I know I'm not fit, but . bloody hospital.

The John Radcliffe in Oxford had a nice scheme where you got a special ticket if you'd been in giving birth so that when you (or your partner) left there was a flat charge of a £ or so regardless of how long you'd been there. Didn't help with finding a spot though.

Poor jamlet is so snotty They say all the LOs at nursery were like it today. She's been like it all weekend, but not as bad as this, and has just lain slumped against me since we got home. Oh typical - just as I type that she gets down

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 17/11/2008 17:42

not for long though!

Sputnik · 17/11/2008 18:11

Snot city here too. And he was coughing like crazy last night too, poor thing.

I just want it to be that I was outraged at work today. My first period in 25 months and the sodding chocolate machine was broken (I'd forgotten how grotty it makes me feel)

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 17/11/2008 19:22

But I have bought chocolate pudding for tonight. If DH is lucky I might even share it with him
