UD have a nice day! Wilkie are you child free this weeknd too?

LTH you better learn the lingo . Won't be long before ds1 starts asking for these (is he not already?)

Am tired. Just put lo down for a nap and was hoping to do the same, but she's grumbling. Dh heading out of the door to the footie.

2Happy · 15/11/2008 15:14

Afternoon.
dh is watching rugby, so have been trawling through the messages to see what I've missed. Promptly forgotten most of it though !

Shimmer - hope you're settling in well. I never knew there was more than one Flat Stanley book! The train sounds ace.

UD - migraine sounds horrid, glad you managed a day of peace

Wilkie - do you have any dream job?

LTH - my dsis got the mirena a few months ago. She still gets some light bleeding, but nothing else. Hasn't noticed any weight gain or bloating or mood problems. I'm on the mini-pill and ditto - but like you, have read plenty of threads on here by people who say their PMT is worse with them. I also get no bleeding which is a bloody (hur hur) good thing IMO, but can see it might give you the shits! Main prob is I forget to take it! If dh and I ever get round to deciding about no more kids, I always said I'd get a mirena, but I'm so ok with the pill I don't know now.

eandh - naughty Ellie! Thanks for the address list.

We just had a nice short break at center parcs with my sis, bil, their kids and my parents. The kids slept not too bad, earliest they were up was 6.55!! Weather was fair. Got loads of exercise, but probably ate a lot more calories than I burnt off

Ooh, we scored a try! Go Scotland!!!

Yes Reg, just enjoying child free weekend! Laid in until 10.30am, then mooched about with DH round DIY stores looking for inspiration for the lounge, came back, painted woodwork in kitchen and am now debating a sleep !! DH is playing with his new garden vac - he has been out there for 2 hours and is showing no signs of slowing up - he is currently hoovering our neighbours garden as he has finished ours. Geek.

2Happy - no idea WTF my dream job would be. Would love to do midwifery but the 4 years training puts me off. I think admin is just dull now - prob is, everything is done by email so traditional 'secretaries' are falling by the wayside as Microsoft Outlook takes over the world. I wanted to make a difference to patients but the department I am in is more about contracts and business plans - we don't deal with end users at all.

Sorry - my post is all me me me but DH is now gesturing me through the window to come and look at something this pissing garden vac can do. Give me strength...

hello

uneventful weekend, Ellie had a party saturday and the invited herself to stay at my parents saturday night (and persuaded my Dad to get chinese for dinner!) so just had Hattie at home who slept for 12 hours but spent yesterday morning saying 'Uh ee (Ellie) gone and pointing in her room'

PCF - we have decided to get our first ever real tree this year but dont think we'll put it up till 14th december (normally decs go up 1st weekend of dec) Ellie is so excited about christmas this year. We're going to mum and dads xmas day, dh got to work boxing day but he requested an early shift so should be home by lunch time and then have pil's/sil and family coming to us boxing day afternoon.

My mum and dad had booked tickets to take Ellie to see Aladdin at Tunbridge Wells on the 29th December (they wanted to take Hattie but she'd run riot!) then they spotted in the news of the world a pantomine offer so have also booked snow white and 7 dwarfs (Ellies current fav) for 30th November they got 2 free child tickets so they said they'd take Eddas dd (ellie's bestest mate) its going to be hilarious as Eddas dd already calls my Dad Grandad Pip like Ellie so he'll have both of them talking shrieking badgering him for the day (and they have said they'll take them out for lunch so more over excitment!)

Katw3kitts · 17/11/2008 11:28

Had a nice time with DH but England lost .

It was slightly marred by the fact that I clipped wingmirrors with someone on a dark lane. They are trying to blame me but I'm zillion million % sure it isnt my fault. Pitch black, no street lights or pavements, big cars ... who knows ???

Added to that HV is referring DS for speech therapy as she thought there was a problem. He's still not saying any proper words except 'dada' and 'cheese' and 'choo choo', but he can humm the theme tune to Indiana Jones ' da da da da ...da da daaaaa'

So all in all, what should have been a good weekend went a bit 'humph'.

Right who wants to talk about boobs ?

Finally got myself measured properly in R&P and spent a wad on new undies. DH is very happy though

Quite a strange experience though ...................

I know you are talking sense PCF. Thanks for giving me some reassurance.

The other 2 were talking quite clearly by this age (if I can remember all that time ago. ) I've got him a doctors appointment on Friday to check his ears, but tbh I'd be amazed if that was the problem, as he can hear the theme tune to ITNG from upstairs !

The HV did say there was a huge waiting list too.

I'm not overly worried ..... just yet !

On the positive side, just found out this morning that SIL is expecting her 3rd DD in April

laughalot · 17/11/2008 16:37

2Happy · 18/11/2008 15:03

Lizzzombie · 18/11/2008 16:29

Well - I am assuming that we have got our thread title for the next one sorted then!
Jan 07 - the one, where all our boobs are where they are supposed to be! or something of that ilk...I think everyone has been done now haven't they?!

Or hang on....LTH ....I'm texting you now....!

Katw3kitts · 18/11/2008 17:35

Can I just point out that there is no 'spill' in my bra. Its a perfect fit

32D

Having always worn a 34B/C it seems like quite a big number !!

and at £61 a hefty price tag too. I can honestly say I have never spent that much on a bra before and whether I do again in the future remains to be seen.

I blame my sister. She's very good at spending other peoples money !

I knew they kind of looked at you to estimate the size, but kind of presumed they looked at you with your bra on...... wasn't expecting to have to get them out and shake them at her .......

eandh · 18/11/2008 17:42

I'd love to go to R&P in fact may ask my Mum if she wants to treat me in April for my 30th I am a 32FF/G and am deperate for new bras (in fact may pop on debenhams site to have a nosey)

Lizzzombie · 18/11/2008 18:56

eah - what date are you 30 on? My sister is 30 in April too!
Kwk - Did R&P REALLY ask you to get them out?????!!! Is it a R&P bra you brought? If so, the company that makes them is called Eveden, and also makes Fantasie and Freya bras...which are miles cheaper than R&P ones!

DJ has hidden my mobile phone. Its driving me nuts. I've tried calling it, but our house has such bad reception its going straight to voicemail. I swear I've had the whole (very very small) house upside down looking for it!
I texted LTH and then now its disappeared so I can't find out if she's replied about bra shopping with me or not!!! Grr....toddlers!

Reggiee · 18/11/2008 19:13

For my 30th birthday all my friends clubbed together and got vouchers for a poncy undies shop. My bra was £100 and matching knickers £49 . Still too frightened to wear them .

Lizz slap my wrists. Am still wearing my 34G underwired bra. Haven't quite got round to getting remeasured but my boobs don't seem to have changed much (except hurt when P decides to climb all over me)

There's a great bra shop up the road from me called 'Fit to Bust' . They fit bras just by looking you up and down (bra on), and are fab.

eandh · 18/11/2008 21:20

17th april lizz - am just off to register ellie online for 3 schools (scary) wont find out till next year which school she'll get I am praying its the one thats in the same village as preschol (not a feeder school so no automatic entry )

Katw3kitts · 18/11/2008 22:15

£49 for knickers

Not surprised that you are too scared to wear them !

The ones I bought were £32 which I thought was . I usually buy 2 or 3 pairs to match when I buy a bra ... but not this time !

Its a Marie-Jo Lizz. A t shirt style one with a halter neck adjustment thing (Not that that will be getting much use for now as its bolldy freezing up here)

And yes, I did have to fully reveal myself .

....And there was quite a bit of touching going on

The worst part was when I was about to try one on and as she was standing behind me she asked me to lean forward (well, we all put our bras on like that don't we ??) and my bum bumped into her

I did think it was a bit odd at the time and wondered if they treated the Queen likewise ?

Lizz, when you've found your phone its probably best you tell LTH not to read this or she'll never go out bra shopping with you !

EaH, if its the Bluewater store you are going to, the lady who attended to me has the same name as Wilkie.....you have been warned

Right DH is not back till late, I've made myself a hot chocolate and I'm going to take the Sunday papers up to bed to read... and yes I know its Tuesday !

theSuburbanDryad · 19/11/2008 09:15

PMSL at the Queen getting measured up by R&P!

I am still wearing my nursing vests most of the time I'm going to end up with my boobs round my knees aren't i?

We exchanged contracts on the house on Monday, and have next Monday as our completion date, hopefully will be moving in on the Wednesday! Am very excited - may be out of internets for a while though - although dh has iPhone, so will just have to MN on that!!

Lizzzombie · 19/11/2008 09:19

KWK - Ok, I don't mean to unnerve you, but in the last 3 years or so, I've fitted hundreds of women, and NEVER in my life have I asked them to remove their bras to fit them. In fact I'd be mortified if anyone asked me to do that. Its unnessasry, (I can't spell that work!) Its perfectly easy to work it out from them wearing various bras.
Glad you have found the perfect one for you though!

Rgee - you are the same age-ish as me aren't you? In that you were 30 a couple of years ago?! I can't believe you have underwear which has gone unworn for that long! I wore underwires throughout my pregnancy, and have no qualms about people doing so. You just have to ensure you are wearing the correct size. I had a young girl in a while back about 7 months pg, with mastitis in both boobs, from wearing TOTALLY the wrong size. Something like a 36B when she was actually a 32G! Poor girl was in so much pain, and her Dr had basically told her it was because her bra was too tight and had caused it.

EAH - My sister is 30 on the 13th of April! We are having a day out shopping in Brighton to buy her something nice. Can't wait till she's in her 30's!

Right, need to get my arse in gear to meet LTH! - I'll let her post the outcome of the fitting! Must stock up on plenty of snacks for DJ & G to keep them quiet!
Am doing another RL MN mate tomorrow night (4 hours of baby free shopping!!!!!) I'd love to do this as my job, but really can't see people paying for it.

Have a good day everyone, hope nothing goes tits up! sorry..... x

Lizzzombie · 19/11/2008 09:23

X- post UD.
NURSING vests????!!!
Get your tits into a bra pronto Mrs! Round your knees indeed! More like your ankles if you carry on wearing those darn vests!

theSuburbanDryad · 19/11/2008 09:27

They be comfortable for my ever-increasing norkage though Lizzz. I can't afford to keep buying new bras every 3 weeks because my boobs have got bigger.

Lizzzombie · 19/11/2008 09:29

Hah - they'll never be as big as mine though!
What size are you atm, I'll have a rummage through the Debs sale rail for you if you want. They had the Freya flowery ones for about £7.
this one

Lizzzombie · 19/11/2008 09:30

Am thinking of changing my MN name to BraZombie! or ZeBraZombie???
