glad you're feeling a bit better leaky - long may it last!

J always seems to have a bug of some sort SPB, I've just resigned myself to it now and am lucky to have a fab nursery who take him so long as he's not being sick. Really hope that T stays well for a bit longer now

Welcome back bubblez
Due months - vio in November
twinkle? in December
elkiedee and oooggs in January (26 and 30 respectively)
Leaky - April, I think

But we're well behind the May 2007 thread, with two babies born in July and a bunch more due between December and March

SharpMolarBear · 29/10/2008 17:49

and you're not alone with the not sleeping through thing

Eddas · 29/10/2008 18:19

hi bubblz, nice to see you

dh has just come home with news....................

he's been offered an assistant manager job at a rival firm, without even going for an interview we don't know details on salary etc yet, he's going tomorrow for a chat, but if all is ok he'll take it as he's had serious issues wth his place for quite a while. yipee!

I'm not sure if I mentioned, but I had the same thing on friday, got a call from someone who knows one of the client's at work and wanted to know if I was interested in talking further on a part time position she has! I want to stay put though so she said to call if ever I'm thinking of changing jobs

been a weird old week..........

SharpMolarBear · 29/10/2008 18:26

fantastic eddsa hope it all works out

bubblez · 29/10/2008 20:11

Hello elkie and eddas

Oh and belated congrats to Twinkle too

Congrats to your DH eddas Gin

Oh I look forward to hearing all about your pgnancies... so everyone has passed nausea trimester and is onto kicking internal organ stages then?!?! does anyone know the sex of their bump yet?

SMB-seriously sometimes i think it is just me! Like maybe ive done something wrong, dd1 sleep from 12pm to 7am from 6weeks.... its been so long i dont remember what its like to not have to wake up in the middle of the night at least twice lol. Ive made all the excuses for her "must be wind", "must be teething", "maybe she's hungry", "too cold/hot", i think i have to resign myself to the fact that there is no reason as such it is just routeen. i know it sounds bad but its quite comforting to knw its not just me... fingers crossed that by the time our dc's reach two they'll finally learn the value of an unbroken nights sleep

elkiedee · 29/10/2008 20:14

Eddas, sounds exciting for your dh, hope what they're offering is worth moving jobs for.

SharpMolarBear · 29/10/2008 20:15

DS has 75 teeth
Or must do by now the length of time he has been "teething"
Send some of those pigs this way

Sexonlegs · 29/10/2008 20:32

Evening all

Bubblez, lovely to see you, and glad all is well.

Eddas, sounds like things are going really well for you. Fabulous! Did you get a clock btw?

SMB, how is T doing today? pmsl at 75 teeth!

POTC, glad you are having fun

Leaky, delighted to hear you are feeling less rough.

Liath, I remember you talking about your poor dd and her fright at fireworks. I hate the effing things for the same reason, although B didn't take to our bed thankfully.

How is everyone else?

All ok here. My Mum is making fab progress. She has eaten for the first time in over a week today (has been on a gastro-nasal feed for days) and has been sat in a chair for a few hours. She is weak and exhausted, but hardly surprising. I spent an hour with her yesterday at hospital and then spent time with Dad and we had dinner together which was lovely. So, positive stuff. Just need to see the results re her lymph glands now and take it from there.

Dh away until midnight tomorrow Been hectic with the girls today!!

CaptainDippy · 30/10/2008 07:20

Sounds really positive SOL So pleased at her progress. Hope you cope ok with DH away > MY DH is going away next week - dreading it, yuk

Hey bubblez!! Great to "see" you

Hope T is heaps better today SMB

Sounds really promising about the job Eddas Let us know progress ....

DH off again today DD2 at nursery all day & DD3 there this pm. I'm taking DD1 to a friends this am and then DH & I are taking her out this pm - It'll be so nice to have her on her own for a change Any idea what we should do!!?

Bramshott · 30/10/2008 10:15

Ah-ha Bubblez, we have sucked you back in! I've often wondered how you were doing as T was born the same day as O. Glad to hear it's going okay (apart from the sleep thing ).

SOL - good to hear your news. Glad it is all going as well as can be expected.

Dippy - when I have just N, I try to think of things that would be difficult to do with O in tow, so we sometimes go swimming (yesterday pm for example - brrrrr), or out for civilised coffee and a cake, or to the museum. Have a lovely afternoon whatever you do - it's such a treat to have just one of them isn't it?!

O has turned from the world's champion sleeper into a bit of a crap one these past few weeks - screams blue murder when I try to put her to bed, then awake quite often between 3.30 and 4.30 and won't settle. I think it's teeth probably, but the trouble is, because she's always been so good, I struggle to know what to do to resettle her. She won't have her cuddly bear, just keeps throwing him back at me . I give Calpol if I think she's really in pain, but apart from that just sit next to her cot holding and stroking her hand until she calms down. Am a bit worried that this is going to undo all the good work we did with CC when she was 6 months old though , so I'm really hoping this is just a blip.

Better go and do some work now while N is in front of the TV. Have promised her we'll make a pumpkin lantern later on, and then have a friend with a little one O's age coming for tea. Brrrr, it's cold!

SharpMolarBear · 30/10/2008 12:45

hi everyone
SOL, glad your mum is doing well
Dippy, hope your DD1 only afternoon is going well
Bramshott, hope O's sleep gets better. FWIW even though T is generally a bad sleeper he does have little blips which do sort themselves out (normally when I'm getting desperate and thiking they won't)

Doobydoo · 30/10/2008 14:33

That is great news SOLHope all aare ok today.Very windy and cold over here.

elkiedee · 30/10/2008 14:39

So T is a baby crocodile?

D woke up at 5.45 this morning, the latest this week so far. I'm hoping that extra 15 minutes or so is a good sign. I delivered a sleeping child to the CM for the 3rd morning in a row.

SharpMolarBear · 30/10/2008 15:05

what time do you go to work?
Baby piranha I think when he bites

cazboldy · 30/10/2008 18:38

Welcome back Bubblez

SOL - So glad your Mum is making progress

Dooby - You would only be about an hour and a half away from me then!

Gotta go, back later.........

cazboldy · 30/10/2008 18:52

back already

I have been swimming with mil this afternoon...... It is the first time ever she has actually been somewhere and done something with my dc!

but it was actually surprisingly ok!

and then afterwards have been to cuddle my new baby nephew. He is soooo gorgeous!

Somebody slap me!

PillockOfTheCommunity · 30/10/2008 20:10

Evening all

We are still in wet Wales, have changed plans now and not going home tomorrow, going down to the South West (and calling in on Pesha again!) for the weekend.

Have found a fab hotel chain, rates are fab and they've put me in the family room even though I've booked a double in both hotels, and only charged the double rate. This one has a double bed and 2 singles, and room for the travel cot!

SharpMolarBear · 30/10/2008 20:28

Broody caz - go for it!
Hi Pillock

elkiedee · 30/10/2008 20:43

SMB, I've been taking D to CM at about 9 am so more than 3 hours after he's woken up, always mean to be earlier (8.15-8.30 ideally) but I'm just so tired at the moment. So long as I get into work for 10 it's fine, and I've only been late once since I went back, borderline a couple of times. That's a huge improvement on before he was born! Over recent months I've been getting there any time between 9.30 and 9.55, but that's also about waiting for trains where I can get a seat etc - I always used to have to get the first train that came in the bad old days.

Caz, you're not getting broody again?

POTC, glad you're having such a good time, enjoy your weekend too.

SharpMolarBear · 30/10/2008 20:52

oh i see I thought you meant before he woke up in the morning - 5ish!!
