Hello

Just popping in to show off my Halloween name!

We just have a gate to our kitchen but it is difficult to open with one hand so I climb over it all the time but swear a lot as I hit my feet/shins a lot!

Natty, talk about things as much as you like, as long as you give me some crumble

JammyOLantern · 06/10/2008 20:56

Night all, I'm going for that early night

NattyTombstoneAndEyeballs · 06/10/2008 20:58

Sputnik · 06/10/2008 21:04

NattyTombstoneAndEyeballs · 06/10/2008 21:07

sputnik i was just giggling to myself at that one lol
plenty for u bumper, custard or icecream?

LackaDAISYcal · 06/10/2008 21:14

pmsl at your halloween name bumper

help me with mine.....pleeeeeeeese

we started off with a gate at the bottom of the stair, then added the top, and then the kitchen between the diner and kitchen otherwise she pours breakfast cereals and herbs and spices all over the floor and plays with the espresso cups and eats cat food, and then what she doesn't eat dumps in the water ..oh and she pulls the wallpaper off and gets knives out of the dishwasher as well.

F*** knows what we will do when she can reach door handles; it'll be like fort knox in here.

Jammy Friend of mine has this on stair between wall and stairpost. Works well, and good for tricky angles.

NattyTombstoneAndEyeballs · 06/10/2008 21:19

lol daisy sounds just like ellen, how funny. she has started emptying my washing machine as well now just to add to the list of annoying things she does when my back is turned. its a hard age isnt it lol

Ohforfoxsake · 06/10/2008 21:21

Daisy, how do you feel about playpens?

Bloodystumperlicious · 06/10/2008 21:22

I'm off to let DH on the laptop, daisy all I can think of is CrazyDaisy or something like that but I can promise you this will probably keep me awake thinking tonight!

OP posts:
RiallyEeRiaee · 06/10/2008 21:51

I can't find any mention of the payment on my paypal account, just on ebay in my messages? Grr.

Ohforfoxsake · 06/10/2008 21:57

Natty, its very strong and has stood the test of time

If you get a Babydan it has a gate, so she has the freedom to go in and out (once playing happily you can shut the gate). I don't use ours much, but when I need to, its invaluable - especially with lego or crazy bones (or any other choking fodder about).

Ohforfoxsake · 06/10/2008 22:03

that last bit was in reply to Daisy, BTW.

LackaDAISYcal · 06/10/2008 22:07

I just shut her in the hallway when I need to contain her

she is generally OK with little bits of toys, although I'm sure she must have swallowed some of those teeny tiny round bits of lego that double up as headlights!

why is it that at 2pm I was ready to crawl under a stone and die of fatigue....but now I feel I could go on all night?

Evening!

Daisy, we have those BabyDan gates on the stairs. They are a bit better looking than those big white metal things, but ds can open them if he pulls hard enough! Dp broke one last time he got pissed. He fell into it and ripped it off the wall! Luckily we had some spares parts and fixed it. We also have this one on the kitchen doorway. It is the dog's bollocks! There is no way in hell that any child can get through it! I hate having parts if the house sectioned off, but ds would kill himself in a matter of seconds without gates!

I did an NCT sale on Saturday. I don't know how much I've made because I forgot to make a copy of the list (doh!), but I sold about 50 items, which was nice! I've registered for 2 more sales on the 1st and 2nd in nearby areas, so hopefully I will have lots of funds for Christmas and much more space for pressies this time next month! I have also spent most of the day listing things on ebay and usednappies. Maybe I'll buy myself some new shoes !

I have an Ikea Family card, it is great. I hardly ever use it, but still get sent £10 off vouchers every couple of months. In February there will be an Ikea a 20 min walk from my house! Hurrah! I forsee some serious spending happening!

I lost my place on the catching up. I'm seriously shit!

Daisy, I hope Virgil isn't still giving you gip! Bloody boys!

LackaDAISYcal · 06/10/2008 22:21

just saw on the news that my BILs company has gone into receivership and he is out of a job

This whole thing is starting to worry me somewhat....

goodness knows what things will be like at my office as the construction industry is always hardest hit.

RiallyEeRiaee · 06/10/2008 22:23

hi holly.

I have a sand-timer where the payment received thing should be. I will leave it for tonight I think. I can only claim the payment once can't I? I am seriously shit at ebaying.

LackaDAISYcal · 06/10/2008 22:26

hi holly

I thought about selling at the NCT sale, but they take nearly 35% commission here which is a bit much I think (charity beginning at home and all that!). Some local branches have started doing table top sales where you do your own selling and pay about £10/£20 for a table and then what you make on the day is yours to keep. I like the sound of that much more.

lol, I hadn't thought about virgil being a troublesome boy

NattyTombstoneAndEyeballs · 06/10/2008 22:27

ooo daisy i get it now..
now what u mean about being wide awake now! both my kids actually went to sleep today at the same time, and i crashed out in front of my beloved jeremy kyle show (why is it other ppl having shite lives makes me feel better about mine? )

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 06/10/2008 22:28

Oh dear daisy, poor bil. Lots of people at dp's ex-employer were made redundant today. It is happening a lot atm.

Ria, is it something you have sold on ebay that you are waiting for payment for? If there is an egg timer they could have posted you a cheque or payed by echeque.
