thanks for all the lovely words guys

feeling much better today; the restorative power of sleep. I didn't go to bed until 2:30, but I had four and a half hours without waking; which is more than I've had in one stretch in weeks. Might do knitting tonight though instead of trying to your score on that silly facebook word game, fairy

Well better go and get ready. I'm meeting Ria today

I hope your cold clears quickly jammy. DD and I only suffered badly for three or four days last week, but we are still a bit bunged up.

I'm addicted to that game too, Daisy. Please don't beat my score because then I'll get no sleep either as I'll be desperately trying to beat you

LackaDAISYcal · 08/10/2008 16:11

where is everyone? I wanted to tell you all about meeting Ria. She is lovely and baggins is a real cutie. He and DD were sitting in their buggies saying "hiya" to each other. Too short a meeting though Ria; we'll definately need to do it again soon

the clothes are lovely as well; thanks very much...again

DD has just fallen over one of her toys and face planted into a pile of crazybones. She now has the fists and feet of No80 imprinted on her forehead . An interesting and weird bruise that is going to be!

We have some sort of tummy bug as well......feeling decidedly ropey after my lunch and DD has had five nasty nappies today

i'm back from getting my flu jab daisy. Glad your meet up with ria was nice.

i've spent most of afternoon pacifying jamlet as she's been clingy and grotty

FiendishFairyFay · 08/10/2008 16:30

Glad your meet-up was nice Daisy and Ria but sorry for poorly tums

justbeme · 08/10/2008 19:25

Happy Birthday Fury - How was the cake??

How short was short Daisy?? and where did you meet.

Did a 6 mile walk today along a canal and then for a pub lunch - what a beautiful sunny day.

Ohforfoxsake · 08/10/2008 19:30

HAPPY BIRTHDAY FURY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Am very of you guys meeting each other Daisy and Ria!

Sorry to hear about the crappy illnesses going around - same here.

LackaDAISYcal · 08/10/2008 20:07

We met in the cafe at Tropical World and had about an hour and a half.......Ria is lovely and funny and don't listen to anything she says on here. She is waaaaaay too hard on herself . Baggins a very placid and cute boy. He sat there happily in his buggy whilst DD charged around all the tables, staring at people who were eating and trying to throw her teddy off the decking.

Poorly tum isn't holding her back at all

I want to meet Ria and Daisy

TALLULAHBELLE · 08/10/2008 20:15

Hi All & happy birthday to Fury.
Had interesting afternoon giving talk with some other mums to medical students about b/f. 2 other mums had little bitty babies, about 9-10 weeks old. God had forgotten how hard that is. What have I let myself in for ?

LackaDAISYcal · 08/10/2008 20:21

Are you going to BF the twins tallulah?

fairy, one day we will have an all comers meet up. We'll hire a youth hostel for the weekend and all chip up with the DP/DHs and DCs

FiendishFairyFay · 08/10/2008 20:23

Can you imagine the choas Daisy. Sounds like fun though

JammyOLantern · 08/10/2008 20:23

I have seen cottages that sleep 20+ people, I could look into that if people are interested?

FiendishFairyFay · 08/10/2008 20:24

I'd be up for it, although persuading DH might be more difficult

LackaDAISYcal · 08/10/2008 20:30

I'd definately be up for it.....again persuading DH might be a challenge. I've just asked him what he thinks of it.........NO came the clear and strong response. Can't see why then men can't be there to look after the kids whislt we all sit around getting blind drunk and hooting about fanjos and bumsex threads

You can get good deals with the YHA out of season.

JammyOLantern · 08/10/2008 20:32

Doubt my DH would be up for it tbh. We could try just us and the LOS though?

TALLULAHBELLE · 08/10/2008 20:33

Will definitely give the b/f a go Daisy but had so many difficulties with DD so am more than a little doubtful that I will manage. Also the support group at my hosp that really helped me continue with b/f DD has folded & now there is absolutely no support whatsoever.

TALLULAHBELLE · 08/10/2008 20:37

Can I suggest a youth hostel at Loch Lomond so I can come. Can't drive & that's about as far as I would think of getting a train with 3 DC's. Maybe better for DP's & DC's to stay home & just mummies to go.

FiendishFairyFay · 08/10/2008 20:44

Just mummies.... now there's an idea

RiallyEeRiaee · 08/10/2008 21:08

Count me in. I can DO people now

Thank you for saying lovely things about me daisy. It was indeed too short (and probably not the best day to do it either, I feel I maybe didn't put in enough effort). Guess what? There will be more chances! Your DD is lovely -all that gorgeous hair and proper words!

DH got no joy at all. The person who did his scan sent a letter to his surgeon to say "this is what I can tell you, BUT I don't have enough experience to provide full info" (or similar) and didn't send the scan pics for the surgoen (who does know stuff) to look at. The thinking is that there is a minor infection in the bone that is treatable (rather than the dead bone option which meant a pretty horrific op), but he has to have a biopsy.

I am glad we were meeting up or it would have been a complete fecking waste of time.

sorry about your hols JBM. You choose next time!

Happy birthday fury.

RiallyEeRiaee · 08/10/2008 21:09

I think there is a house on the shore of Coniston water that has no TV etc... bring on the drink!

FiendishFairyFay · 08/10/2008 21:13

Oooh, a house by a lake, sounds blissful.

RiallyEeRiaee · 08/10/2008 21:14

obviously a rentable house, not just a random home

I am off to eat Sainsbos curry and drink wine with DH.

Hope you and DD feel better soon daisy. Shame when your lunch looked so yummy. (Next time we will do lunch and maybe even shops)
