Well done with the bfing everyone!

potxola imo you cna drop the ff's now as I can only see them being a bit more work. an oz or 2 here or there is nothing compared to the fact in the first few weeks that your body is geared up to provide milk for twins or more.

(it is the amount of stimulation that tells our body how much milk to produce so if twins were there, your body would provide for twins, even more.)

DebitheScot · 09/09/2008 20:15

Thanks foxy Boobs are feeling a lot better today and ds2 is still feeding well. He's having 7 or 8 feeds a day and put on 3oz in 2 days (mind you the 2nd time he was weighed shortly after a big feed) so I'm happy.

This afternoon dh nipped into work for a couple of hrs. When he left ds1 was sleeping in his bed and me and ds2 were sleeping on the sofa. When he came home again 2 hrs later we were all still asleep! Great

Welcome to all the new people

DebitheScot · 09/09/2008 20:17

oh the other exciting thing is that I stood on the scales earlier and am only 2 or 3 pounds more than my pre pg weight. Very happy with that.

jearund · 09/09/2008 21:42

DebitheScot how much did you put on during the pregnancy? I would love to be only a few pounds up after I give birth but I can't see it happening!

Sassafrass I am so of you only gaining a stone! I suspect you may have been a bit more disciplined than me though

Just moving Catinsussex - Potxola you've put her in the middle of the early September arrivals instead of August.

Catinsussex Hola y bienvenida! So you are coming to join me and Potxola? Of course I haven't actually graduated onto this thread yet but it won't be long now (6 days...and counting!).

potxola · 10/09/2008 11:13

Jearund Thanks. I don't know whwre I have my head. I didn't sleep well last night

jearund · 10/09/2008 11:18

Potxola me neither - although for a different reason from you! I've already been sobbing down the phone to DH this morning! I just want Dougie to come then he can take some time off and help me with Cat and at least then I can rest when I'm not feeding (at least that's my plan......!)

potxola · 10/09/2008 11:25

I understand. I was very upset the days before my husband took the time off. i just could not cope. I felt much better once I knew my dh was off. You are going to have him helping you for 6 weeks. It is going to get better. Cat will be ok, you will see.

DebitheScot · 10/09/2008 11:42

jearund I put on just over 1 1/2 stone I think. It was all bump though, I was very luckily and didn't put anything else on anywhere, my bump was very much all out the front.

Just been discharged from the midwife and had the health visitor round all within the last hour. They are both happy. Think the midwife wanted to look at my stiches but I haven't had a bath yet this morning so I put her off!

digitalgirl · 10/09/2008 12:42

I've definitely lost weight - think it's down to lack of sleep and constant expressing that's doing it. I'm certainly still eating loads!
No idea what I weight, but overall I look a lot slimmer than pre-PG, with the exception of DD-cup boobs (was always a B-cup) and a bit of a pot-belly! Looking forward to the 6 week mark when I can start doing pilates or yoga to tone it up.

Alfredo's jaundice is improving every day. And I just posted an update on my BF thread on what amazing progress we made yesterday. The BF counsellor was really impressed with the effort we'd gone to in order to get him back onto to breast, she had to remind us to go easy on ourselves as we need to make sure we're in good nick too.

Anyone else get really weird vaginal pressure sensations down below when they change position from sitting/lying to standing up?

foxytocin · 10/09/2008 12:44

was about to ask for news, DG.

off to read your other thread now.

jearund · 10/09/2008 15:40

Potxola thanks, that's exactly how I feel. Fortunately DH is being very sweet. He's home now so I had a big hug and another cry. Tomorrow he's on doubles (morning and night shifts) so Cat and I are going to my parents for the morning and we can both have a nap then. Unfortunately DH will need to sleep in the late afternoon/ evening ready for the night shift so I'll have to put her to bed on my own. Then it's just Friday morning as she goes to nursery in the afternoon. I just need to hang on in there for a few more days, don't I?

I was worrying about everything under the sun last night (no wonder I couldn't sleep!). I started thinking, what if Dougie comes early and DH has just finished a night shift, would I have to go to hospital on my own while my parents took Cat and he slept? Of course he has said that that would never happen, he would cope even if he hadn't had any sleep! He thinks this is normal pre-birth nerves combined with lack of sleep. He's probably right but it doesn't make it any easier at the time!

eandz · 10/09/2008 23:44

Finally! I'm here. I'll update the list later (after I get some shut eye).

foxytocin · 10/09/2008 23:51

Wahey! (as they say up here) welcome back eandz!

KashaSarrasin · 11/09/2008 13:20

Hi everyone I found you! Huge congratulations to you all - it's amazing all the full-term babies are arriving so fast now!

DS2 is doing fine, 1 week and a day corrected age (10.5 weeks real age) and weighed 3.46 kg on Tuesday (7lb 10oz I think) he looks soo huge compared to when he was born .

Sassafrass · 11/09/2008 15:00

Jearund, I'm afraid I ate whatever I wanted, not sure why I gained so little really.

Welcome everyone who's just had their babies and congratulations

meglet · 11/09/2008 20:54

oh poo, I have 2 stone to lose . I am itching to get to the gym, but will wait until just before xmas to start again. I think lots of weight will fall off anyway once I am over the cs and pushing the double pushchair everywhere (fingers crossed).

I also want a sunbed, haircut and full leg and bikini wax. I am a bad shallow person .

potxola · 11/09/2008 21:11

Hi girls! Am I the only one who is starting to feel very tired?
