Glad to hear your apointment went well Daisy

LackaDAISYcal · 27/10/2008 20:45

evening. I'm here and having regular tightenings and have the most godawful backache and periody type pains. I'm sitting here trying to play scrabble and the words just keep floating in front of me, as I feel all spaced out and distracted.

Had a very odd experience earlier; I was carrying DD earlier and I went to sit on the sofa to change her, and as I sat down (with legs splayed...nice!!) I felt my pubis symphisis joint actually twanging, like it was pulled apart and then it clunked back in again (like knuckles being cracked). I was , but although I could feel that something had happened, it wasn't actually sore as such. Anyway, DH came and helped me up and...hey presto SPD pain has GONE

so, we went to the park and had a good long walk, and I took DD for a wee spin on DSs scooter , and although I feel like I've overdone things, the SPD is still gone. But, I think virgil's head has gone even deeper in my pelvis as the backache and period pains are horrible this evening.

swings and roundabouts I suppose. I'm now sitting here thinking, is this the start of something, as I'm getting pretty regular tightenings, but am erring on the side of it being down to overdoing things in the usual stop/start fashion of this pregnancy.

Feel very odd though

LackaDAISYcal · 27/10/2008 20:48

glad DD got to brownies elvira

and at them just buggering off and leaving their DD with you Ria; maybe she assumed that her DD would be with you for the day?

Hey sputnik; how is DH? None the worse for his ordeal I hope?

JammyOLantern · 27/10/2008 20:56

Evening all. Had yummy thai fish curry tonight, using some fish we found in th freezer from January 2008 and Dec 2007!

JammyOLantern · 27/10/2008 21:02

Ria, when the woman left her DD with you, did she say she was going out, or did you just find out later that she had gone?

Elvira, what other games did the brownies play?

Sputnik · 27/10/2008 21:06

That's funny about the SPD Daisy.

DH has been rushing about trying to get a new passport and may be off tomorrow.

DD threw a wooden train at Baby Sputnik today, he has a huge bruise and a bit of a cut, I was really livid. They had been seeming to get on better recently too. The thing is, wheras the baby got over it after 10 minutes, she was still crying 1/2 an hour later for having been told off

Hello all

Guess what - I got a BFP!! Due around the same time as L's 2nd birthday (July). and feel honoured as your the 1st to know!

Been to the recurrent miscarriage clinic today and they've put me on Clexane and I have to inject myself everyday for the whole pregnancy into my stomach. But.... Ive just read the leaflet and it says to not take it if your breastfeeding! I can't believe it!!

Sputnik · 27/10/2008 21:17

Wow, congratulations JBM
Sending you buckets of stickiness.
Is there anyone you can talk to tomorrow about the bf thing?

JammyOLantern · 27/10/2008 21:22

Yay, congratulations JBM!

LackaDAISYcal · 27/10/2008 21:22

Wow jbm.....congratulations

It's made me feel all weepy and hormonal

Come on over and join us on the knicker checker's thread, there are a few with similar issues and taking various things who can offer good support and advice.

Re the clexane; check with the Breastfeeding Network's drugs helpline. Just because it says no on the patient leaflet that came with the drug doesn't necessarily mean it can't be taken; just that it isn't licensed for BFing.

justbeme · 27/10/2008 21:23

Thanks Sputnik!!
Yes i can call the midwife tomorrow. But i just found a thread and someone on there said it was ok, but I will double check!!

LackaDAISYcal · 27/10/2008 21:23

And there is some more information here

Thanks for the sites ladies - You're full of good advice!!

Yes Im still bf at 15+mths. Wouldn't you think they'd ask before prescribing - but then again the NHS probably don't think along those lines. Same thought process as Hollys HV no doubt!!

JammyOLantern · 27/10/2008 21:32

OK, quick bath then bed for me. Hope I get a bit more of a lie in tomorrow, Jamlet was up at 6.10 today

LackaDAISYcal · 27/10/2008 21:33

BIG congrats JBM. Will keep it all crossed for you.

Wierd about the SPD Daisy. Tho' when I had it last pg the physio checked & said my ps joint was a bit out of alignment. Maybe when you sat down the way you did, something that was out of place sorted itself - a bit like a dislocated shoulder iyswim.

congratulations jbm

tbh the mother did come and ask if we minded (on both occasions she went out), but she didn't ask if we would feed her dd, and she was home about 1/2 hours before she came and said she was back. Not sending my DS round there.
