Yoo - Hoo everyone, flying visit!

Eah - WTF are you doing up so early? (need I ask) you poor thing!

Nothing much to report here.
Same old same old.

Hope everyone is ok xxx

Anyone dressing up LO's tomorrow evening and taking them trick or treating? I got a 'wicked' t-shirt from boots, 50% off with a big ghost on it! Its rather cool imo!

theSuburbanDryad · 30/10/2008 08:12

We're not going trick or treating because I don't know anyone with older kids and i think Z's a bit young for it still. But I've made him a little costume just in case and have a biiiiiiig cauldron of vile sugary sweeties for the kids who come round - not had any so far though.

Z has FINALLY started to sleep through! He slept from half 8 through to 7 this morning, and instead of bouncing on my head woke me up with a cuddle. Was V cute.

We have got our first playdate today! It's like a landmark for us - feels like i'm finally starting to make some friends! I was wondering about making some form of baked treats, or would that be trying to hard?

Lizzzombie · 30/10/2008 15:12

hah - if you turned up for plat date with cakes etc for me, you'de defintely be asked back! Hope it goes well x

theSuburbanDryad · 30/10/2008 15:19

Play date went very well - here.

eandh · 30/10/2008 19:33

Lizz - I am up around 5 to 5.30 every day with Hattie as she seems unable to stay asleep when DH gets up for work

UD - playdate sounds fab and did you let LO's eat the cake and cookies or make them have the fruit??

Had a lovely day visiting my Nan although was a long drive and I was singing my head off on the way home to keep the girls stayed awake

We are having a halloween party on saturday not many coming just eddas and her dc, dh best mate and his 2 (its his weekend access) and another one of our friends and his stepson. I got a load of bits in the sale last year and then Mum went to Tescos yesterday and they had loads half price so dining room looks fab. I'm doing fishfingers/sausages or nuggets and chips for dinner and body parts jelly then we'll just trick and treat to neighbours who I have checked with that its okay

theSuburbanDryad · 30/10/2008 19:47

laughalot · 31/10/2008 14:48

Ola

Nothing exciting going on in the laughalot house today, aidan made some cakes and thats about it. We are going to a halloween party tonight at the pub but thats it really. Dont know what to say sorry ....

HaribosArentJustForHalloween · 31/10/2008 15:12

Be careful with the jelly, eandh, my dsis had a halloween party yesterday, I brought sweets in green jelly, and she had hunt the eyeballs (lychees) in green custard. They ate a bit of each then spent a happy half hour pastering themselves, the walls, the floors, everything with green goo, plus a trail leading from the kitchen to the bathroom. The kids were slipping everywhere and dripping in gunge, it was hilarious, but I'm never going to a halloween party again without at least 3 changes of clothes for us all!!!

Yay!!! on the sleeping UD! Glad the playdate went well too.

Man has anyone else had the freaky weather? Last night we had the most intense thunder and lightning complete with hailstorm. It's been hailing on and off for the last 3 days now. It's freezing and everywhere is flooding again. Where did Autumn go?!

Reggiee · 31/10/2008 18:44

Blardy freezing here, but warming myself up with the big tin of Roses I got in for the trick or treaters. Each time I answer the door (three times so far) I help myself too .

Can't stop and chat - I have a friend staying, but took the opportunity to hop on whilst she is bathing her dd.

eandh · 31/10/2008 19:00

Thanks for the warning about jelly 2happy

Hello .....................................
............................................................. ................................................. ? Anyone

eandh · 04/11/2008 13:43

I'm here ... waiting for man to come and service boiler between 12 and 6, I'm taking bets that he'll turn up at 5.58pm!

Washing machine going as Ellie made firework pictures at preschool and her coat, jeans and top smothered in chalk and glitter (no idea how its on her coat)

Just wrapped and packaged Laughalot's dc xmas pressies and quickly snuck into the loft whilst E & H playing to double check all their presents (must start wrapping soon as hate doing it so try and do a little bit here and there)
