this is the only link I could find Holly.

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Ohforfoxsake · 18/10/2008 21:14

which thread?? come on, we need to know!

LackaDAISYcal · 18/10/2008 21:15

tis the NCT sale one. I have offered my support in a non commital sitty on the fence type way, but I fear she may have opened a can of worms now.......

I think she has a point, but otoh...?

one of our local cinemas does a regualr parent and carer viewing; I might take DD.

Ohforfoxsake · 18/10/2008 21:17

I looked at that. Only read the OP, but thought she had a fair point. Am going back now to see what's been going on.

LackaDAISYcal · 18/10/2008 21:19

bumper, you should take out a separate suit, suing them for the emotional dostress caused to both you and your DD!

It's a pity that you didn't get the end to BF that you wanted though . I still feel a bit glum about my end to it. hopefully I'll be able to keep going for longer with Virgil.

DH has taken to the sofa with a blanket.....he is not very well at all, bless him

Has anyone seen the "gelding" thread title. I had to hide it as it was putting me off my dinner

Bloodystumperlicious · 18/10/2008 21:24

I wish we could daisy.

DH was just about to watch a programme called "Britain's biggest babies" "with scenes of childbirth and surgery". I just said "er, you're not watching that are you?" and he just grumbled "well, I'm not now". No way Jose, I don't want labour flashbacks!

Bloodystumperlicious · 18/10/2008 21:27

God, I better go, he's now watching "The Most Annoying TV" list show. It can only be removed by handing over the laptop. Night ladies xxx

HollyWeen · 18/10/2008 21:28

Bumper . I sort of came to the end of bfing before I wanted to with dd too, so I know how you feel. I still feel a bit sad about it now, but it does get easier.

I think your rl friend should just have volunteered daisy. I volunteered at the last one here. Yes we did get all the best stuff, but it took all of my day and it was hard work. Surely there must be perks to volunteering otherwise we would never get so many people helping? I would have helped anyway, in my new role as NCT dogsbody, but lots of people wouldn't have and it would have been even more hard work for the regular helpers. We did get free donuts as well though, which helped!

HollyWeen · 18/10/2008 21:29

Britain's biggest babies? No-one asked me to be on it!

LackaDAISYcal · 18/10/2008 21:32

fair point holly.

no doubt I will be helping out at the next one when I get myself organised for the BFC course.

I have period pains.....and a very slight pinkish discharge.

LackaDAISYcal · 18/10/2008 21:33

DS and I watched Home Birth Stories earlier today; he was fascinated.

JammyOLantern · 18/10/2008 21:34

Daisy, is this the start of something?

justbeme · 18/10/2008 21:37

Evening!
Ohh Daisy - sounds promising!! You do have someones mobile no on here to text updates don't you??

DP brought home a Little Tikes cosy Coupe car from work yesterday that his customer didnt want - L just loves it!!!! They really are growing into toddlers now though arent they??

Bumper - sorry to hear about the BF - did you get really engorged at the beginning of FT work??

Jammy - did you say if DH liked his Daddy morning??

JammyOLantern · 18/10/2008 21:46

No JBM, I didn't say (sorry) and yes he did. Enough to go again at any rate (it's monthly). But you know what's unfair? When us Mums take the LOs we get a cup of tea or coffee. The Dads? They get BACON SANDWICHES!!!

LackaDAISYcal · 18/10/2008 21:48

probably not, but at least things are progressing in the right direction

I have a few of your phone numbers...I'll do a group text don't worry

I'm sure by the time this baby arrives you'll be sick of my inane questions; I've never gone into labour naturally before so am a first timer in that respect!

LackaDAISYcal · 18/10/2008 21:52

at the bacon sarnies jammy. Is this where you are volunteering? will you have the power to influence equal rights for mums.

You could try chaining yourself to the railings

TALLULAHBELLE · 18/10/2008 21:56

How are you feeling about the prospect of natural delivery Daisy? I am wondering t'other way, what would it be like to have e/c for example.

JammyOLantern · 18/10/2008 21:56

Yes Daisy, it's where I'm going to be volunteering. And that's a good point! I think though it's a necessary bribe to get the Dad's out. But DH said it was OK, and he even spoke to some other Dads

justbeme · 18/10/2008 21:59

Jammy, our childrens centre give bacon sarnies to the Dads too!! I thought maybe L was abit too young for them to go yet?? what did they do today??

Daisy - PLEASE don't let my mc stop you from talking about EVERY twinge. I hated the fact that when I was expecting DD1, there was a lady at our local who made it very clear that she was deeply upset by me being PG as she had failed IVF. So much so, that I couldn't enjoy being pregnant when around her (she ran out the room in tears after guessing that I was PG) and almost felt ashamed. I really am happy for you and truly am not upset by your comments.

Sputnik · 18/10/2008 21:59

Evening
You've all disappeared now, haven't you?

LackaDAISYcal · 18/10/2008 22:00

I'm feeling OK about it tallulah, although I was telling DH the other day how much I enjoyed the early part of my labour with DS (he just looked at me like )...then I had a nippy BH and was in floods of tears

My elective was actually lovely, very calm and relaxed and the staff were fab. It was the recovery I had problems with. If you can labour naturally though, will you?

My SIL had her twins (6lbers both of em) naturally.

TALLULAHBELLE · 18/10/2008 22:00

How sexist Jammy!. Still, I s'pose dad's need more an incentive to do these sorts of things. At our school the female taechers pay for their lunch if they get it from the dinner school but the dinner ladies give the male teachers theirs for free & a double portion. Bloody cheek of it!

LackaDAISYcal · 18/10/2008 22:01

thanks jbm . I'm just aware that it is a sensitive issue.

but you will be sick of me by the end, I have no doubts

TALLULAHBELLE · 18/10/2008 22:04

The only thing I have really decided is that I want them both out the same way. So if both not in best position for natural birth then I'd go elective. Is my biggest worry that first twin will be born naturaly then will need emerg sect for 2nd one.But no one has talked to me about my options & I don't know if this is an unlikely scenario or a common enough fear.

Sputnik · 18/10/2008 22:06

Tallulah, have you been over to the multiples threads? They sound a lovely lot and could probably help you out with things like your co-sleeping questions.

justbeme · 18/10/2008 22:10

X Factor beckons!!

Night night x
