Have a cuppa and a bickie first foxy

Ohforfoxsake · 22/10/2008 11:13

ooh, thanks Holly!

Did a few rounds of "what shall we do with the drunken sailor" chucking the girls around a bit. There. done something.

where's Daisy? Not that I want to start a Daisy-is-she-isn't-she-frenzy

Sputnik · 22/10/2008 11:14

You know they did a study recently that found that honey was better at calming children's coughs than over-the-counter cough syrups. It certainly worked last night on Baby Sputnik, he had a horrible cough that was waking him up.

Sputnik · 22/10/2008 11:15

I have to hang out washing. The thing about MNing is it doesn't require long attention spans.

HollyWeen · 22/10/2008 11:17

Yes, but honey doesn't taste as good as buttercup syrup! 'Tis very yum! I shall try the honey on dd before she goes to bed and I shall have the cough mixture! Thanks sputnik!

Well done foxy. I need to do some parenting, but the Peppa Pig dvd does a much better job than me!

HollyWeen · 22/10/2008 11:18

Yes, where is daisy? If she is in labour and hasn't done a live birth thread she is in for a good telling off!

Ohforfoxsake · 22/10/2008 11:22

she's not on facebook.

I hope she is OK.

Daisy Are you OK?

She was going to make a judgement on her bump pains this morning.

Ohforfoxsake · 22/10/2008 11:23

DKMA's been quiet lately.

Infact the whole of MN seems a bit more peaceful.

Does everyone else have a life, do you think?

HollyWeen · 22/10/2008 11:24

Oh yes, maybe she has gone to see the MW. Or maybe she is just doing housework!

HollyWeen · 22/10/2008 11:25

Probably foxy Why don't I have a life?!

HollyWeen · 22/10/2008 11:25

DKMA is probably off licking her boss!

Ohforfoxsake · 22/10/2008 11:29

You DO have a life Holly.

It is on here with me!

Even Sputnik has gone. She's probably doing housework and not watching Johnny and the Sprites. Have you seen it? Tis shitty shite.

ummm, I really don't know what to do now.

Sputnik · 22/10/2008 11:31

How's the WW going Foxy?
I did ok monday, lapsed a bit under stress yesterday.

HollyWeen · 22/10/2008 11:32

Yeh, 'tis shite, but he is quite fit!

Ohforfoxsake · 22/10/2008 11:34

I did contemplate going to the gym before the kids got up, about 6.30. But fell asleep again until 7.50. WW hasn't really kicked in yet. Just writing down everything I eat. And feeling fat, lazy and unmotivated.

Ohforfoxsake · 22/10/2008 11:35

Ewww! Holly! Too clean-cut, faked tanned, white toothed for my liking.

Sputnik · 22/10/2008 11:35

I am dipping in and out

Ohforfoxsake · 22/10/2008 11:36

Of what Sputnik? WW, MN or RL?

Ohforfoxsake · 22/10/2008 11:37

Time for me to go. LO has found the metanium cream, which is now on her face, hands, my black skirt and tights. Serves me right I guess!

HollyWeen · 22/10/2008 11:38

The gym? At 6.30? Are you mad woman?

LackaDAISYcal · 22/10/2008 13:21

pah you've all gone

I wasn't at the hospital. Decided not to bother as Virgil wriggling like a good 'un and admissions shut due to being very very busy . I'm seeing my CMW tomorrow so it can wait till then.

Can't move for blardy SPD though so am trussed up with support belt and body stocking...tres tres sexy .

I went to drink cappucino and eat lemon and poppy seed muffins in Caffe Nero instead. Told DD we were going to buy new shoes, but they said she was fine for the minute (not according to Clarks she isn't!). She was not happy about this and was grabbing things off the shelves on the way out the door . A girl after my own heart!! It's a good job she didn't need anything as I was going to get her some trainers and all they had was those godawful Lelli Kelli things. Why are girls shoes os blingy and flowery and glittery and sequiny...just awful.

HollyWeen · 22/10/2008 13:54

I'm here daisy. You had us worried for a bit there! I thought you'd gone into labour!! Glad little virgil is wriggling around this morning.

My dd is the same with shoes, it makes me ! We were in Tesco last night and I was looking at the kids clothes and dd started screaming. I couldn't understand why. Then she shouted "Mummy I want to look at the shoooooooes!" She is great!

I'm with you on the Leli Kellis...bleugh! John Lewis sell a kit with a pair of white pumps and glitter glue and sequins to decorate them with for about £7. I bet my dd could do a better job with that!

Just finished off labeling the NCT sale stuff to drop off on Monday. Only this sale and one more and then I get a break until March (oh and there's the toy sale mid Nov as well!). Got a cheque this morning for the last one. £73, so not bad. I do begrudge the 30% they take, but I made more on the stuff I sold through there, with commission taken off, than I would have done through ebay or a car boot sale, so I'm happy enough. Also the money they raise will go towards my training and future pay!!

LittleMissNorty · 22/10/2008 14:13

Hello all

Just a quickie from work while I stuff my lunch down my throat.

Still singing the theme tune in my head with Daisy's DS2 name ....great name though Daisy.....I need to convince DH of the other one though.

Tis really cold here today....had to scrape ice off the car this morning

Ohforfoxsake · 22/10/2008 14:32

Hi Daisy, Norty!

I was going to whip the thread into a 'is-she/isn't she' frenzy for my own entertainment Daisy Glad you are OK though.

How are you doing Norty?

I'm off to do the spuds for tea. Back in a bit

TALLULAHBELLE · 22/10/2008 17:13

Daisy Don't know any cartoons about fire engines, now I am confused. Mine is a character from a classic Scottish novel but could be taken as Irish also. Maybe we all have different ones after all.

Elvira Morag & Toerag has a nice ring to it but DH's ex-w is called Toerag so that's taken. Hasten to add that's by his family, not me, I like her.

Off to do the spag bol for tea. Guaranteed heartburn but have run out of inspiration when it comes to cooking these days.
