I read things from the back too, mostly magazines, and although am not LH, I do have some LH traits!

RiallyEeRiaee · 22/10/2008 22:04

my parents are both LH. maybe that's why?

I am off to drink wine and watch Rory and Paddy with DH (because that sodding word game is annoying me)

It's good to be back

We are both just weird then Ria

TALLULAHBELLE · 22/10/2008 22:05

Ria we have no girl's names any more so feel free to draw up a long list. . Time for Desp H/W. Later folks.

LittleMissNorty · 22/10/2008 22:05

oh Ria what a shit weekend....

I've been at work from 7.30am till 5pm and also been working this evening....oh the joys of working part-time

Got a new work lap-top and its very hard to do proper work on it and not sit here in front of TV and MN ....up till now I've had to be anti-social and sit in the other room at the PC.

So the computer count in this house is currently 3 lap-tops, 1 server, 1 desktop PC and 2 PCs sitting on the floor in the garage

Right off to bed....night all x

Sputnik · 22/10/2008 22:08

Oh another weirdo

Actually arabic books are backwards like that, and the script is from right to left.

Sputnik · 22/10/2008 22:09

Damn, you beat us by 1 laptop Norty

LackaDAISYcal · 22/10/2008 22:13

DS exhibits LHness as well, like writing from right to left and the way he holds his cutlery, but says writing with his left hand is "uncomfortable". My brother is LH, as is DN1 and my Dad was ambidextrous.

LackaDAISYcal · 22/10/2008 22:15

three laptops (if you include DHs work one) one desktop and an EeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeePC, plus some old computer bits in the garage, and DH isn;t even into computers or works with them, so no fecking excuse. What is it about blokes and collecting bits of broken
/useless crap?

Sputnik · 22/10/2008 22:25

I am not counting the contents of our "computer museum" which, thankfully, has been relocated.

RiallyEeRiaee · 22/10/2008 22:26

we have masses of computer bits and useless crap. and empty boxes.(got bored so I came back. I have nearly a week to make up!)

all the stuff from our loft is still in the garage waiting to be sorted. I am going out tomorrow

JammyOLantern · 23/10/2008 07:35

Morning. DH got home at about 1.45am! Hope his new job (whatever that may be) doesn't include such demands.

Ria, well done on those tests!! I go to our local children's centre - didn't know they were aimed at thickies!

JammyOLantern · 23/10/2008 09:33

Secret Santa reminder!!!!
So far I have heard from Daisy, Bumper, Fairy, Ria and Elvira (I think, unless I've mismatched RL and MN names up in my head!)
If anyone else wants to join us then please let me know asap as, due to a request to get things sorted early to give those who wish to make stuff time to do, the Big Draw will be being done this coming weekend! So if you want to be in (and don't necessarily be put off by the whole making thing bit, I'm sure any form of gift will be appreciated) please send me your details (name and address) by email of FB today or tomorrow.

LackaDAISYcal · 23/10/2008 10:20

from trace

RiallyEeRiaee · 23/10/2008 10:36

aww, that's nice. Love traces halloween name.

I don't think childrens centres are solely aimed at thickies just the impression I got

Am not going out. Wonder if I can find something else to do so I don't have to do the loft boxes. Might go to the chippy for lunch.

Had a another theory re my rage. It could have been slimming-world-itis

LittleMissNorty · 23/10/2008 10:53

Oh that's lovely. Bought a tear to my eye....blardy hormones.

I am SO knackered today.....that's what two days work does to me. Feel very down today...prob cos I am so tired. I am sitting here, DD in bed, with a cuppa reading the thread when I was on holiday.....getting to the bit with everyone's suggestions for Holly's website name

I DO have better things to do....honest....just don't want to

LackaDAISYcal · 23/10/2008 11:01

Ria, I'm always grumoy when I start a diet. I think it's a blood sugar thing, so make sure you do green days and eat lots of (preferably) complex carbs!

DD is having a tantrum on the floor....lying on her tummy and kicking her feet and banging her fists, and I have no earthly idea why? It might have something to do with the raisins running out......

oh, got her one of those munchkin snack cups the other day; it is a huge success and is saving my carpet from having raisins trampled in.

Thought I had a MW appointment today as they have been on Thursdays since the early days......apparently this week it was Wednesday . So I have to wait till Monday and my hospital appointment. She didn't even ask how I was just snottily mentioned me changing my booking. Can't see that it's any skin off her nose where I give birth, but hey ho. I really hope that I have the baby before I need to see her again as I have been pretty disillusioned with her this pregnancy. I think she is just waiting to retire!

LackaDAISYcal · 23/10/2008 11:06

norty, take it easy. You are obviously doing the right thing and listening to your body telling you to rest. It's such a horrible day as well, snuggled in bed is the best place to be

DD was up in the night and then I couldn't get back to sleep so I'm knackered. She was having a dream and I thought she was awake but I realised the way she went limp that she was still asleep when I picked her up. Not sure if this affected what was happening in her dream or not but she started wriggling to get away and was screaming. It took me nearly 20 minutes to calm her down enough to be able to cuddle her in and she sobbed for another 10 minutes. It was quite upsetting. I hope this isn't the start of night terrors. DS used to get them really badly.

Anyhoo, I'm off to put her back to bed for a bit, but don't know whether to have a nap myself or do the hoovering?

RiallyEeRiaee · 23/10/2008 11:15

go with the nap. sod the hoovering

it could have been quorn allergy too (I do green days) maybe I should just eat/drink less and give up on the "diet" aspect. BUGGER.

hi norty.

OP posts:
LittleMissNorty · 23/10/2008 11:43

hoovering or nap......tough choice

sod the hoovering....

got counselling this afternoon....think I'm nearly at the end of my sessions.....fecking doctors won't give me an appointment more than 24 hours in advance in case I fuck up their targets, and mental health team don't see "patients who only have anxiety

Ria - starting a diet always makes me grumpy - and headaches.....but at least with SW you can stuff your face with bananas and fruit salad with Muller lights poured over the top.....and Stagg vegetable chilli mixed in with piles of pasta.....that's how I got through those first weeks of it.....for all the good it done me....I'm at my heaviest, even not pg .

I'm also in my last month of being 39

Blimey, sorry, am on a downer aren't I? I'll go and watch ITNG I think....Dereck Jacobi earning his living in such a moronic way always cheers me up!

LackaDAISYcal · 23/10/2008 12:07

Norty...it's my 40th at the beginning of February. I'm dreading it as I'll be all post baby flab and feeling frumpy instead of my original plan which ws to be fit, fab and forty

I have just spruced up the carpets using neutradol shake'n'vac and think I used too much. I can't stop sneezing and I'm not entirely sure I didn't prefer the smell of musty carpet. Now for the dusting and the tidying out of the toy box whilst DD is sleeping.

My back hurts.

JammyOLantern · 23/10/2008 12:12

Afternoon ladies.
Sorry folks are feeling down. I've run out of steam here too, after taking jamlet to the library (it did mean going out but is a relatively easy way to entertain her and still feel virtuous )
I need to sort my eating out, have put on weight . Still we're going all frugal next week, so DH will be instructed not to buy cakes etc, reduced price or not, so that will help.
Glad Trace got, and like, her things And thanks to Daisy's DH for delivering.
OK, gotta go. Jamlet wants to play with the felt tips. She doesn't actually draw with them, just likes putting the lids on and off. But needs supervising. Again, is a relatively easy way of entertaining her though.

LittleMissNorty · 23/10/2008 12:31

We're eating lunch and have just watched Balamory for the second time today, same episode as well....

can you tell I have no energy....cBeebies is entertaining my daughter
