morning trace.

full of cold and finishing the pumpkins today.

DH has just gone for an interview. Sadly not the swanky fine dining hotel from last week, but a bit of a run-down looking pub in town just down the coast. But it's an interview, he could get it becuase they sounded desparate (and he needs a boost) and it is in the same town as the swanky hotel, so there's always the jungle drum aspect to think of.

and no doubt today, because I actually have some bread, there will be no extras for lunch

lol elvira; and most of the stuff I know has been gleaned from here

My AN ladies were saying what a know it all font of all knowledge I was the other day

Had a horrible night here , or I'm nor sure. Anyway woke up four times with pains but getting up and walking around stopped them, and have had a couple more this morning. Usually BHs don't start till mid afternoon, so it all seems to be stepping up a gear!

Oooooo Daisy, maybe this is IT. Keep us informed......

LackaDAISYcal · 28/10/2008 11:25

I've just had a BIG BIG bitey one. When can I stop calling them BHs and start calling them contractions? I've never done this bit before; I went from nothing to strong, relatively painless BH before my wates broke to full on contractions immediately after my waters broke with DH, and I was induced with prostin.

I know it's just gonna stop again though so trying not to get excited.

RiallyEeRiaee · 28/10/2008 12:10

have you started timing yet daisy?

I went from ringing the hospital who said to "you better get yourself here NOW" when I got through again 20 mins later. What's the traffic like on your route?

Am outwardly glad it's you and not me (but sectrely wistful)

Oooh, Daisy. Is Virgil on the way? Even if it is just a temparary thing, it is a bit nearer to him saying hello! Very exciting!!!

Bad news here this morning though. DH's work has gone into liquidation So (probably) no October pay, and definitely no redundancy pay, which was due at the end of this week, when he finishes work. So that's about £6k evaporated just like that. I am and all at once. I haven't heard from him since 9am when he told me this, so not sure how he's doing, which is stressing me a little.

LackaDAISYcal · 28/10/2008 12:19

Oh, jammy that's awful . But also a little bit about it as they must have had an inkling about this when they foirst offered the redundancies.

DH has just said though that he thinks statutory redundancy (ie a months pay for every year of service after two years up to a maximum amount) is paid by the goverment and should be secured. You'd need to look it up though as he isn't 100% certain.

Arses though. I hope Mr Jammy is OK

Had a shower and it's all calmed down again, like I thought it would. But it's all to the greater good I suppose. Since virgil dropped specatacularly yesterday none of my t-shirts are covering my bump anymore; looks delightful .

Off to make stovies with DS; he is learning to cook and stovies is a huge part of his cultural heritage (the scottish contingent will know what I mean )

JammyOLantern · 28/10/2008 12:34

Yes, I forgot to add to my list of emotions. Just spoken to DH. He's at home, with a load of technical books he took from the office, swotting up for some technical tests a company he sent his CV to wants him to do. So fingers crossed. And he tells me it's more like £9k gone, not £6k. I didn't realise how much he earned Bugger, bugger, bugger!

LackaDAISYcal · 28/10/2008 12:46

there might still be a chance jammy? I'm not sure how these things work but if there is any money left after the creditors have got their hands on it then he might get something. Although to my mind that is soooo wrong and staff should be paid before anything else.

RiallyEeRiaee · 28/10/2008 12:49

oh bollocks for Mr Jammy. that really stinks.

DHs interview a waste of time too, he says it was a dump (I knew that already but wasn't telling) and he doesn't expect to hear as they thought he was overqualified. You would think that if someone over-qualified was willing to work for what they were offering they would jump at it wouldn't you.

Oh Jammy that really is BAD news - what a horrible day for you both.

Re the Clexane - apparently the molecules are too big to transfer t breast milk - so all is well!!

Daisy - wow!! I thought 2nd time around I'd know when to go to hospital - but I panicked and went in far too early. I'd wait til the pains get really painful - mine were fairly bearable.

justbeme · 28/10/2008 13:23

Trace - can I ask, did the bruising from the injections disappear eventually or are you scarred from it??

Off to have my Chicken and brocolli lasagne Ive just cooked - then work later
Take care all and Daisy good luck if IT happens tonight!

Sputnik · 28/10/2008 14:02

Glad you have the all clear JBM

Jammy that really sucks

RiallyEeRiaee · 28/10/2008 14:15

just thought I'd tell you we have a a few flakes of snow

OP posts:
LackaDAISYcal · 28/10/2008 14:28

One of my AN ladies said that too Ria ; she lives on the edge of Cannock Chase in Staffs.

just cold and damp and dull here; no snow, but I saw some forecast for the NE of Scotland.

LackaDAISYcal · 28/10/2008 14:28

great news on the clexane jbm

RiallyEeRiaee · 28/10/2008 14:32

I'm bored again. DS1s friend has come round to decorate his pumpkin and there's fecking seeds everywhere. Ours is not getting done, DS1 more interested in his friend and DS2 watching them. I started tidying the shelves DH is meant to be doing but got bored.

ARSE.
think I might try to find some photos to put in the frame I got for my birthday - in March[blush

RiallyEeRiaee · 28/10/2008 15:24

OK, now it is properly snowing. Am glad I didn't go to town with DH.

I am because I managed to remember my access code and password for my paypal card, so I can spend some of my funds now. Yippee. Need to find more stuff to sell so I can spend even more (the Wii fund is forgotten, need retail therapy)
