Thought as the messages were coming in thick & fast I´d start new thread. Don´t know if it´ll work though. Fingers crossed.

I wanted to do takeaway - easier on shopping night...but should cook if i have food here really.

FrankenSoph73 · 23/10/2008 11:37

Gosh Scorpio 2 weeks half term??? I thought we were lucky in getting a full week. I'm at a loss as to what to do for dinner as well, can't really afford to order another takeaway this week. Sam likes chicken, am trying him on red meat at the weekend.

Sorry, don't know what happened there. I know what you mean, I always feel a little guilty if I do have food in the house & I do but just can't get inspired. Will have to search for some recipes and see what takes my fancy!

Oh Scorpio, you won't believe what I've done again???!!! You know that ebay link you sent me for the bugaboo travel case??? Wellll, last night I thought (and I didn't even drink!!!) that there was 2 days left, so thought I'll watch it and put in offer this morning. However, when I checked this morning it's already closed! What is it with me and ebay? I'm rubbish! Thanks so much for thinking of me, much appreciated.

scorpio1 · 23/10/2008 13:09

someone must have bought it Sal because it did have 2 days left! Will see if i can find another

scorpio1 · 23/10/2008 13:09

Here it is

scorpio1 · 23/10/2008 13:10

there are 2 more but they are £90

SalLikesCoffee · 23/10/2008 13:29

Thank you very much! Not sure about whether I want to pay that much, but will have a proper think about it. It is a lot cheaper than new... Hmm.

My laptop is annoying me today, as it keeps overheating and then shutting down. I think the fan is stuck, will get dh to open it up for me tonight. Luckily he's really good at that kind of thing.

FrankenSoph73 · 23/10/2008 13:39

OP posts:
SalLikesCoffee · 23/10/2008 13:44

Coke Soph, it'll make you feel better! (As in cola, not encouraging going off the rails here ) Jealous re the birthday cake btw.

scorpio1 · 23/10/2008 14:32

SalLikesCoffee · 23/10/2008 15:11

scorpio1 · 23/10/2008 15:23

lolololol no for thai boxing!

TheShipsCat · 23/10/2008 15:34

Hi all, and WELCOME BACK PFJ! (sagitta here)

Sorry to hear you've been ill, Sal - us too. We had friends and their 2 yr old here at the weekend, and we all got a vomiting virus, which was pretty grim. It kept the washing machine busy anyway. A is just getting better now, thankfully. DD1 was fine, still grinning while chundering!

About what to wear, A has a woolly poncho which is great, as you can keep her hands inside, and its a doddle to put on/ take off.

Knitter, hope its good news on the house.

VS, you're probably not reading this, but hope all is well and that you can come back soon.

MommyHasaHeadache · 23/10/2008 15:36

Did anyone see the Kerry Katona interview the other day? Off her head or really the medication?!

FrankenSoph73 · 23/10/2008 16:00

Scorpio - that's alright then
Where's Peachy's quote?
TSC - pleased you're all better, can't imagine anything worse than the whole family being sick, makes me gag just thinking about it
MHaH - am going to look at that interview now & will report back

OP posts:
FrankenSoph73 · 23/10/2008 16:05

MHaH - difficult to say really, I'd go with off her head and obviously the medication doesn't help

OP posts:
SalLikesCoffee · 23/10/2008 18:20

I think she's a nutcase tbh - i'd go for probably a combination of drink and meds.

Whooh TSC, all my (belated) sympathy. It's bad enough when you're on your own!

Poncho great idea - off to search for something similar but non-girly.

Dh just came home with a footmuff. Now we can face the weather outside. This is typical, I always leave everything to the last minute, and then it's (of course) sold out everywhere I look. One day, when I grow up, I'll be organised. Promise. The weird thing is that I used to be extremely organised at work, it just never seemed to seep through to my personal life... And now my excuse of being so exhausted from work doesn't even apply anymore! Sigh.

SalLikesCoffee · 23/10/2008 18:34

Can't find Peachy's post either (and for some reason didn't get the weekly e-mail - might have gone to spam and deleted by mistake)

Peachy · 23/10/2008 19:28

Peachy · 23/10/2008 19:30

SalLikesCoffee · 23/10/2008 19:31

oh peachy, that is just gorgeous! i love it. probably wouldn't work with me as my arms are a bit flabby at the moment, but will work great on your figure. it's actually one of the nicest dresses i've seen in a while.

SalLikesCoffee · 23/10/2008 19:34

oh, to add, i'd just make sure you wear really good underwear (korset type or something in that line)
