oh, and good luck with the CMing Izzy; a friend of ours is waiting for his final Ofsted check before he gets going. He has been a SAHD for three years, so thought he may as well make some money out of it now his youngest is at school. He has a waiting list already

I like the idea of a male CM.

thank goodness it's bedtime!

hi fairyfay

Sputnik · 05/10/2008 20:15

Hiya Daisy, everytime you don't post for a couple of hours I start wondering.....

LackaDAISYcal · 05/10/2008 20:19

one of the kiddies he will look after (a school friend of his DS) has two mums, so they are happy their DS will have a male role model .

Don't worry Sputnik; I'm planning on staying at home as long as possible so will have my live labour thread up and running . I'll remember to post a link, and as bumper says, I have her phone number!

Glad you are ok, Daisy.

Izzy, good luck with the CMing

Everyone, hello

RiallyEeRiaee · 05/10/2008 20:52

funny that daisy, the "two mum" family I know aren't interested in male role models for the Dss (perish the thought in fact!)

I am NOT staying up late tonight

JammyOLantern · 05/10/2008 21:09

Evening all

Daisy, glad you're still here. Hope the hospital can sort you out tomorrow. Sorry for those who have had crap days and good luck to all those job hunting.

Well PILs are looking at a new car as their's doesn't seem to have survived being flooded (Though thankfully the Xmas shopping they had done here remained safe and dry in the boot, and the 2 computer monitors they had bought survived on the back seat ) So looks like FIL will be here next week as cars seems a few £1000 cheaper down here so he is thinking of getting the train down on Friday and getting DH to take him out to a dealer's next Saturday ready to buy.

And miraculously DH has already assembled my bedside cabinet!!! I think it was an apology for being a grumpy sod today. He has an interview tomorrow and is stressed out about it.

I've just priced up all the non-clothes stuff we want to sell next week and it totals at £65 (which would give us £43 after NCT take their cut, if it all sells). And still got clothes to label up So should have plenty to pay for the stair gate we've admitted we need after finding jamlet half way up the stairs this afternoon . She was doing remarkably well at it until she realised I'd seen her, when she giggled because she knew she was doing somthing she shouldn't and then lost her grip and started to fall (thankfully I was just behind her by that point and caught her)

RiallyEeRiaee · 05/10/2008 21:18

they are little buggers aren't they jammy

I think I am off to bed. It's too darned cold to stay up.

Good luck to your DH for tomorrow

LackaDAISYcal · 05/10/2008 23:35

meant to say earlier....

in our decluttering extravaganza, I found £41 in gift vouchers (£30 Next, and £11 Woolies) that I thought were lost forever (I actually had accused DH of throwing them out and we had a huge row about it........not last Christmas, but the one before that )

please tell me that they don't have a use by date...there is nothing on the vouchers themselves to say they do!

I'm obviously talking to myself.....but just had to share that wee bit of good fortune.

LackaDAISYcal · 06/10/2008 06:30

still here and still talking to myself.

I farking hate pregnancy insomnia. I have been awake since 4:30 and finally gave up the bed at 6 so I could get a cup of tea.

busy out and about today so I haven't gone into labour if you don't see me around....although I suppose I might have

Lucky you daisy. I asked about vouchers at matalan the other week (as I have not yet lost any enough weight to spend my xmas vouchers from DM last year) and they said no expiry (surely it would be on them if there was?)

I sold my biker jacket for £30, so I'm too.

Off out for a bit here, back later.

HellHathNoFury · 06/10/2008 12:56

UUUuuuuurrrrrgggggggggg

Ohforfoxsake · 06/10/2008 13:28

wasssuuuup Fury?

Ohforfoxsake · 06/10/2008 13:32

Daisy - I had weeks of BHs and odd 'I think this is it'. It all served me well when it came to the crunch!
Although I'd be getting that 'loose tampon sensation' checked out. Shouldn't be anything hanging down/lost, and given you might have had a bit of a show, might be worth a look?

RiallyEeRiaee · 06/10/2008 13:39

hi foxy

you ill fury?

Sputnik · 06/10/2008 13:45

Hey Foxy, you ok after your weekend.

Fury?

HellHathNoFury · 06/10/2008 14:11

Hello Foxy are you feeling better?

Hi ladies, yes am off sick, AGAIN.

Feel very grotty and then even worse after I ate half a loaf of home baked bread... but it was YUMMMYYYYYYYY

Just been selling stuff on Ebay. It's a nightmare.

Ohforfoxsake · 06/10/2008 14:25

Sorry to hear you are ill. Bloody lucky you got your permy job when you did

Feel shite but I went to the gym this morning. Reactivated it after, ooh, 9 months. Of course, when I got there, they hadn't reactivated it as they are a bunch of incompetent twats who can't manage to implement their own procedures. What a bunch of fuck-wits.

Then, DP calls me to say "Why isn't this farking PC working?" "Is the yellow cable plugged in?" "Yes" he says getting shirty. "OK, I'll bastard-well come home". So stomp all the way home, not getting what I needed at the shops, doing what I needed to do (like having a fucking break away from children/house for one fucking hour).

"BOTH ends of the yellow cable needs to be plugged in, dear DP, one goes in the router, the other SHOULD NOT BE DANGLING DOWN WILLY-NILLY ".

The word gobshite springs to mind.

Izzybel · 06/10/2008 14:25

Hello all! Just popping in quickly whilst DD is having a sleep.
Thanks for your good luck messages re CMing... I think I shall need it! I haven't really spoken to any of the CMs on here although I've read a couple of threads on how to deal with inspections etc. I'm still waiting for a support CM to ring me as I could do with some help and also someone who may be able to pass people onto me.

Daisy, that sounds great about your friend being a male CM! On all the training I've been on I haven't seen any men, although the teacher i had was male and he used to be on with his wife. I shall be looking forward to your live labour thread! I hope your AN appt went/goes ok today.

I just had a skim through through the last June thread... Natty, if you're around I just wanted to say that I'm so sorry to read about your mc . Two so close together you must be totally heart broken. Love to you all xx

Ohforfoxsake · 06/10/2008 14:27

Izzy!

Good luck

Izzybel · 06/10/2008 14:36

Fury, sorry that you're off sick. That really sucks!
Foxy, have you been ill too? Think there must be something goig round. DP has been really sick. What a bunch of arsewipes at the gym! I don't go to the gym. We used to have our own treadmill here...but Dp broke it so it has been skipped. It mostly just used to sit there anyway . PMSL at your DP! He sounds a bit like me

Ohforfoxsake · 06/10/2008 14:46

Daiseeeeee, I know you are there ..............

When will you start minding do you think Izzy? I think your philosophy of treating your mindees as you want your own DD treated is lovely

RiallyEeRiaee · 06/10/2008 14:55

it is a good philosophy ... assuming you like your own children I am afraid my dinner-lady style leaves a lot to be desired. Has more to do with contempt for the school/certain staff than the kids TBH. I am nice to the ones who get a dawl real off the other staff though.

I am BORED (again) and DH is having a man-flu nap (again). Am dreading hometime tonight.

sorry for your morning foxy.

RiallyEeRiaee · 06/10/2008 14:55

Read "RAW DEAL"

Ohforfoxsake · 06/10/2008 14:59

Why are you dreading hometime ria?

Anyone watch 60 minute makeover? It always looks shite close up. those air bubbles in the wall paper and the bad cutting in

I really MUST get out more
