Nice pizza thanks
Can you persuade your DH to make you a hot something Jammy?

Ria, so you are continental too then

RiallyEeRiaee · 04/10/2008 22:07

very continental sputnik. and maybe just a tad bohemian?

RiallyEeRiaee · 04/10/2008 22:08

I am bored. DH has gone to the pub to find out if a rumour he heard at the hotel he "works" at (he has been there nearly every night this week and they stil won't give him a permy contract) is true. And men don't gossip

JammyOLantern · 04/10/2008 22:12

Well part of me did think that yes they could have asked or mentioned it, but honestly I could tell she'd had a great time so it would have been churlish to complain. I was genuinely pleased that they wanted to take her out, and as they mentioned they knew we take her out for lunch with us and she eats a bit of whatever we're having so they did just that. And yes, it is lovely that jamlet takes to them so well, although she doesn't see them much. When they arrived she was a little confused, but very quickly was all over FIL. I think it's because he looks just like an older version of her Daddy!

Doubt DH would make me something hot, he's engrossed in his laptop. But the need to pee is getting overbearing so I'm off to the loo and then to bed. Night all.

Sputnik · 04/10/2008 22:20

Daisy, this was someone who popped into Little Italy and happened to ask about the town near where I live, it's quite a coincidence as it's tiny! Anyway her brother has a house near here and she's over for the week.

Baby Sputnik is being super bohemian as he fell asleep in the car on the way to the restaurant, slept all the way through the pizza then woke on the way home. Wasn't interested in going back to sleep so he's watching Maisy.

Sputnik · 04/10/2008 22:27

I regularly hand DD over to my MIL or SIL. It was an effort at first but I leave them to it! No one has taken the baby off my hands yet though.

LackaDAISYcal · 04/10/2008 22:35

It's funny how the wee ones are always neglected isn't it? PILs took DS out for the day a few times over the school hols, but no mention of taking DD as well

Sounds funny you talking about DS as the baby Sputnik......I have already parked that term for DD as Virgil is the baby now....or soon will be.

Hope you have a good night jammy and feel better in the morning.

We are watching some godawful shite film on 4+1.....I think I'll leave DH to it and off to bed myself. Had two pickled eggs with my fish and chips at teatime though, and am suffering the consequences very badly.

He still has a baby face, and hair
And he still has his little dimples

LackaDAISYcal · 04/10/2008 22:43

DD just looks like a little person now....a very little one as she is sooooooo dinky. My friends 10mo old DS was standing up next to her earlier and he is nearly as tall as she is, bless her.

right, am off

RiallyEeRiaee · 04/10/2008 22:45

so, purely out fo curiosit I have looked for ex-BF on facebook, and I can't find him. (we were 15, tis not marriage threatening stuff) Have found an old friend, and as far as I remember she hated everyone on her friends list, so I'll steer clean. RL friends are not all they're cracked up to be

RiallyEeRiaee · 04/10/2008 22:46

baggins is a carbon copy of DS2.I don't actually want to do a degree, I want another baby

but need several million pounds and an extension first.

RiallyEeRiaee · 04/10/2008 22:56

I'm off. SO looking forward to Sunday... and apparently we have a severe weather warning.

Bumperlicious · 05/10/2008 11:03

Morning all

We still call DD The Baby, in fact she is predominantly called The Baby, I don't know why, DH and I never use names either, it's usually just "babe" or "darl". We only really use names when we are cross with each other. But someone on a thread on here was complaining about people who call their children Baby "They have a name you know". I said, well so do it and it's not bloody mummy!

Jammy, I can appreciate you feeling a bit funny about your IL taking the Jamlet out without mentioning it. But like you say, churlish to complain really, you have to pick your battles.

Glad I'm not negligent letting DD stay up so late. It doesn't seem to have any baring on what time she gets up.

I've just cleared 4 pots of breast milk out of the freezer, seems criminal to throw it away But it must be at least 7 months old.

RiallyEeRiaee · 05/10/2008 12:55

baggins is "the baby" too, DH calls him "pud" (as he did with DS2) and it annoys me. I never use anyones name, I don't know why.

bggins is stuffed with cold today. DS2 and I have washed the car in readiness for our trip to the big city! DH is cleaning the inside as it's his crap.

DS1&2 are playing out on the grass after 3 days of rain. obviously left their brains in their bedrooms today

RiallyEeRiaee · 05/10/2008 14:03

the big boys are doing my head in...

Ohforfoxsake · 05/10/2008 15:32

everyone/thing is doing my head in Ria

what a fuck-awful weekend

bleurgh

anyway, my misery aside,

everyone alright?

JammyOLantern · 05/10/2008 15:50

Sorry you're having a shit time Foxy.

Things OK here other than a big barny betwixt me & DH earlier becasue he didn't believe I'd put the sat-nav power cable in the pocket of the car door and not on the car floor . But until then it was a good day. We went to ikea and got some stuff for the jamlet, and finally after 6 years waiting, I have a bedside cabinet! Of course, it needs to be assembled so I may have a while to wait yet .

Izzybel · 05/10/2008 16:16

Helloooo!
Is anyone here? I haven't been around for ages as computer has been knackered!
Hope everyone is OK as I've been away for far too long to even try to catch up.

Been quite busy here! It was my birthday a few weeks ago and I have recieved my certificate to be a childminder so I can now start! Don't feel ready though WTF do I do with someone elses child! I had loads of ideas and thoughts of what we would do everyday but now that it comes down to it I'm a bit AAAARGH! I've not advertised yet though so it may be a while before I have any children to look after. It's exciting but nerve wracking as I want to be good at it. I want the children to be treated how I would like someone to treat my own DD!

DD is turning into a cheeky little madam! She climbed out of her cot the other week I heard a huge thud coming from her room when she had been having her nap, and I walked in to find her on the floor!

RiallyEeRiaee · 05/10/2008 16:20

Hi Izzy, good to "see" you.

It has indeed been the worst weekend for a while, and we aren't even that ill. for you foxy.

we have a clean car now, but no doubt it won't be for long.

I have made lasagne & cottage pie because the beef wasn't defrosted. I don't fancy either. Fish and chips and a few cold beers would go down nicely, but not going to happen.

Just when you think things can't get any worse, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang on the TV.

daisy - you ok?

Izzybel · 05/10/2008 16:29

Fish and chips does sound good. I have no clue what o do for tea. I'm quite hungry though. DD is still sleeping, I'll probably need to wake her soon.

RiallyEeRiaee · 05/10/2008 16:54

DH just applied for a temp xmas job at , tried applying to JS this morning but the bloody on-line application cut out just before we got to "submit".

There may be good news on the horizon. The local place he worked when baggins was born has been sold so come the new broom there might be chance of his old job back. Am crossing everything in a vaguely pathetic optimistic way.

best go finish making tea. hope DH will go out for chocolate later.

FrazzledFairyFay · 05/10/2008 18:07

Hi everyone. Miserable here too

Only had time to skim very quickly - Is Daisy in labour, or have I got the wrong end of the stick?

Bumperlicious · 05/10/2008 18:27

Hi FF and Izzy! Good luck with your new enterprise Izzy. Have you spoken to any of the CM on here?

Hope your DH finds something Ria.

Sorry everyone is feeling sorry for themselves. Foxy, you ok?

Not sure about daisy, she has bee having labour like signals, but I'm sure she would have popped back on here if it was anything. I'm by my phone just in case.

Hmm, have just died my hair a dark mulberry (bought with my advantage points) and waiting for it to dry. Hope it looks ok, and doesn't wash me out

Sputnik · 05/10/2008 19:48

Wassup Foxy?
Still feeling sick?

LackaDAISYcal · 05/10/2008 19:59

I'm still here

Still feeling pretty weird and crampy, and there is a feeling that bits of my anatomy are where they shouldn't be; like my cervix is halfway down my vag . I daren't have a prod round incase it is. The closest thing I can liken it to is when you have a tampin in, but it isn't in right and you can feel it, iyswim. I'm getting very pokey sharp prods when I walk from the displaced anatomy.

I have an AN appointment at the hospital tomorrow so I'll talk to them about it then. Meanwhile, it's on and on with the crampy BHs.

Foxy, hope you are allright?

DH and I have been nesting. I've had him rearranging furniture and then getting him to move it back again as it didn't look right . We have also sorted out a mound of paperwork and got the office vaguely sorted.....you can at least see the floor now, which is more than can be said for the hallway and our bedroom.
