I have watched 60mm. They just cover over the old tat on the walls, that they had before. That would p*ss me off! My mum is always asking me to nominate her, to which I reply "but Mum it's for people who are deserving..." [cruel emoticon].

I'm not sure when I'll start cming. Hopefully soon, as I need the dosh. Just need to get my arse into gear and get advertising!

Ria, I'm sure you're not as mean as you make out although I bet there are some children who are right little horror bags and need a good telling from time to time! I'm talking about the kids at your school, btw - not your own children, lol.

Afternoon all

All is well with me and bub; still having strong BHs, all morning really but no regualrity to them. registrar not worried about my inner workings and put it down to age and third pregnancy. she said it's probably just things starting to loosen up combined with overdoing it on friday and didn't see any merit in examining me this close and with things going on (of course I forgot to tell her about the pinkish discharge). I had a huge BH when I was there and she cold tell by my face that it was happening; I was on the couch having heartbeat listened to and poor virgil's heart was racing. We also had a really long chat about VBAC and monitoring and how long overdue I should go before they intervene. She is happy for me to go over the 41 weeks they told me initially provided I have daily monitoring. She was very keen for me to have the continual monitoring but suggested a scalp clip on the baby rather than the belt on me to give me more mobility. That would need ARM though, so not too sure. I suppose we just suck it and see. She said they do lots of VBAC, but not so many VBA2C, so I feel like I'm a bit of a test case for them.

It's all seeming a bit more real now

Then we went to hell IKEA and am now home, feet up drinking tea and playing scrabble online. Life is good!!

And we had our meeting with the headteacher this morning which went really well. She said that she understood our cincerns and that given what went on last year, the boy and another couple of boys are being very closely watched and any inapporporiate behaviour on their part is being recorded as they are aware of issues. She also said it wouldn't go on DSs record as they are sure he was led rather than instigated it. Feel much better about the whole thing now and reassured that the school have measures in place to ensure that the boys involved can't do stuff like last year again....which was our main worry.

Now we just need to work on the homework issues

sorry to hear about more poorliness fury. I usually catch all sorts when the seasons change.

Ria, you alright lovely?

Seen that Tony Parsons is on here for a live web-chat tonight? The thread is hilarious, and he's already been on. Sucked in!

RiallyEeRiaee · 06/10/2008 16:13

I don't think I know who Tony Parsons is

Sorry you can tell daisy, I'm a bit . (even toast and hot cho not helped).

I'm pissed off with everything and dreading Weds (not meeting you of course). ARSE. I have no patience with the DCs either (neither has DH and I can't muster enough enthusiam to over compensate). DM & DF are away tonight too so I can't even descend on them for a moan. I need a kick up my arse.

JammyOLantern · 06/10/2008 17:35

Daisy, glad things are OK.
Ria, sorry you're not feeling so bright.
Fury, sorry you're ill
Foxy, sorry you got called home over a yellow cable!
Izzy, good luck with the CM

DH had a telephone interview today which he said was OK, so fingers crossed he gets called for the next part - aptitude tests.

NattyTombstoneAndEyeballs · 06/10/2008 17:43

evening to you all, just popping in to say thank you to the person who facebooked me, not entirely sure who you are MN names and RL names baffle me and i never remember!
i am ok, taking each day as it comes, all my friends and family are pretty much ignoring whats happened, so they dont have to talk about it, which is pretty much normal for the ppl in my life, i dont know why i expected any different really.
kids are great, being really well behaved, i may brave potty training next week, thomas seems more ready then he did last time we tried.

how is everyone else??

JammyOLantern · 06/10/2008 17:45

Hi Natty. Glad you're OK (YKWIM). Potty training sounds adventurous!
I'm coldy, but OK. But must get off my arse and go do some things before DH and DD get home! Maybe catch up again later?

NattyTombstoneAndEyeballs · 06/10/2008 18:12

ok then i need to sort dinner out anyway
xx

LackaDAISYcal · 06/10/2008 18:35

Natty, I think that's a normal response from people, it is difficult for them to deal with your grief; and sadly, people think that because it is only a teeny tiny foetus then it somehow lessens the grief of the woman suffering the miscarriage. They don't realise that in the woman's mind, it's already a baby. Take care lovely.

Ria, are you still up for Wednesday. I'll cheer you up .

Tony Parsons wrote Man and Boy (made into a film with Hugh Grant)

RiallyEeRiaee · 06/10/2008 18:39

hi natty and jammy. glad you're getting by natty.

I have cleaned my kitchen windows, bleached the sink and been out to the garden and cut myself the nearly last of the dahlias and loads of something like mini-sunflowers that begin with "R". I am going to do some more kitchen bleaching after the DCs have eaten (sausage, egg & beans; didn't feel like doing the roast when DH not in)

Just watching Claudia - bagginsdoes like dancing!

RiallyEeRiaee · 06/10/2008 18:41

not seen that one daisy. Di dhe write Tea for Two or similar (has egg cups on the cover?) I didn't read it though

I am still up for Wednesday. I'm going to have another look through baggins gorgeous cast offs for you tomorrow.

on no, I didn't realise Gary had gone

RiallyEeRiaee · 06/10/2008 18:57

I know I am being a bit dim, but I have just had a paypal payment and it says in ebay that I have to "claim" it. Why? Does anyone know?

off to do my bleaching and then put the little poppets to bed (I believe DS1 needs the PC for homework)

LackaDAISYcal · 06/10/2008 19:02

they will have paid using THE DEBIT CARD ATTACHED TO THEIR PAYPAL ACCOUNT AS THEiR FUNDS WILL HAVE BEEN LOW. i DID THE SAME THING LAST WEEK...AND SPUTNIK HAD TO "CLAIM" THAT ONE!

oops caps sorry!

Hello everyone

Daisy, I've 'seen' you elsewhere nudge nudge wink wink

FrazzledFairyFay · 06/10/2008 19:09

I'm glad all is well with Virgil - but, a trip to Ikea doesn't sound much like 'taking it easy' to me

LackaDAISYcal · 06/10/2008 19:10

What, where....?

I am not a number, I'm a free MNer .

Why the secrecy is what I want to know?

OP posts:
FrazzledFairyFay · 06/10/2008 19:11

It all seems very silly. I am one number higher than you .

LackaDAISYcal · 06/10/2008 19:12

DH was pushing the trolley though

Actually he is a bloody nightmare in IKEA....I see lots of little things that I think "oooh, look, that would do for this that or the other!" and he is the voice of my fecking conscience. I only managed to get out with two packs of postcards as additions to our "list"

blardy men, they just don't "get" shopping!

OP posts:
Ohforfoxsake · 06/10/2008 19:17

About A Boy was written by Nick Hornby and was made into a film with Hugh Grant. Tony Parsons wrote Man and Boy, which was a great book, and I have read all his others since, and have been disappointed each time. I'm not showing off my knowledge Daisy, I had to google it to check

Good luck to DH Jammy!

And Ria, I felt that way yesterday. I kept screaming silently. Usually the same two words. But your tea sounds good! Wish I was having that (with chips)!

FrazzledFairyFay · 06/10/2008 19:19

I love Ikea for exactly that reason - all the great stuff that is SO cheap, until you get to the checkout and realise that it's nt so cheap when you add it all together . I'm tempted to go soon as DD needs a new bed, but really can't face a trip with just the DCs, so will have to wait until DH gets worn down by my nagging asking him if we can go.

FrazzledFairyFay · 06/10/2008 19:20

Ah yes, internal screaming, I too do that A LOT

JammyOLantern · 06/10/2008 19:20

We went to Ikea yesterday, and DH was much the same. I had to persuade him I wanted to look round the store, not just take the short cuts to the bits we wanted. I admit though it was only nice because we got there early. We were there at 10, got most of what we wanted, had cooked breakfasts, finished the shopping (that last bit wasn't so goo as it was filling up by then, paid and then got jamlet some meatballs to keep her going until we got home. Not an ideal food I'm sure, but decided it was better than hot dog or chips! And gave her plenty of vruit and veg for the rest of the day.

FrazzledFairyFay · 06/10/2008 19:20

Great name Jammy
