tew there is also the possibility that it is night terrors if it continues ds2 had night terrors from 8 months and used to do the same thing, but i would visit the doctor to rule out anything else.or poss a wee infection, but then i would have thought she would be miserable in the day too.

Spongebob · 13/07/2005 20:45

Anyone having a first Birthday Party?

jessicaandbumpsmummy · 13/07/2005 20:47

YEP!

24th July..... sandwiches, cake and icecream followed by a BBq for us adults!!!

Nothing special, just the family round for an afternoon in the garden! Paddling pool will be out and toys etc on the grass!

Spongebob · 13/07/2005 20:48

MrsEvs · 14/07/2005 04:06

Hi all, I haven't checked this thread in ages - congrats to all the newly pg mums

I can't believe Phoebe is going to be one either. 27th of July. So excited about coming home now. We fly to the UK on Saturday (and arrive Sunday). MIL is throwing a birthday party for Pheebs and she's so excited about it, it's really sweet. (Phoebe is grandchild number 1 for dh's parents - no. 8 of 9 for mine!)

We're going to be in the UK for a blissful 3 weeks, not returning until August 5th, then on Aug 11th we're heading off to San Francisco for 5 days. By the end of that trip Phoebe will have been on 19 planes

I'm so looking forward to having someone to babysit so I can actually go out. Plus since our wedding anniversary is the day after Phoebe's birthday and we spent the last one in the hospital, we might actually go off and stay in a hotel for a night or something which would be great! Maybe even try for number 2 while we're at it

sweetkitty · 14/07/2005 17:23

6 days to go till 1st birthday got all her presend, have ordered the cake, just need to get about 100 balloons!! Dp thinks I'm mad, it's his birthday today so better make a fuss of him a bit.

Got out the camcorder and looked at last Christmas OMG, Abbie was a chubby little baby who lay under her playgym, she's a little girl now the change is amazing. Can't quite believe this Christmas I'll be ready to pop with number 2. Am very excited can't wait, although I know it will be v hard work but fun too.

jessicaandbumpsmummy · 14/07/2005 18:37

10 days til jess's birthday..... need baloons and a "1" candle.... other than that we are done!!!

All presents bought and wrapped, she got her first card through the post today from my aunty who is going on holiday on saturday.

Springchicken · 15/07/2005 10:19

Well it's Evie's birthday tomorrow and .
that she is 1 and is going to be having a party. She is sooo funny now, i sit at home in hysterics watching her sometimes.

that my little baby isn't a little baby anymore.

I never understood it when people said it goes so quickly but it really does. I cannot blieve she is 1 already, it has flown past.

spacecadet · 17/07/2005 15:24

springchicken 14 years ago my first july baby had just been born and it only seems like yesterday!
emily will be one on weds..she has changed so much, she gives you kisses and says ta, she has attempted to walk. she knows her own mind and has a temper. she will officially be a toddler on weds, the end of babyhood..but shes so much fun now, shes really cheeky and deliberately does stuff to make you laugh..im just dreading the day she learns to say..no, i want that..dont want to and why.lol!!

Springchicken · 18/07/2005 10:04

Well we had a great day even though DD was poorly! Had to take her to the doctors yesterday as she has an ear infection and conjunctive itus Poor little mite.

She absolutely loved her bouncy castle and has been throwing herself about on the sofa to try and create the same effect.
Got spoilt rotten by all of aunties and uncles, nanny, grandad and granny.
Had a lovely day yesterday setting up all of her toys and playing with everything.

Can't believe my little baby isn't a baby anymore

jessicaandbumpsmummy · 18/07/2005 10:05

birthday party cancelled..... really now. will let you all know the details once i have stopped blubbing!

Springchicken · 18/07/2005 10:12

Oh no JABM......... is everything OK................

Well, obviously notbut i hope iot's nothing serious!

jessicaandbumpsmummy · 18/07/2005 10:14

no nothing serious..... just when you spend ages planning something and then things happen to stop people coming, it kinda gets you down.

Dad has to go away at 10am on her birthday, and my bro is having an operation saturday so wont be here..... just doesnt seem worth it, so a mummy daddy jessi day it is..... more jelly and ice cream for me i guess!

Springchicken · 18/07/2005 10:21

Must be horrible, i would've been gutted if all my preperation had been put to waste but at least you get all the hugs, kissed and giggles all to yourself.
And you don't have to share Jess with anyone on such a special day

All i kept saying all day Friday and Saturday was, this time last year........ this time last year......... bet i got on everyones nerves;)

spacecadet · 18/07/2005 13:36

springchicken i have been doing the same thing!saying oh this time last year i was about to go in to be induced etc! happy birthday to your little dd
jessandbumpsmummy, if its any consolation, your little girl wont know any diff and she will have a fab day with mummy and daddy
i have been feeling weepy today..as its emily's nirthday on weds and i will just get up and take ds to pre-school as normal, the 2 eldest will go to school and i will sit at home like a sad muppet, ok so emily doesnt know its her birthday but she wont even see her daddy..shes in bed by the time he comes home, it will just be me watching her open her pressies, bought acake and a banner and some balloons but whats the point in putting them up etc?? i feel quite depressed about it.

spacecadet · 18/07/2005 13:37

Thinknig of you all xxx

sweetkitty · 19/07/2005 13:58

Happy birthday all the babies having birthdays soon, was there something in the air this time last year?

Speaking of which this time last year I had no idea what was going to happen later on that evening (waters breaking at 6.30pm) driving DP mad going "this time last year" as well. By the time we wake up tomorrow it will all have been over as DD was born in the early hours of the morning.

Still in denial my baby is a year tomorrow. We've got the cake, pressies and balloons, everythings ready. We are going out for lunch with grandparents etc.

spacecadet · 19/07/2005 19:22

sweetkitty, this time last year i was in hospital being induced, waters broke at 5.30 am on the 20th and went into labour at 7.00am, dd was born at 8.31 am on 20th july 2004, after a 1.5 hour labour and 20- mins of pushing!
cant believe it was a year ago.
dd will open her pressies tomorrow norning before dh goes to work, then its just a normal day im afraid as family are 230 miles away and i have no friends.
however weare going to wales on friday and dm has organised a belated family birthday bbq
