Really glad to hear the job seems safe, eandh, whatever happens with the other applications x

eandh · 11/11/2008 20:24

Lol Reggiee at name (and P's middle name is my neice's name) Hattie is a fab name although sort of wish we had put Harriet on her birth certificate.

I see P & H have same aquadraw thing! (laughalot got me mine for £6 in boots sale!!)

Vino - thanks for the info and house looks fab. I must ask my Mum and Dad if they'll have teh girls one night between now and Xmas as be nice to have a weekend with DH

ladytophamhatt · 11/11/2008 20:40

EandH, i don't knwo who I'm buying for, has the email been sent?/

Vino, did you have teh mirena or the normal one? I was going to have the mirena but a thread on here said about weight gain with it so I'm not sure now. I remember when I was on teh pill years ago I was always abit pudgy so I think the hormone in the mirena will make me pudgy again.
But then the normal one isn't suppose to be good for helping PMT.

I think i need to talk to teh doctor again.

The boys are all OK, G has been ill with a virusy cough/tonsilitus thing for weeeeeeks. Mad super high temp at the weekend which was abit scary. He's unbeleievabley clingy atm which is a bit testing at times.
The others are the same a always....I just ignore them now

Lizzzz, monkeybiz will be great. Artrange a date and we'll be there.

Nothing else to report really.

Wilkiepedia · 11/11/2008 21:15

LTH - if you suffer with PMT, the Mirena might worsen symptoms - I can't take any hormonal contraception so am thinking of having coil fitted after no.2. DH is happy to have snip but I would want to be totally sure that we don't want a third (I eriously doubt this!!)

EAH - thanks for list. Really struggling with my SS. Am seriously lacking inspiration this year

PCF - NICE. Hence why we don't have a dog

UD - how is your arm? Feel very sorry for you re migraine, esp as you can't take anything stronger than paracetamol to nuke it!

Reggiee - are you gonna find out sex of bubba?

Spent day christmas shopping with sis and mum at the Trafford Centre, got LOADS and had 20% voucher in ELC and Oasis so saved over £50 in total!!! Nice.

Hate hate hate my job and the people. Really fucking miserable and desperate for a change but don't know what the hell to CHANGE to? At a real crossroads with my career.

vinorouge · 12/11/2008 08:10

LTH - I had mirena coil, not noticed any weight gain but then am still carrying pg flabby tummy so hard to tell. TBH the dr never asked what type of coil I wanted just fitted this one. Hmmm was thinking this morning I should go for that first run.....so maybe tonight will be the night!

Wilkie - work sounds poo. Did you apply for the other job you were talking about or not?

ladytophamhatt · 12/11/2008 09:22

Wilkie, Yes, I read on here that it could make it worse, and I just can't risk that. I'm taking AD's to hopefully even it all out before the coil goes in.
I deffo don't want to get pudgy on top of my psycho nutjob moods.
Ohhh I don't know what to do.
I have to get one though, we're our own worst enemies because I had to wait this long because there was teeny risk I could have been PG after unprotected nookie. WTF were we thinking??!!
Also with the mirena your periods almost stop eventually(according to the GP) and I'll be so worried that I've fallen PG all the time. We got 4 kids that have been concieved without any TTC, G was an accident so no periods will freak me riiiiight out.

I think the copper one will have to go in.

Katw3kitts · 12/11/2008 09:59

I fancy getting a coil fitted too, but from reading other threads have become a bit scared. I think I would be freaked by not having periods too. At least I know roughly whats whatwith my body.

DH is still pussy footing about having the snip. He says he will (eventually) but he's a big wuss. We've always conceived at the drop of a hat (or pants ) so something really needs to get sorted out.... eventually !

We've got stacks of stuff for DS2 already in the loft .. so will be recycling that . Having said that I got a bargain electric scooter on ebay a while back so thats going to be part of his collection too.

I've seen those aqua mats and I'm quite tempted. Thet look really good. We also had a kitchen and that was suuuch a good toy, we got loads of fun out of it, but gave it away as it took up too much space.

EaH how do you know Hattie isthe only HP in the country ? did they tell you ?

PCF sorry to hear about your dog. Hope she's better soon. Having said that it was a really funny post and made me laugh. Sorry !

Just bought part of my SS gift. I think she'll think I'm bonkers !

Just embarrassed myself this morning. More car trouble and car has been in the garage since monday while they try to find out whats wrong with it. Anyway, they gave me a courtesy car, but I took it back as it kept stalling whenever I stopped.

They fell off their chair laughing when they said it was part of the next generation engines that turn off automatically to save fuel emissions

eandh · 12/11/2008 10:26

Ooooo coils sound complicated, my Dr wanted me to go on mini pill but from what i read that can lead to deptression/anxiety/weight gain and no periods (which would freak me out as although Ellie took 9 months to concieve when we ttc no 2 I then fell preganant 3 times in less than 6 months so fertility an issue with us too!)

Kat - There is a website where you can type in a name and it tells you how many people are registered in this country with that name, I am at work this morning but will look on home laptop if I saved it as a favourite

Wilkie - emailed you as I thought of something for your SS Any partivular things you have always wanted to do job wise??

Woo hoo I am liking working for Abbey pay day has been bought forward a week and this month alone the full timers have earnt £900 bonus so that means I'll get £378 this month (although minus 31% deductions means it'll actually be nearer £260 take home) and they are carrying this new bonus scheme on for November and December so in theory could get that in teh next 2 months pay as well

Wilkiepedia · 12/11/2008 11:31

How painful is a coil Vino to have fitted?

LTH - what ADS are you taking? I am on 10mg Citalopram, really didn't get on with Fluoxetine. It really works for me though which is great - I feel like a different person.

EAH/Vino - not sure re job. Have applied for the other one but not heard. Ijust feel so mind numbingly bored - I almost want a TOTAL change - I love PMing but they are so few and far between plus are almost alwys full time which is no good.

Just feel really low with work, plus there is a bullying issue which I don't want to go into on a public forum but it is really getting to me. Have complained 3 times and STILL nothing done plus have found out 2 previous secretaries left for same reason. How shit is that???!

ladytophamhatt · 12/11/2008 12:31

Citalopram too Wilkie.
20mg though.

If the job has made 2 prev people leave they have to do something, are you a memeber of a union or anything?

Lizzzombie · 13/11/2008 08:11

Morning!
I went to Lewes yesterday and saw Shimmer & Freddie.
The bookshop is adorable, and it has its own train that children can sit on!
Its also about a 10 minute walk from Monkey Bizness, so....
EAH, LTH, UD and maybe PCF if possible I reckon we should do a SE meet up asap. Dates please.

Ps. Freddie is gorgeous!

eandh · 13/11/2008 10:17

Oooo sounds good! I cant really do anything before Christmas as working extra hours and Ellie has nativity, going to London to see Fatehr Christmas, parties etc etc (actually am starting to regret inviting so many kids to her party as she keeps getting return invites we have 5 between now and 14th December!) Otherwise Tuesday, wednesday and thursdays fine with (Ellie can miss preschool and come or may see if Mum will have her and I'll just bring Hattie)

In fact we could do a January meet up and they could all have a 'joint' party at the same time

theSuburbanDryad · 13/11/2008 17:28

I'd be well up for a joint party!

Hi all. Not much going on here. Starting to get out with the three of them now so having some adult company from people other than DH and my mum! Making me feel alot better and mroe myself.

I was looking at trying the implant for contraception as I can take it while bf. I used to use the injection before Luke but you need only need to go every 3 years with implant. The coil scares me for some reason.

I have bought the Honeybake oven Vino mentioned for Ruth's birthday but I got it from jojobebemaman with 20% off when you spend £75 so it only cost me £48. I have got her wooden chopping fruit and veg, a gorgeous tea set and a lunch box to put it all in for christmas. It is hard for us though as it feels a bit like we are drowning in toys in the lounge and I know there are lots to come at Christmas and birthday! Will def have to declutter. The prob is having three stages of toys in the house at the same time.

Pink- I felt movements really early with Rachel this time too. Luke it was about 20wk because he was first (and everything was still nice and tight) then Ruth had placenta at the front so didnt feel much til 20wks again. Then rachel think about 14wks too (because everything is very very loose!).

Dragonhart · 13/11/2008 23:16

If anyone wants the code for jojo, it is kf82.

Oh pcf sorry to hear your feeling a bit low its such hard work sometimes being ill and juggling kids. I get down being stuck in sometimes I must say work is my sanity.

Well my dh is away for the weekend at cheltenham races with is mates so mil is over tomorrow whilst I work then I think ill come home and have a bottle of magners and a takeaway and watch dancing and x factor in peace yay

Lth hope you are feeling a bit better on ad.

Right off to eat my jacket spud with cheese and beans nom nom. I want to wrap pressies tonight.

Reggiee · 14/11/2008 18:54

Hi all.

PCF hope your day has improved. I saw you FB update about shitty nappies, and groaned with you, as I've just changed 3 stinkers in the past 4 hours. Wondering if it's a one off (fingers crossed) or if she's caught dh's bug from last week.

Lal pmsl at bottle of magners. Haven't drunk cider since student days. Reckon the smell of it would remind me too much of the amount of times it caused me to chuck my guts up. Hope you have a peaceful weekend without dh.

Dragon glad to hear the newborn haze is starting to lift.
PCF I keep feeling flutters always in the evening from about 8pm. Placenta at the back so don't know if that means I should or sho9uldn't feel anything.

UD am loving your bump photo on FB. It's a true celeb bump [green]

Lizz how exciting to see Shimmer and her new gaff. Does she sell Flat Stanley (still slightly obsessed)?

Wilkie sorry to hear job is still crap, but the bullying issue really needs to be sorted. Agree with LTH - unions are excellent in these cicumstances What's your HR dept like? I guess now is not the best time economically to leave a job though so you're left in a pretty rubbish position.

Eah are you going to buy something nice with your bonus?

Hi Vino. Reckon we can meet up before Xmas? Do you want to drop me an email with dates?

Had a nice day today. MIL came over with my nephew and we all went out. First day in 11 days that I haven't been working so was relaxing. I am knackered though.

Reggiee · 14/11/2008 18:55

[green] ????? I meant

Pregnancy brain definitely a problem atm

eandh · 14/11/2008 19:25

Well I am going to get dh a new ipod nano for xmas (if you order from apple site you can have free engraving on the back) and then I need new black boots and something new to wear xmas day so will treat myself (and its eddas 30th birthday a week monday so need to get a special present for her)

I think placenta at the back means you feel more kicks ????

Dragon - glad to hear you are out and about, hows Luke at preschool now?

We need to be alot more careful about presents in the house this year, laughalot sent a huge box of goodies for the girls and Ellie sneaked upstairs and found it and opened one of the presents. She got told off and everything is in the loft now!

Ummmm am rubbish and can't remember whos posted (Laughalot have you started wrapping yet???????)

Reggiee · 14/11/2008 19:45

My dh is getting an ipod too! He wants a classic one.

eandh · 14/11/2008 20:08

I bought him the classic for his 30th so it looks knackered now, am going to de;ete everything from it and load ellies cds on there so she can listen to them in the car

Shimmer · 14/11/2008 21:15

Hi all. Would love to see you all for a Monkey Bizness meet-up in Jan! Oh oh, we could have a little birthday party with cake etc. in the shop!

Yes RGee we do sell Flat Stanley! And all the other ones... have you read all them, eh?? Stanley, Flat Again!, Stanley's Christmas Adventure.... ummm.... Magic Stanley?? ()

ladytophamhatt · 15/11/2008 07:16

Ipod classic, Ipod nano, Ipod touch, Ipod blah blah blah....

I think I'm getting old.
Don't they all do the same thing???

theSuburbanDryad · 15/11/2008 08:51

You need to post in the Grumpy Old Women group more, LTH.

I'm off to Camden for the day, minus child!! Woo hoo!
