They are very cute Daisy. Just what I wanted so she can splash in the puddles - always lots of those around. Will check Next out if can ever face town again.

TALLULAHBELLE · 07/10/2008 21:45

Sold out.

Ohforfoxsake · 07/10/2008 21:47

Don't blame you T! just ensure the cupboards of full so he can meet your every need and whim!

Bloody hell Daisy, still a stretch to go. Can he maximise his paternity/annual leave before then?

LackaDAISYcal · 07/10/2008 21:52

He has two weeks paternity leave and about three weeks holiday and is planning on working from home as much as humanly possible without taking the piss, so it won't be that bad hopefully. I think what has made it worse today is that he has been around since last Thursday and only went away this morning, so I have got used to him being here again.

Tallulah I can send you DDs ones. No use to us unless virgil wants a complex . she only wore then half a dozen times, mainly in the garden, so are like new.

FB/email me your address

I'm sorry to be so dim but what exactly is gardening leave?

I am reading xmas threads

TALLULAHBELLE · 07/10/2008 21:56

Would love them Daisy but don't want you putting yourself out going to post office and so on. You need to be RESTING.

LackaDAISYcal · 07/10/2008 22:04

his contract says three months notice ria, so he has to work three months. His employers can choose to not have him in the office during that three months, but if they do that they still pay him for the three months and he can't start the new job as he is still under contract; so a nice paid holiday (hence the gardening, although i his case it would be more like fishing leave). If he worked directly for the retailer his company supplies, gardening leave would be automatic as they take rivalry etc very seriously. He thinks his employer will make him work it though and only tell their client at the last minute.

oh. bugger. Don't get that in catering. fingers crossed they have a change of heart.

RiallyEeRiaee · 07/10/2008 22:08

three months is a long time for notice.

LackaDAISYcal · 07/10/2008 22:10

Post office is only a five minute waddle away so no worries there. I have birthday cards and some nappy wraps to post tomorrow anyway, so I can do it then

I'm just watching the news.....it's a bit worrying isn't it?

holly.....sorry i ignored your question about fleece pockets. Come and say hello on the real nappy chat thread; there are always little deals being done under the MN counter or someone will know where to get a bargain.

LackaDAISYcal · 07/10/2008 22:11

I think it's pretty standard in his line of work Ria as jobs are few and far between and candidates even more so.

OP posts:
RiallyEeRiaee · 07/10/2008 22:13

makes sense really, just seems so long.

I'm sorry (again) for being dim,but what's on the news? (DH watching film, I'm still on xmas threads)

LackaDAISYcal · 07/10/2008 22:18

all the major banks shares have dropped enormously, with TSB and HBOS taking the biggest hit. The bank execs have had a crisis meeting at Downing Street tonight to discuss emergency measures. And, if I understand it correctly (which is doubtful), basically the tax payers are going to be bailing out all the high street banks.

RiallyEeRiaee · 07/10/2008 22:19

oh. bollocks. glad I'm not watching. It's all very depressing.

TALLULAHBELLE · 07/10/2008 22:47

Can't bear to think about the financial climate of the moment. Especially with another mat leave looming, new mortgage & DH a choice of living in Oz or being unemployed here. Oh & 2 new babies to provide for. Talk about bad timing

Daisy - if you're sure it's no problem then I'd be delighted to have the wellies.I will e mail address to you, I don't F/B any more, could never navigate it well enough. Think I have your e mail address already - your old MN name.

TALLULAHBELLE · 07/10/2008 22:53

Off to bed now.Didn't realise it had got so late & the dishes still not done. Night all.

RiallyEeRiaee · 07/10/2008 22:54

I am thinking with DH being unemployable unemployed at least he won't get made redundant, but I suppose catering/pub trade will be pretty hard hit too so it will be even harder for him to get a job. For once in my life I am trying to look onthe bright side, but I'm not too good at it.

RiallyEeRiaee · 07/10/2008 22:57

night Tbelle.

BTW mine and DHs dishes rarely get done before morning. Then sometimes the morning pots don't get done til tea

Suppose I should go too, need to be bright eyed and bushy tailed (or as near as) tomorrow

LackaDAISYcal · 07/10/2008 23:15

Night all

see you tomorrow Ria

I expect you're all in bed now!!

Trace - so glad Chloe's home and hope everything settles down soon for you all.

Well, the holiday was to a chalet in Gt yarmouth - i didnt want to go - but DP loves the seaside. It was just as I expected, but luckily DP decided he wanted to come home early - it was freezing, the electric meter ate our coins and we were still cold, no shower and basically grim. the pool had been shut down as full of bacteria and the one we sneaked into next door was freezing and also very grim facilties. Although had a lovely day yesterday as very sunny
but the phrase "I told you so" springs to mind. Its nice to be home....

JammyOLantern · 08/10/2008 07:48

Tallulah, jamlet has cruising shoes from Clarks at the moment. Actually, today she doesn't have any shoes because DH left them at nursery yesterday.

JammyOLantern · 08/10/2008 09:59

Not going great here today. Jamlet seems to have my cold She won't settle for nap in cor even though tired, screamed for 15 mins instead. Now asleep on my lap though And I have had to rearrange kitchen cupboards so that it's all plastic stuff in the one she likes to play in most. Oh and she managed to get her hands into a bowl of chicken marinade as I was loading last night's dinner stuff into the dish washer, eeew!

JammyOLantern · 08/10/2008 10:09

HAPPY BIRTHDAY FURY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

FiendishFairyFay · 08/10/2008 10:20

Awwww to all the ittle girls with dinky feet. DS is a size 7 already

Daisy, you are not a bad Mummy, you are human. I had tears yesterday too as DD was being a terror all day because she was tired (DS ame up, put his fingers in my tear, tasted them and then walked off ). I was tired having been up with both DCs in the night, but I can't even blame the tiredness of being heavily pg, not to mention the pg hormones. Give yourself a break, it's ok to show the DCs that you get upset and angry sometimes.

Happy Birthday Fury

FiendishFairyFay · 08/10/2008 10:20

And hope Jammy and Jamlet feel better soon
