Hello

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 02/11/2008 21:30

What does your DP do, JBM?

Riallybigbangandflash · 02/11/2008 21:39

So sorry JBM. maybe your Dp has gone out because he doesn't know what to do for you? They're funny things these men.

Am a bit of your aga, I like the idea of them but have a feeling there's no way I could cope with one in reality! Do you live in an aga-tyoe hous too? Will you cook in it too (that's the bit I have trouble with. If I can't cook in something that has a control dial...)

Did your DH and his mates keep the contract they wanted jammy?

justbeme · 02/11/2008 21:40

He's a painter and Decorator Jammy. There's just no work about. So I may have to do overtime at work!! Yikes!

Right am signing off now - night night x

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 02/11/2008 21:43

They are still discussing it Ria, but not looking that promising

OK, I'm off too. Night all

Riallybigbangandflash · 02/11/2008 21:47

That's a shame jammy.

Hey it's a new month. It's time for the start of new-month-enthusiasm (I will have run out by about 12.30 tomorrow I expect)

night night. Take care JBM.x

justbeme · 02/11/2008 21:53

this
not an actual Aga cooker ( I wish!!)

I really am off now - my computer keeps crashing and its sooooo slooooowww!

Riallybigbangandflash · 02/11/2008 21:55

ah, that'll be nice for these winter nights. not a scary cooker then

I have had to put on slipper socks and I have list my pretty pink ones. My feet are still cold.

Riallybigbangandflash · 02/11/2008 21:57

I suppose I should sign off too, and be nice to DH as he drove to Whitby in the fog.

Sputnik · 02/11/2008 22:25

JBM
I'm so sorry.

Riallybigbangandflash · 02/11/2008 22:51

hi sputnik (didn't go in the end, been reading the thread on spending £50 per child at xmas)and watching strictly. Am so chuffed John styaed in, and Jodie - she's my favourite (and that's what my figure would be like if I wasn't fat)

Riallybigbangandflash · 02/11/2008 22:54

Yipee, don't have to be nice to DH now - he's watching Spooks (too nasty for me). Don't know what I'll do instead.

Ohforfoxsake · 02/11/2008 23:02

slipper socks - now there's an idea for xmas pressies for kids. Thanks!

Suddenly I'm doing two birthday parties for DS1 and DD1 (they are two days apart and looming). Sigh. Too bloody soft, me.

Having spent all night looking for deals on party stuff and presents, am off to bed.

JBM, {{{{hugs}}}} honey.

Tallulah, hope you have a better sleep tonight.

Ria, I want to know more about your Goth day. Am intrigued.

Riallybigbangandflash · 02/11/2008 23:15

here is the best link I can find foxy, if you watch the slideshow. Loads of Goths go there and walk round the streets in their outfits and it's great (though I was a bit about the one with the dog lead and chain on his GF,and the bloke with the Hannibal Lecter mask .. so much for tolerance). There is a memorial bench for that young girl that was murdered and it was overflowing with flowers. which is lovely but .
DH went (as he goes everywhere - even Tesco) in his coat and hat so fittedin a s Van Helsing (there were even DH-clones) sadly I just looked like a fat Mummy. I may not be a full-on Goth, but I would love a floor length black lacy skirt(bugger - think dsis gave me one, will have to check!)and an item of crushed purple velvet clothing...

deffo time for me to go. Gnite (and good luck with the parties!)

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 03/11/2008 03:34

Whitby goth thing sounds good Ria. I have a purple velvet skirt, but don't wear it much. I used to be pseudo goth, in a mild way. More mummy-ish as I aged though, particularly now I am an actual mummy.

Can't sleep Anoying tickly cough. Scared I'll wake jamlet like I did early the other morning, so have come downstairs. Also sitting up helps stop cough, as does sipping milk. But obviously impedes going back to sleep Think I am also worried about jamlet's first day at new nursery tomorrow.

Riallybigbangandflash · 03/11/2008 09:29

sorry you're not so well again jammy. I'm sure jamlet will be fine, but i know that doesn't stop you worrying.

I could kill for a fry-up this morning.

Riallybigbangandflash · 03/11/2008 10:19

I've just bought my pushchair for £20. DM is collecting it later. Hope she isn't cross I've spent £20 on another pushchair. But baggins will need one for anothe couple of years...

DH gone back to bed, thinks he has my cold

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 03/11/2008 11:56

Surely no one can complain at spending £20 on a pushchair?

Jamlet howled when I left her nursery I rang in after about 2 hours or so and they said she had settled fairly well, had had plenty of toast at snacktime and had progressed from needing to be held to playing with toys as long as she was near staff. She keeps watching her friend there apparently so is obviously getting some comfort from a familiar face We took her in a little later than she will normally go and I am finishing early today to give her a shorter day while she gets used to it, so hopefully she'll enjoy the rest of the day there.

Riallybigbangandflash · 03/11/2008 12:43

she might be a bit "hmm, another pushchair" as I keep buying 2nd hand ones (this will be the 4th for baggins, but they have all been £5-£40 and I have sold all but one on.) He seemed so much cosier yesterday in our 3 wheeler than the McClaren buggy. But the puncture my Dad mended came back straight away so it's had it (it was only £25 for DS2). I suppose I feel guilty because it's not an essential expense. But I paid our of my paypal account so it doesn't matter too much.

Jamlet sounds ok then jammy, that's not too bad for her first day.

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 03/11/2008 13:17

As long as you're not spending more than you can afford I wouldn't worry about it, "hun"

LittleMissNorty · 03/11/2008 13:51

Hello ladies

Jammy....sure DD will be fine. It's horrible when they howl like that isn't it? I don't do the drop-off any more but she howls when I leave for work - and that's bad enough.......perhaps just peep through the window when you get there later before she sees you? I do this sometimes, and its very reassuring to see how happy DD is.

I have 2 pushchairs as well Ria - although only use one - and need to get a double soon....

JBM...how are you today? {{{hugs}}} for you.

Anyone heard from Daisy?

FrazzledFairyFay · 03/11/2008 13:58

So sorry JBM . It's shame you don't live closer to us, we need some painting done.

Hello eveyone. Any news on Daisy?

Ohforfoxsake · 03/11/2008 15:43

I haven't heard anything today - she said she might be coming home today.

She did text a photo of the wee lad.

Betcha all now!

Riallybigbangandflash · 03/11/2008 16:06

pah, favouritism that is. WHat about regional loyalty hey. Is all well and DS2 (I'll never tireof that) out of the incubator now foxy?

Just wanted you all to know, that despite the febreze (which will wash off) and the "free" empty bakery bags , this hunni is DEAD CHUFFED with her new pushchair. (My lovely Dad just dropped it off. It is a bit massive, but is good and solid for winter. Might need another LO now to get my moneys worth

Ohforfoxsake · 03/11/2008 16:09

Ah Ria, you'd only want another one if you saw him ....

and you'll be wanting to get your moneys worth out of that pushchair

so about that poor goth girl. It makes me , and that it happened at all. Most of all it scares me though.

Riallybigbangandflash · 03/11/2008 16:20

It is stupid. Because, if Goths are supposed to be intimidating when they are actually probably the nicest people then why attack them verbally or otherwise? I try not to think about those kind of things, it is not a good plan when you have kids I find

so any suggestions where I can get accessories for my mew toy? it doesn't have a shopping basket (which is OK cos the McClaren one fits) and it has a bar at the back that looks like it would stand a pannier type thing. Baggins loves it cos it's really high up. (I will shut up soon.) I'm off to clean it in a minute - DH is on a shift at the hotel again. (so he will be over his allowed hours, but so long as he budgets for the deductions it should be fine) wha to do though... should I sell the McClaren or keep it for summer? suppose I need to check the new one in the boot first.
