Fairy, many sympathies.
She may be being lazy, but I often find when DD has accidents it always seems to be when she has a cold or is coming down with one, no idea why!

HollyWeen · 11/10/2008 22:01

Fairy, I sympathise too! My dd sometimes does that, mainly due to laziness. She hasn't done it for a while, but like sputnik I find that it usually happens when she is getting a cold. Hope it passes soon.

Daisy, hope dd is ok. My dd was sick last week and it passed in a day, fingers crossed it's the same for you. Poor little mite, hope she's ok and doesn't spew on you again.

I've fucking well gone and lost my car keys! I had them yesterday and I think I may have dropped them when I went out to pick up dd from pre-school. It is the only set we have and it has an immobiser, so I can't even get a new key because I won't be able to drive the heap of shit without the remote locking jobby to deactivate the immobliser! AAAARRRRSSSEEEE! I don't know what to do, especially as it is sat on the road outside with no valid tax disk on it! I only got it yesterday (I forgot) and now I can't get in it to put the thing in it! It is a PITA! The insurance is due Monday as well! FUCK! If a new key is more than £100 I am just going to phone a scrap company and get them to take the thing away.

Sputnik · 11/10/2008 22:20

Shit Holly.
You mean you only got the car yesterday?

HollyWeen · 11/10/2008 22:25

No, the tax disc. It ran out at the end of Sept, but I only got a new one yesterday. Now it is sat on the road outside with no tax and I can't get in to put the tax disc in it and I can't move it! This car has been a real PITA and I haven't even got my licence yet! Maybe I'll just smash the windows and set fire to it!

Sputnik · 11/10/2008 22:27

Those keys are usually really ££££.
Probably less than £100

HollyWeen · 11/10/2008 22:32

I will phone the local dealership on Monday and see if they can get me a new key and fob. I think I am going to get rid of it anyway. Heap of shit! I am really cross with myself for losing it. Wank and arse!

HollyWeen · 11/10/2008 22:34

Anyway, how are you sputnik?

Sputnik · 11/10/2008 22:37

Not bad, just off to bed though

HollyWeen · 11/10/2008 22:38

'Night, sleep well x

You are lucky being in Italy, you don't have to watch the X-Factor. It is shit!

Sputnik · 11/10/2008 22:40

I think there is a crappy Italian version. But I haven't watched any tv for 2 years anyway!

HollyWeen · 11/10/2008 22:42

No Tv for 2 years? Do you and your dh actually talk to each other of an evening then?

Sputnik · 11/10/2008 22:44

Good god no!
We have several computers.

Sputnik · 11/10/2008 22:45

It is amazing how you don't miss tv.
Italian tv is dire though. Even longer since I watched that.

HollyWeen · 11/10/2008 22:48

Oh good, that would have been terrible! I guess that's what MN is for, to stop you actually talking to your dh/p when there is nothing on TV!

I'm going to stop talking to you know because you were going to bed and I feel bad!

Sputnik · 11/10/2008 22:48

Right, I'm really off now xxx

HollyWeen · 11/10/2008 22:49

I imagine Italian TV to be cheesy game shows and a lot of orange skin and shiny white teeth! Is that right?

Sorry, I'm not talking to you, I forgot!

JammyOLantern · 12/10/2008 15:58

Afternoon all.

Jamlet picked up the thermometer this morning, took it out of its case and held it up to her ear She did that a few times, and then progressed to talking into it like it was a telephone

Feeling a little better after a 2 hour nap this morning and another this afternoon. Basically I took to bed when Jamlet napped. Was surprised at how much she slept today - and that's after 12.5 hours straight through last night. I think she's not been feeling so well either Wish I could stop coughing though.

justbeme · 12/10/2008 16:23

Hope you feel better soon Jammy

Im happy - just ordered some boots online using the discount code mentioned by Daisy and on the discount topic - saved £26!! plus free delivery. Woo hooo!!

JammyOLantern · 12/10/2008 16:32

Thanks JBM. And woo hoo indeed for your boots! I got jamlet's feet checked on Friday, thinking could order online and get the discount once I knew what size, but she hasn't grown, still a 2.5G same as in August Still at least that saves us £26!

justbeme · 12/10/2008 17:24

I had lucys feet measured on friday too - she's also a 2.5g and the lady said that Clarkes proper shoes dont start until size 3 - so to save our money until then!!

At the moment she's wearing either Next jellies size 3 or little Puma trainers size 3 that my sister got - the Clarkes lady said they fit fine!! TBH she's hardly wears them - so I'll leave it a few more weeks.

Last time she measured a 2.5f - so her feet must be spreading!!

JammyOLantern · 12/10/2008 17:41

Jamlet has some "cruising shoes" from Clarks and some cheap ones from Next as a spare pair (having left her shoes at nursery last week and then she wanted to go outside and play and her socks got soaked)

HellHathNoFury · 12/10/2008 19:37

2.5g!!!

Good lord
I must have a 7 year old

DS is a 5H

HollyWeen · 12/10/2008 19:46

What diddy little girls! Ds is a 6H ! I think fairy's ds is a 7! Fairy and I do have massive clown feet (sorry fairy, but we do), so our DSs must have inherited them from us! Luckily I think my dd has missed out on the clown feet gene, she is an 8F and is 3.5. She is still in her winter boots from last year!

HollyWeen · 12/10/2008 19:47

How is your house Fury?

HellHathNoFury · 12/10/2008 20:02

House is bolloxed. It's been a weekend from hell.
And the house goes on the market tomorrow.
