madmouse - glad dh is on the mend, i had it one christmas, not good.

ds2 up for 2 feeds last night, ds1 up randomly at 1am, then 6.
think the mornings may be sorted - helped by MIL and copious chocolate buttons

feels like a long day ahead....

Morning ladies.
Had a very early start to my birthday. George woke at 5am crying and coughing gave him a bottle and some Medised but he didn't settle till about 6 but even then he was wriggling and moany. Then ds3 woke at 6.50 shoutinf cause he wanted to give Mummy her birthday presants but Daddy made him wait till after breakfast. Got a lovely lot of cards and a small birthday cake which we are going to have later. Going out soon. Dh buying me some boots.

Another bad night with DS. Am totally knackered...

Think he is well enough for pre school though. He ate no tea last night but is stuffing himself with food today

Also from me - Happy birthday Ginge & good luck with maths exam Lily.

I have a streaming nose, DS's ability to self-settle has gone out the window after he's been ill this week so I was up between 1 and 2 am with him last night. DH avoiding us both as Ofsted coming to his school next week. Jobshare partner still can't start so I am still doing 3 days a week. DS has just been whining in cot for 20 mins but has finally fallen asleep, I feel terrible as I never normally just leave him but I had to sit and have a Lemsip to make myself human - we have the dentist at 11 (his first appointment - we have 8 teeth to show him .

Whinges over, have a good day all.

MM - Neither DH or Sabela got norovirus when I had it. I think scrupulous washing of hands and washing dishes really hot helps, but I'm sure you're doing that anyway.

Simpson - how is DS?

Sabela slept from 8pm until 6.30 am! Longest ever. Unfortunately, I was awake as two of my knuckles were really hurting?????? DH says I'm releasing tension during the night. It is tru I seem to have a different ache or pain every day.

Thankyou ladies. We went to Evans and DH bought me some lovely black knee high boots. Ive never had knee high boots before because I have large calf muscles and my cousin suggested Evans as she has the same problem. Oh they are lovely. I feel very grown up
I asked ds3 how old Mummy was today and he answered '13' cool I liked being 13.
Any news Lillyloo? Will you get your results today?
Well I'm off for a cuppa. ds4 had another fun morning at his new playgruop and is fast asleep as is ds5 so I'll say ttfn. xxx

having a laaaaazy day today. went to playgroup this morning but have done sod all since.
wanted to go to the supermarket and get some Christmas presents (champagne/whisky type things) but DS1 keeps saying no when i ask him if he wants to go out!
Asked him if he wanted to stay in all day watching Peppa Pig and he said yes, all day mummy

Don't have enough energy to fight them into the car/into trolley and around supermarket so have given up for now...

Lily - hope it was ok, keep going for the second part!

Hi all

Ds LOVED pre school I was struggling up the three steps to entrance with DD in buggy and DS ran in. By the time I got into class room he was elbow deep in sandpit

He was quite happy to be left

However when I picked him up and we got home he started sobbing saying his ear hurt He had temp and his ear was weeping...so maybe another trip to docs tomorrow....Although he perked up considerably once the nurofen kicked in.

Made a bit of a boo boo with DD this evening and gave her a bit of toasted crumpet with butter on so will probably have tears in the morning.

The good news is have appt to see pead on 13th Nov at 2pm. Good knows what I will do with DS as DH at work and I will not be back to pick him up by 3.15

JKS - I love a lazy day!! Talking of Xmas pressies I have bought pretty much all of Ds's but have now got it into my head I REALLY want to get him a wheelybug. I know he would looooove it....But £60 is a lot....

Simpson yeah at ds loving pre school , dd is the same she loves it will be going 4 days a week after xmas and dropping nursery when i not at work! The wheelybugs go for £30 ish on ebay also a few mums have sold them on here in the toy section!

JKS loving the lazy day sounded like a tough night. Took your advice and went on to the questions i could do but ran out of time when i went back but hey ho. Actually enjoyed getting me ready and leaving the house on my own DP was trying to have his normal leisurely shower and i was shouting him he had 15 min to get ds ready for school , dd1 ready for nursery and Martha and then left

Ange sympathy we made the mistake of doing cc the week before Martha was ill so had a couple of result nights before she lost the ability and back to square one. Hope your cold passes soon!

Gingeme remember your thread about boots and calfs was that last year ? Glad you got some love my knee boots with tights and skirts stops me feeling really mumsy esp on the school run Now that's a feat in itself!

Just a quickie as I need to pack

dh is mostly better, just no appetite and some things just don't sit well in his stomach. he eats yogurt, smoothies and bananas, and some super plain risotto I made him. can't stomach bread or his beloved coffee. looks like we will go as I expect he will be better still tomorrow. it will be a matter of if he eats a bowl o cereal we will go. not that he is sick, just uncomfortable.

better pack then , sounds worse than it is, staying with parents, and have a list to work from

Lilyloo - need the large wheelybug and can only find it on e bay for £50 second hand. Might be worth spending the extra tenner then at least it has a guarantee if it breaks....Still not sure though!!

Poor DS awake again complaining about sore ear He has had maximum about of meds I can give. Think we will be back to doc's tomorrow.

Another horrific night with DS

Going back to docs at 11.15.

Playgroup leader has just rung and the photographer is ill so at least we haven't missed out there.

Hmm, DS had best night for aaages - resettled at about 12 and he went through til 6 - I did not of course, was up from about 4.30, tummy churning, couldn't breathe. But feel better today so will take him to soft play. sympathies Simpson I use dto have horrendous ear infections as a child (and tonsillitis every 6 weeks as well) and I still remember the pain. Amoxicilin was the only cure so best off getting some from docs.

got 5 girl friends round for paella night tonight and am off out on a hen night tomorrow, "Ange has a life" shocker!

Simpson - hope you get ds sorted out today.

Ange - we have 8 teeth here too just waiting for next phase to start, think it was about 11mo with ds1.

Ds2 had his best ever night (well since my befuddled mind can remember anyway!) 7-5.15
and although i didn't go to bed really early i got 7.25hrs UNINTERRUPTED sleep
and ds1 went 7-6.15.
fab

he's now back in bed and we are waiting for him to get up so we can all go to playgroup - have missed the first hour already!

so, fingers & everything else crossed we get some better nights now.

What a manic morning!!

Totally knackered!!

Had to turn up at doc's at 11am ish and just wait to be seen. Waited nearly an hr but he has got ear infection Whatever it was you said Ange, thats what we have got His first ever does of anti biotics!! But had a bit of a mare trying to get it from chemist as everywhere run out Took AGES but finally got some.

Poor DS eating his lunch on the run as I am trying to get his medicine and feeding DD a jar while waiting for it in Boots.

DS determined to go to pre school. We were 15mins late and so had to go to reception and sign him in (oops naughty mummy!!) Hopefully he will be ok.

Very of your girlie night Ange...

Have bought lots of wine for tonight...I think I deserve it!!

Sorry - knackered tonight - I'm not sure why.

DD went to sleep without crying last night. She's got a new bedtime habit. I bought her a taggy' book. At bedtime I stroke it on her cheek, she takes it, opens it, puts it on her face and goes to sleep straight away She's done it three times in a row now. It's very cute. I just sneak back in and take it off after a couple of minutes.

Are any of your LOs dropping a nap? We're trying different things at the moment as she's sleeping better (naps were becoming difficult). What are yours up to?

LaT - DD only has one nap in the day now.

She sleeps from about 1 ish till 2.30. Then she goes to bed at 6.

She has had 2 naps today though but think she is coming down with the same thing as Ds

Evening all am on the wine too

Lat dd does that with her blanket too! She still having 2 naps a day but as her sleep at night is still so rubbish we not a good example!

JKS hope tonight is as good i would be ecstatic if dd did that. You deserve a good night though!

Well dd has the most sore bum ever she has done 4 poos today , really runny but don't smell, she has 1 tooth broken through at the top and 3 under the skin Is it metanium cream that's good ? Only had sudocrem tonight but off to pharmacy first thing!

lilyloo - DD does about 4 poos every day She has a permanent red bum. But at least it beats 8 poos which was what she used to do...

Next Thursday DD has pead appt at 2pm. No way I can get back to pick up DS by 3.15.

Do I

a) Fib to school and say DS was sick???

b) Come clean and tell the truth??

My mum in meeting ALL day, DH at work, don't know anyone at school to ask.

Simpson are any other mums able to pick him up ? If i was closer i would! Is no one on here able to help ?
Failing that i would just explain to pre school you have an apt for dd and ds won't be able to come better to be honest imo!
Poor dd what cream are you using ?
DD does one a day in the morning usually when she wakes so this is a lot!
too much wine just ordered a pizza we never have takeaway!
