Good news - Squirmy is back to a rough 3-4-hour cycle.
Not so good news - he had this morning what I can only describe as a Pooing Incident.
I was getting rid of his old nappy, saw more coming and caught it on cotton wool. And the next load while throwing away the first ball.
Just as I was feeling really pleased with myself and stood up, it happened.

Covered from hair to knees. Including a face and cleavage full. Just as well I was only wearing underwear after he'd peed on my PJs earlier...

Amazingly, he'd missed himself completely. And I probably was the most washable direction he could have gone in.

What's the best way to get poo out of carpet? It looks like someone's been paintballing in here!

Sunshinemummy · 09/10/2008 13:02

Hi all. Just a quick one on the Infacol thing. They had run out of it in my chemist so I bought some Dentinox wind remedy. It's really good and, as you don't give it to them until the end of the feed, you don't have the latching on problem. I give it to Effy for her evening feeds and she immediately brings the wind up herself (lots of trumpy bum as it's known in our house). I'm so impressed with it I'm going to carry on with it and not go back to Infacol.

Sunshine ooh thats good to know as my dd2 is a whoopee cushion since birth and a windy baby too...will try that Dentinox wind remedy.

leonie - i looked bigger with my dd1 than dd2 but dd2 was heavier than dd1! (both are the same length at birth but another confusion that dd2 looks smaller than dd1 at birth and even now - she is 18 days old now).

yes i was changing my dd2's nappy yesterday and the pooing wouldnt stop..it was like Mr Whippy ice cream ...aww bless her!

mum2bagain · 09/10/2008 13:49

OMG - ds has just gone a whole 3 hours between feeds for the first time in 2 days, I thought it would never happen. What a relief.

My mum offered to do the nappy change yesterday and just as she was putting him a clean one on, he started pooing, and it came out like no-ones business. 3 nappies later he finally finished. He'd not been for 2 days so was very grateful.

Have a great day everyone. One hour left before school run --hoorah!!

Sunshinemummy · 09/10/2008 15:01

Just added new pics of DS with DD to my profile if anyone fancies a look.

DebitheScot · 09/10/2008 15:35

i have probably just jinxed myself but i couldn't help laughing at all the pooing stories

had a really nice morning with ds1 as ds2 went back down in his crib after his 7am feed and didn't wake up till 10.20. But he's spent the rest of the day wanting to be held and not wanting to stay asleep when he's put down. Must have realised he missed out on attention this morning! So another day passes with the housework not getting done. Oh well never mind.

DebitheScot · 09/10/2008 15:39

oooooh get the party snacks ready, the cake in the oven and the bubbly in the fridge, looks like pidge is on her way over here.

jennylindinha · 09/10/2008 16:20

lollipopmother · 09/10/2008 17:01

Has anyone elses LO come out in pimples on their face?

izzybiz · 09/10/2008 17:05

Hi guys!

First time I have been on this thread!
Well George is 2 weeks and 4 days old now, and weighs in at 11lb 11oz!
He is absolutely gorgeous, and I am totally and utterly head over heels in love with him!

He is feeding every 3-4 hours, and I have just started to feel the effects of broken nights sleep, I am knackered!

Anyway, he has just started crying so I will have to go! Hope everyone else is well, and all these lovely babies are too! xx

lollipop - yes, DS seems to break out after every feed. it usually fades after a sleep though.

jennyl fab birth story! mine seems so long ago now...

notcitrus · 09/10/2008 19:21

lollipop - A got acne at 2 weeks, in time for his first party. 2 weeks later it's getting better - apperently baby acne goes by 3-4 months.

MoonlightMcKenzie · 09/10/2008 20:23

Hey everyone! I hope you're putting on your party outfits! Pidge is finally amongst us

I'll be wearing my little black number, - size 10 'virtually' fits me - ha ha!!

MoonlightMcKenzie · 09/10/2008 20:29

sunshinemummy Gorgeous photos - gorgeous children

Hello again izzybiz!

eandz · 09/10/2008 21:25

is anyone on here thinking about going to the mn christmas meet up? if so, would you like to be my date?

i feel like we're all pretty much friends on here, so would definitely feel more comfortable with am mn'er as my date so we can be each others mn-cred iyswim.

meglet · 10/10/2008 08:12

lolli DS gets pimples too. They seem to come and go.

I've been getting organised this week and put some maternity clothes on e-bay, I have a bit of space in my wardrobe now. And DP has booked in for a vasectomy in 2 weeks time . TBH I'm a bit suprised how he's actually aranged it so fast, but we really aren't having any more babies so the sooner he does it the better. He is rather pleased he has to lie down for 24 hours post op . I have got to stop DS jumping all over him, I think we'll make ourselves scarce for a day or two.

Hope everyone has a nice (and sunny!) Friday.

jenpet · 10/10/2008 09:16

meglet DH has done the same! (he has two grown up LO's from his 1st marriage as well as our two) but apparantly here in France it was actually ILLEGAL until 2001!!! I couldn't believe it. You have to have a 3 month "reflection period" before the op too
On the baby front, am wondering where last night went so wrong, as had got Sam doing quite well on one middle-of-the-night feed at about 3am, then he was sleeping till about 7-ish, but last night the wheels fell off & I was feeding him loads from 2.30am onwards, then of course I was so tired I slept through the alarm & had a manic panic to get DS1 to school ontime...argh!

ILikeToScareYouScareYou · 10/10/2008 09:19

Pidge has popped, so we are all here now!

Congratulations to all us clever ladies for getting here

I have had a few smiles from ds2 today, even though he is feeling a bit grotty with his cold. Those smiles melt my heart

ninja · 10/10/2008 09:45

Hi - my computer's been broken so I'm not sure if I'll get to catch uop (but the house is cleaner than it's been for months !!)

Pimples - I'[ve been told it's a hormone rash - DD has them too bless, I still think she's gorgeous though.

Pidge has popped? Is there a birth story somewhere? I bet it's a chilled out one!

eandz planning to go to Manchester Christmas meetup - is anyone else going to that one?

Anyway - I'm going to go for a big read of all the news later.

ninja · 10/10/2008 10:00

jennyl great birth story - well done getting there without anything. I know what you mean about the TENS, I would have put mine up if I realised that I was nearly there! Hope the blood's getting better.

Has Pidge posted her birth story yet?

ninja · 10/10/2008 10:03

lollipopmother my DD1 was like that with all the fussing and I think you could be right. I think it can be a sore tummy that makes the fussing and more feeding can make it worse.

I try and get DH to settle DD and only if that doesn't work I feed again

MoonlightMcKenzie · 10/10/2008 11:08

DG thanks for the compliment earlier. I'm 'supposed' to be training as a peer supporter as a joint thing between the NCT and our PCT, but it's been very stop and start

Hopefully Where ARE you? Hope you are okay!

Debs75 · 10/10/2008 11:22

Congratulations Pidge Now we can start the party!!!

On the subject of contraception we have decided 3 is enough so want something permanent. Tried the pill and the implant but docs don't want me back on them as I had ovarian cysts and they not sure if it was the hormones to blame. Not risking it as the pains were really bad. Have been thinking about either sterilization or the snip. Hubby not too keen on someone messing with his junk so need all the info I can get on how his op will be better then mine. Any links would be appreciated.
