arse for your weekend Ria, sounds a nightmare.

good to have you back though

DD is howling. She is so tired she can hardly keep her eyes open, but we had a visit from a friend this evening (single bloke, no kids.....always comes over on his way home from work which also happens to be bedtime and never takes the hint inspite of several direct "right kids time for bed" and will just sit chatting!) and he always winds them up, in a good way, but ykwim!

have given up and got her back out of bed, as DS has just come downstairs and told me that I don't care about her

JammyOLantern · 22/10/2008 20:19

Well Dh is working late, I am cold, and tired, and poorly, so I am off to bed.

Ohforfoxsake · 22/10/2008 20:37

Night Jammy

Wise move Daisy, when its going tits up, take the easy option (that's what I mean about being outnumbered and giving in - when you have 3 it becomes a distinct option in all circumstances!)

Sputnik · 22/10/2008 21:13

Actually Daisy that's quite sweet of your DS

RiallyEeRiaee · 22/10/2008 21:17

night jammy.

I forgot my best moan! (How could I???) On Monday I went to the surestart childrens centre with another friend as it was the last session of the course she asked me to go to. It turns out the week before the tutor had been pushing adult education and had scheduled in a literacy and numeracy test for the session to try and get us all to sign up for classes. SHe told me my GCSEs were obselete . (fair enough if that's current government guidelines, but mine are not included). So I gave in and did her sodding tests. at the end when it was decided no-one minded their results being read out to the class. (sorry, being childish). She whispered "Ria got all the questions right on both tests"!!!! cheered me up no end that did. OK so it was only level 1, but just because I was at surestart it can NOT be automatically assumed I am thick. (serves me right for living in teenage pregnancy mecca does it not?)

Poor DD daisy, took ages to get DS2 and baggins to sleep (DH out). I will have to come up with a stragegy if when he is back at works fulltime. DS1 watched All Creatures Great and Small!

it is sweet, sputnik......he had his hands on his hips and was really cross, bless him

LackaDAISYcal · 22/10/2008 21:19

good for you on the test results Ria....show em what you're made of!

Ohforfoxsake · 22/10/2008 21:23

Well done Ria.

Forgot to say welcome back Ria

Is Fergus a scottish name? I quite like Fergus.

LackaDAISYcal · 22/10/2008 21:31

I claimed from DS being 6 weeks old, so doubt I'd qualify as I've probably had it already.

I've sold one of my prams .....my lovely, lovely McLaren techno but we don't really need it any more now we have the P&T.

Only another one to go, but we are going to use it as a mobile moses basket/crib for a while!

LackaDAISYcal · 22/10/2008 21:32

I like Fergus, and Aengus but again, they are both a shade too scottish for DH!

RiallyEeRiaee · 22/10/2008 21:36

Hi sputnik. I like fergus too. (haven't got to F in the book yet, started at the back)

I have lost the taskbar thingy from the bottom of my screen!?

TALLULAHBELLE · 22/10/2008 21:39

Too Scottish? Is that even possible? Well, I would draw the line at Hamish but only if my surname were McTavish.

RiallyEeRiaee · 22/10/2008 21:43

Not Hamish McBeth?
Duncan? (Am thinking Monarch of the Glen here)

I can only think of one person who is too Scottish. They are a friend of FIL. I will say No More.

Finn was in my list of names for ds, but dp vetoed it! He also vetoed Kit, my other fave name. Boo hiss to dp!

Ria, sounds like a shitty week, but good one on the test results! Bet you felt like going "nah, nah, nah, nah" and poking your tongue out!!

I'll tell my mum about that tax credits thing. My bro is only 21, so she'll prob be able to claim the £500. I expect she'll give it to me too, so everyone's a winner!!

Has anyone got one of those Cath Kidston bags from tesco? I got one yesterday and they only had this one. Has anyone else got any of the other prints? Also if anyone goes to Tesco and sees any of the other ones can they buy it for me please and I'll send you the money! I want all of them!!

HollyWeen · 22/10/2008 21:50

I'm going to love you and leave you all now, time for Heroes on BBC3! Nightie night! xxx

LackaDAISYcal · 22/10/2008 21:51

I had a friend at Uni who was so into Scotland and all things celtic and gaelic that his nickname was "really Runrig". He was from the outer hebrides and was a bit mad!

I love hamish and rhuaridh, but my BF bagged em first!!

LackaDAISYcal · 22/10/2008 21:55

holly, I've got that one and a blue spotty one. They are fab aren't they? DH rolls his eyes when I buy yet another eco carrier bag, but I keep pointing out to him that it is a much cheaper addiction, and more useable, than a penchant for Radley handbags

I'll keep an eye out for more. How many designs are there? I've seen one more.

Blardy BH contractions. I've had them all day today

Sputnik · 22/10/2008 21:56

Ria, I read books like that backwards too. Are you left-handed?

HollyWeen · 22/10/2008 21:59

They had a whole wall in my Tesco with the one design. I really want the green Ottoman Rose one (big rose pattern) and Pop Flowers (60's style flowers). Apparently she is bringing out a Christmas one too! Woohoo! It may have to take the place of my Radley Christmas bag!

Right I'm really going now, Heroes is just about to start! xxx

Oooo, double post mania! xxx

RiallyEeRiaee · 22/10/2008 21:59

Nope, not left handed. baggins is though, I think. I read magazines like that too.

Drew is nice. Lewin was a choice for baggins but that could be welsh, or cornish.

I miss choosing baby names
