housemum I let Nathan feed to sleep then wake him slightly by putting his grobag on. if he is too tired he refuses to bat an eyelid though

lol madmouse. the things you have to do eh
Sods law isn't it? George slept through last night till 6am. Had a bottle and slept till 7.30 Edward on the other hand woke at 12.30, 2.48, 3.7 and slept till 7.18. His temp has gone right down to normal now and he ate his cereal and banana. He is now back in bed. Will dose him up for the next couple of days and keep my fingers crossed that he's ok for his party Saturday.
Day in today. DH has judt got back from the dentist. Had his tooth pulled. Ok a bit uncomfortable.
Got a man coming to get our rocking chair this afternoon. Put it on freecycle and he answered straight away!
Right off to have a shower and get some washing on.
Have a good day all x

simpson · 22/10/2008 10:40

Ahhhhhhhhhh

DD running me ragged today!! She started the day at 5am and has been battling a morning nap for nearly an hour

Also left my mum's all in a rush to beat traffic to get Ds to playgroup and we got there to find it is closed One of the women running it is sick, so not enough staff. Grrr...

So have Ds with me all day today. Cue bored toddler.....

The positive news is that DH seemed ok at work and I have come back home again till Sunday Ds very happy to be reunited with all his toys!!

Lilyloo · 22/10/2008 11:32

morning all just popping in and still [smiling]
Lat night bed 7 feed 9.30 (she is usually too tired to have much at bedtime so happy to do this one)
tehn didn't wake until 3.30 took 30 min to resettle and then had feed at 4.45 and slept until 7
Can't beleieve it has worked so quickly and only 3 nights ago we were feeding every two hours!

Simpson aah maybe walk out to the park , sunny here! LOL at duck her first word! Good news bout h!

Housemum agree with MM do something to rouse her even if she just opens her eyes so she doesn't feed to sleep. Be it sitting her up , kissing her , putting gro bag on anything to stimulate her enough to go down awake.

Gingeme bless you don't know how you cope!

Ange makes me glad to not be going back to work i met up with workfriends recently and got sick of hearing of work related issues!

MM lol at your friskyness you have to be very imaginative with dc's!

Lucky hope tooth not too painful!

MrsMc yeah to him saying mama first!

Anyone see Kerry Katona on this morning aah pure car crash tv!

LuckySalem · 22/10/2008 11:39

No I didn't see Kerry but have seen from friend's profile's on FB that it was bad. if you can understand her you're better than me

Tooth is ok - full on painkiller's at the moment!!

simpson · 22/10/2008 11:48

Can't believe I missed KK on TV!! From what I could make out in Lucky's link she sounds pissed....

Lilyloo - Glad last night was so much better for you.

Lilyloo · 22/10/2008 12:56

It's on you tube !

Aaah am so stressed and and trying to study for maths gcse in two weeks can't do it!!!
My teaching career may be over before it's started!

JustKeepSwimming · 22/10/2008 12:57

Saw some of that interview (can see a better version on the Sun site!) - madwoman, feel sorry for her mostly though.

I am in a grump - think it's better that i admit it!
PMT, tiredness, DH being away mon am-thurs night for the first time in ages, etc.....
Even thought of asking dh to come home regardless but checked his diary and he has a dinner with old uni friends tonight so not only can i not persuade him to cancel, i'll be jealous of him having a life!

so, lost track of things on here...
Gingeme - hope all boys are better for sat, esp birthday boy

simpson - all sounding good with dh at the mo shame about the playgroup though, argh!

Lily - sounds like things going in the right direction for you

um, that'll do for now, apologies for negativity!

JustKeepSwimming · 22/10/2008 12:58

Lily - i used to be a maths teacher, can i help??
stay calm, if you're like me when you get wound up, things stop making sense!

LuckySalem · 22/10/2008 12:59

Lilly - I like maths and got a C on my GCSE can I help you at all?

simpson · 22/10/2008 13:05

lilyloo - no good me offering to help. Am pants at maths but I feel for you...

Lucky/JKS - saw KK on Daily Mail website. There was a link on another thread....very sad. Definately think This morning should not have let her go on though, she must have been slurring words while having hair/makeup done etc

JKS - hope your day gets better

JustKeepSwimming · 22/10/2008 13:14

Exactly simpson - the makeup/prep people MUST have seen what a state she was in!
And surely she has some kind of agent?
But maybe they all think it makes more of a story, i mean I'm talking about her and i don't care!

simpson · 22/10/2008 13:22

Isn't Max Clifford her agent? or is he just publicist? He has been asked to comment but is saying nothing ATM....

JustKeepSwimming · 22/10/2008 13:26

well he isn't known for being tactful/withdrawing from the public eye/etc! is he?!

LuckySalem · 22/10/2008 13:42

I've got a GORGEOUS picture of Aaliyah with Salem but Mumsnet won't let me put it on.

Best I can do is this. if you can't see it i'm sorry

Lilyloo · 22/10/2008 13:46

They said at beginning of show that she had just literally arrived as ther had been an accident on way there ! Poor girl felt very sorry for her and think it should have been pulled when Phil asked her why she was slurring etc!

I am just overwhelemed with the amount of stuff to remember. I was really happy to get a d at school to be honest. I am talking myself out of being able to do it and the fact that dd is whinging at side of me doesn't help!
Any tips for rememebering any of the formulas or any strategys much appreciated it all seems like a foreign language tbh!

simpson · 22/10/2008 16:18

Lilyloo - I took maths GCSE twice and got a D both times so will be no help at all!!

Having the worst day ever DD not stopped screaming & straining ALL day, I know what it is she has eaten but does not make it any easier to deal with.

DH has just rung me and someone (who is after his job) has said to DH maybe he should think about not being a mgr for a bit, not so much stress...Grrr....Can't they just let him get on with it?!!

DD off again...have to go. So pi**ed off DS having chips from chippie for tea (bad mummy)

LaTrucha · 22/10/2008 16:33

Hi guys -

Think I'm going to be back now, although havn't caught up at all. If anything has ahappened that I might put my foot in about please let me know!

We've come back home today which is possibly the hardest bit. Everything leading up tp the funeral, which was yesterday and beautiful, was so busy it was a blessing. Now life just has to carry on, but without her. Everything seems to remind me of her.

Which is why I need some chatting to distract me! So I'm back here with you girls.

Do you know what MIL JUST told us? None of her FIVE children ever made a SINGLE attempt to crawl. ALl of them just got up and started walking at between 9 and a half to 13 months. So we can stop wondering when Sabela is going to start crawling now....

Has Bluebell reappeared? Been thinking about her as her dad died from the same thing.

Lilyloo · 22/10/2008 19:42

Hey LaT good to see you back.
It's hard without your mum but you do keep going and make sure Sabela knows lot's about her. I always talk about my mum to the kids and they call her nanna. I have photos in the house and they come to the cemetry with me!
Not much news here from me other than my cc this week seems to be sorting out Martha's sleep (don't want to speak too soon) but it going ok! And i am doing pants at my gcse maths which is 2 weeks tom but am using the minds of lot's of lovely mnetters (thanks jks for other thread) !

Simpson was it the milk in her breakfast ? Bless her she really is very sensitive to it isn't she! Poor dh he doesn't need that does he!

Gingeme · 22/10/2008 19:43

Hi LaTrucha and welcome back
Wow no crawling eh? Certainly saves on the knees. I remember a little boy at playgroup walking by 9 months. It just didn't look right he was so small but walked so confidently. I'm thinking George will be an early walker. He gets so frustrated when his big brothers are running up and down the hall and he can't quite crawl quick enough to catch them up
re first words too. I was just reading the big boys there story and at the end they were all saying 'bye bye, goodbye' and I'm sure George said bye bye probably didn't at all but hey

simpson · 22/10/2008 20:06

LaT - welcome back!!

Lilyloo - she only had ff in her porridge today but I gave her hipp organic rice pudding for lunch. The powder one which you mix with water. She has had it before and I thought she was ok, but she has only had it for tea so maybe she was asleep. its made from formula so thought it might be ok

Have to say has been the worst day ever with her so only fruit/veg tomorrow.

Even bought some rusks that I can add ff to. She is only drinking about 12-14ozs a day of ff so not enough really

In her bath tonight she was saying "duck duck" was soooo sweet. And she has learnt to wave

JustKeepSwimming · 22/10/2008 20:36

LaT - welcome back. I hope you find a way (like Lily) of keeping the memory of your mum alive for Sabela, do you have photos of them together?
Not quite the same but I got one photo of ds1 with my grandad before he died, even though my grandad was a curmudgeonly old sod i still treasure the photo
Not seen bluebell on here in ages...

simpson - poor poor dd! she is sooo sensitive. as you rule out more things then hopefully you can find some things to add to the ff. can you make up porridge with her normal ff?
well done to her on the talking though

gingeme - henry definitely wants to chase tom around! but he's still a way off yet, though he is throwing himself about on the floor more.

lucky - cute pics

lily - keep going with the maths

see here to pat me on the back!

simpson · 22/10/2008 21:37

JKS - well done on the wii fit

DD does have her porridge made up with ff but still needs to have a bit more to reach 17ozs in one day.

Gingeme - the baby next door walked at 9mths and looked REALLY odd as she was so steady on her feet very quickly. reminded me of that baby in Allie Mcbeal!!!

People coming round to look at heating tomorrow...hope it doesn't cost too much [hopeful emotion]

madmouse · 22/10/2008 22:07

Hi Susie glad you are back and that it was a good funeral. Reaity will hit in the next weeks and months so do talk about it .

Last time I saw Bluebell she was on her new antenatal thread.
