Hi all. Quick post as off to work in 15 mins.

Big thanks to Secret Santa. He visited today and left me a big parcel . Now to put it away to resist peeking temptation....

Vino toddler toboganning sounds fab. Let me know how it goes I might be up for that.

Lal all the old wives tales are pointing to a girl, but I don't have a real feeling. Happy either way too - no major preference. DH and I can't decide if we're going to find out at the 20 week scan so have decided to let fate decide on the morning of the scan with a toss of a coin

Lizz poor you with the pooey nappies. I sympathise. However must tell you that I had to get up at 4am to change shitty bedclothes. Unfortunately it was my bed and the cuplprit was DH. His shit can pass through the eye of a needle atm (tmi perhaps), and our toilet stinks. Urggh! Hope it's not going to passed to lo or myself.

Eah / 2H / UD have good weekends away (I think it was you who were disappearing for the weekend).

Laters!

Shimmer · 07/11/2008 19:13

Hi all! So we're moved! We now live in Lewes. It's all been rather stressful, but good too. The house is really nice (we'd never seen it before It's a rental btw, not the one we bought.. i wouldn't buy a house without seeing it!) The whole last week has been completely mental though. Not dissimiliar to the first week after having a baby actually... really exciting, and knackering, with a constant edge of panic.

Lizz we would love to see you next Wednesday! What kind of time do you think you'll be in Lewes? I'll bring Freddie into the shop so he and DJ can make friends! Hope the little chap's feeling better. YUCK at all those vile nappies!!

RGee... hmmm.... who do yu think has been organised enough to send out their SS pressie already???

How did the toboganning go vino? It sounds ace. I'm off now to start a thread about stuff to do in Lewes cos me and F. need to start integrating with the locals soon!!

Lizzzombie · 07/11/2008 19:41

Shimmer - balls and pants!
I've sorted a mate to babysit DJ as I know he'll be a total nightmare at the hospital.
Am going to get my diary out to arrange a proper visit to your shop or soft play date with you though.
I can do Mondays, Wednesdays or Fridays. Are you free any of those days ever?
What are your initials on FB? I am not totally sure if I have you added as a mate, I had a search recently but couldn't work it out. Doh.

Rgee - omg. poor you! and poor DH. That sounds nasty xxx

theSuburbanDryad · 08/11/2008 15:22

RGee - my dh had a nasty tummy bug a couple of months back which led to him shitting the bed. I was not impressed wen he then refused to see the dr.

We're off to High Wycombe in a minute so dh can buy some trousers and we can get Z's feet measured. Better start taking out a 2nd mortgage then!

Wilkiepedia · 08/11/2008 19:28

Hola - not had time to catch up on all posts but PMSL at Reggiees post. Lovely detailed information there about DH's shit really made me giggle although - poor him (and you).

Think J may be teething?? He only has his big back molars to come and is putting everything in his mouth constantly and has runny poo? Sound like it??!?

Nothing to report, am tres dull but am lurking so going again now...

xx

vinorouge · 08/11/2008 20:15

Shimmer - You running on adrenalin at the mo then? Glad the house is nice, hope you find some MN friends in Lewes soon.

E&H - hope your weekend is good.

Wilkie - hello!

UD - hope Z/z shoes weren't too pricy. Luckily E is only on her thrid pair, her feet grow slowly and the first 2 pairs each lasted 18 months. This pair is on 12 weeks at the mo. Yay!

Toddler toboganing was SOOOOO COOOOL!!!!!! Bit pricy at £16 for 30 mins but worth it. You go down with lo, they section off a bit of the main slope for it so v safe. Those little tobogans can go quite fast! E loved it, we whooshed down shouting 'go go go' (her fave phrase for doing anything quickly), 'dude' or 'yeah'. Knackering cos lo's not keen on walking up slope in their wellies so heavy to carry. Some los didn't like it and cried but most loved it.

Had quiet day at home today other than food shopping. Baked this afternoon and E entertained for an hour wrapping and unwrpping a ball of raw pastry in clingfilm.

Lizz - hope dh better soon. And that his nappies improve.

Rgee - hope weekend of work ok and that DH better.

Had a lovely weekend, hotel was lovely and posh and we had the funniest waiter at the restuarant we went for lunch!! Did lots of shopping and even squeezed in a trip to Hamleys and I managed to get Hattie a CD with 10 songs on with her name on each song I can never get anything with her name on so was chuffed

Didnt take long to get back to reality though Dh had to work today so me and girls popped to Tescos and then did a huge deep clean (I only left dh and girls in our house for 24hours as he picked them up from mums at 5pm Friday and god knows how they managed to make that much especially considering they were out of the house from 10am to 5pm yesterday )

theSuburbanDryad · 10/11/2008 17:18

EAH - my bf's sister just had a little girl and has called her Hattie! I just saw a picture....soooooo teeny. It's a good job I'm already pg or I'd be really broody round now!

I went to my AN appt with the gp today, and she took some blood and it REALLY FUCKING HURTS! My arm has come up in a massive bruise and it's really achey and stiff. Stupid doctor. Next time I'll ask a nurse to do it!!

eandh · 10/11/2008 19:58

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo she can't steal my name I am so protectivover her name as someone else who is a friend of a friend etc used it after they heard about my Hattie!! Only positive is that she is the only Hattie Parks registered in England

Ouch about your arm

vinorouge · 10/11/2008 19:59

OUCH UD! Hope arm feels better soon.

Been sorting out our spare room today. It's not finished yet but the ironing needs to be done tonight.....

eandh · 10/11/2008 20:39

Have emailed everyone the address list, can you let me know if have missed anyone/got wrong email address??

laughalot · 10/11/2008 21:11

Not alot to say got a massive headache

ladytophamhatt · 10/11/2008 21:49

Evening ladies. Just received the secret santa list so feel guilty that I haven't posted for ages again.

Whats been going on then?
Is anyone else PG?

How are all the PG ladies doing?

I'm ok, finally doing something about my life and I'm on AD's and getting a coil fitted next week.
My PMT has got out of control so the AD's are to try and sort that out. Coil is obviously to stop any more offspring.

AD's seem to be going so far, no mad crazy side effects which is a relief

Nothing else to report really.
My life is so thrilling....

ladytophamhatt · 10/11/2008 22:28

I just thought I'd make a request about tejh secret santa before I go into hiding again.

Anything except smellies (the give me thrush) and alcohol(coz of teh AD's)

TTFN

xx

Lizzzombie · 11/11/2008 17:45

Hi'yall!

Thanks for the address list EAH. I got it and have just brought my SS's present. Hope she likes it!

LTH - Glad you are sorting your head out a bit, hope it helps you feel better.

Shimmer - Did you get my FB message? I'm bringing DJ into Lewes with me tomorrow so I'll swing by your shop! Is it open?!

LTH - we should do a Monkey Bizness playdate with Shimmer sometime!

eandh · 11/11/2008 17:50

Lol lizz I went and checked who you were buying for and thanks for email yesterday, applied and got screening email today so fingers crossed I egt accepted

LTH - you'll have to let me know how coil goes I need to sort contraception out as fd up of being on pill but dh refusing to have the snip. from what I've read AD's take about 4 weeks to come into effect.

Not much going on here today, yet another day HAttie hasnt napped so shes now in bed for the night. Ellie had eddas dd round to play after preschool then eddas and ds came round so between them the house was trashed but all sorted now.

I have toad in hole for tea tonight and havent had it in ages so am really looking forward to it

theSuburbanDryad · 11/11/2008 18:20

I can't remember who I'm buying for!! EAH can you email me with my person please!

I've been in bed most of the day with a Migraine of Doom - really bad, spots in front of eyes, full on kind of thing! Bleh - just as well it happened on a work day, in a way, as it meant I could spend the day in bed while he was in nursery.

What's everyone thinking of getting their kids for Xmas? I've got my eye on a play kitchen for Z as he loves playing with the one at nursery and at my friend's house! I quite like the idea of something like this but I can't seem to find anywhere to get it in the UK! Grr...

eandh · 11/11/2008 19:41

Which kitchen UD. I can see little people toys but not kitchen

Ellie has a new dolly that wees and cries, a vtech laptop, disney magnet thingy, bubble bath, lipgloss, clothes, little miss books ummm can't remember what else

Hattie has a dolly that giggles and cries (my Nan buying her a pram and auntie making her some blankets and baby clothes) teletubby aquadraw, care bear read a story thingy, books, phonic thingy, peppa pig rocket and ummm cant remember (I only wrapped them last week!)

We got Ellie the ELC kitchen for her 2nd birthday and its been played with every day by one or both of them (with the plastic food/saucepans etc)

PCF - Thats our problem we have so much stuff (And I am anal about decluttering!) and god knows what we're going to do when people ask about what to get Hattie for her birthday

Reggiee · 11/11/2008 20:14

Evening.
UD / Lal hope you feel better soon. There seems to be so much going round at the minute. DH has recovered thankfully, and no signs (yet) of the rest of us catching it.

UD have got lo one of those big aqua draw mats [[http://www.amazon.co.uk/Tomy-6688-Teletubbies-Aqua-Draw/dp/B000FUHOLS/ref=sr_1_10?ie=UTF8&s=kids&q id=1226430684&sr=1-10 here], a trike, and a set of Dr Seuss books. Got these in sales over the year so cost me thirty quid for the lot. Not sure what to get her for birthday though which is a week later - see what the sales bring, or else might get stuff for her new bedroom (or is that really dull?). The inlaws have bought her a kitchen and I can't wait to play with that . Little People stuff is fab. My work colleague gave us loads of it (garage, stables, funfair, playground) and Pip loves it.

Eah my work colleague told me she was making toad in the hole for tea tonight. Is someone trying to tell me something. I really fancy a huge Yorkshire pud now. Wilkie, please come round and make me some. BTW, I've been throwing names around my head and was thinking about Hattie for no2. After all, I nicked P's name from Ellie

Hiya Lizz. Is DJ better now?

LTH good to hear from you. Don't go again! Glad to hear the AD's seem to be ok. How are the boys?

Vino what are you doing with the spare room? Toboganning sounds brill btw. I've never been to XScape.

PCF glad you're coming through the other side! 11lb v impressive . I'm still not quite at pre-pg weight after losing 6lb due to ms. Havestarted to go to work with my top button undone as haven't quite got round to buying any mat clothes . Bit scared at last mw appointment when it took her ages to find the heartbeat.

Reggiee · 11/11/2008 20:17

Wrote that post 2 hours ago, then dh luckily appeared and said the network was down cos he'd been tinkering with the PC upstairs ...grr...at least he caught me in time to save my post.

vinorouge · 11/11/2008 20:19

Hi all

E&H/LTH - I had a coil fitted about 7 weeks ago (I know cos I'm overdue my 6 week check!). It didn't hurt being fitted at all and apart from spotting most days for first couple of weeks it has been fine. I didn't want to be on the pill again but wanted contraception I didn't have to think about IYKWIM.

I have no idea what to buy my secret santa but will get thinking cap on.

We have bought a little tikes cottage for e&s for christmas - bargin from ebay - its new and comes with a little tikes slide and table/bench thing £70 for the lot. Its coming tomorrow so have to stay in til it arrives. We are going to keep the slide ready for sylvie's birthday, not sure about the table. They can play in the hosue inside until summer then it can go in the garden. We'll get them a few other bits and bobs too, have been browsing online for ideas.

UD - not sure how much you are thinking of spending on a kitchen but look here here. E has the honeybake cooker at my mums and plays with it non stop every week when she is there. For christmas they have bought her the baking set to go with it. Also she has the birthday tea set (she had it for 1st b'day but only just started playing with it! I just keep the candles and sugar cubes in box in case of choking but eveyrthing else fine).

I am getting into christmas shopping!

DH parents going to come over in couple of weeks so he and I can go xmas shopping on a sat aft, then go for some food and to the pics. I haven;t been to the cinema since before ellen was born! Also going to send both e&s to pils the weekend before xmas so we can have a bit of a rest. Plus we are going to my parents on xmas day so it softens the blow a bit for pils IYKIM.

Had a friend here today with her two lo's. Nice to chat. She had a new (second hand)car, a picasso - I love them!

LTH - hope you are ok x
