On a bit of a roll now! All hoovered and have even put pics on the wall to make it look like we live here!

Now to clean the bathrooms

Pinkjenny · 05/09/2008 11:16

Ha ha, I hope you've dusted off the red carpet. You should see Mark's suitcase, he thinks we're moving in. When I asked him why he was bringing so much, he said, 'Well I don't know what to bring to stay with people I've never met, and I don't want them to think I'm a chav.'

NB - Mark isn't a chav. But I am.

AprilMeadow · 05/09/2008 11:21

i have just made up the travel cot - the bedding is all pink! and i have put a few toy things in it. Laid your towels out for you all so dont worry about them. I have bath wash and kids shampoo. Got milk for the kiddies.

Obv i have plates, bowls and cutlery and am off to get highchair from dads later. I have more toys and books than they know what to do with so dont worry about bringing loads of stuff to play with. I even have nappies Just trying to think of all the things i have here that will save you having to bring duplicates of......

Pinkjenny · 05/09/2008 11:24

Well after consulting my list, the only things I'm bringing are clothes and toiletries. Just phoned my mum and I can hear her crying in the background.

Feel a bit sick now.

ShowOfHands · 05/09/2008 11:36

((((PJ))) She's got a cold, she's grumpy. I feel miserable when I've got a bad cold and I know what's happening to me. She's fine.

Shut up about your meet. I'm hormonal and lonely today. And nobody'll ever come here because all we've got is a futon in the study. Mark's suitcase would take up 25% of the available floor space in the entire house.

Pinkjenny · 05/09/2008 11:41

I know she's only got a cold but I have some anxiety issues, as you know , and I am worried that she'll get worse over the weekend and we won't be at home.

But I really really want to go still.

Will it be OK? Will AM slap me for being pathetic? I thought I was getting better with all this, I really did.

AprilMeadow · 05/09/2008 11:46

I will only slap if it really is needed.....only kidding

You will have your eyes opened to mean parenting this weekend. In fact you will probably leaving thinking i am awful.

Just treat it like your own house

Pinkjenny · 05/09/2008 11:48

Thanks AM. I'm rubbish when she's under the weather.

ShowOfHands · 05/09/2008 11:49

PJ, it will help being at AM's. It'll distract her, she'll forget about it. You'll have AM to slap you help . I hate going away when M is under the weather but every time she's happier with lots going on to distract her. You're going to have a fabulous time. Without me.

AprilMeadow · 05/09/2008 11:51

You are only feeling sick because you are excited

Also, my dh is very hands on with the kids so might make Mark re-think what he does/doesnt do....

He does bath time, bed time gets up in the night if J wakes etc etc

Only 3 things left on my list and i should get most of that done in the next hour before the kids need picking up.

Oh and i have calpol and nurofen and medised and cough mixture etc etc

Pinkjenny · 05/09/2008 11:54

OK, I feel better now. SOH - tell me again why you can't come? Didn't Scoot offer to pick you up? No pressure, obviously. Stop eating worms, don't you have any gingerbread in the house?

Am excited again.

AprilMeadow · 05/09/2008 11:57

just taken some pics of the house for SOH & TMAM and also so that pj CQAL can see her room

Pinkjenny · 05/09/2008 12:02

What a beautiful house. Will we be in the servants' quarters?

Seriously though, I love that dining table.

AprilMeadow · 05/09/2008 12:02

Off to get dressed now

AprilMeadow · 05/09/2008 12:03

Just added your room

Pinkjenny · 05/09/2008 12:04

We may never leave.

cravingaquietlife · 05/09/2008 12:05

She will slap you PJ! or I may for staying in my room before me. Looks fab.

Pinkjenny · 05/09/2008 12:23

Any other babies struggling whilst cutting their canines?

(I only know what they're called because I just looked it up)

cravingaquietlife · 05/09/2008 12:33

Jorja is PJ, she's had a snotty nose and the grumps for about a week now. The last two nights she's woken crying. (she never does that) This morning, two teeny white spikes have appeared on the top gums.

Bring on the Calpol

How is everyone doing on the teeth front? I'm thinking J's are later than H&M, I'm sure they had more than 6 by now.

AprilMeadow · 05/09/2008 12:40

Ella is teething at the moment and yesterday was very clingy and grumpy. She has 5 teeth and the 6th is very close to coming through. I'm sure that she will have a few come through together. Just checked Jack's red book and by the time he was Ella's age he had 16 teeth!

cravingaquietlife · 05/09/2008 12:44

Thats more like the number I thought my first two had by now.

Remember, the longer they are in the gums the less crap can harm them.

TillyScoutsmum · 05/09/2008 15:22

Til still only has 4.... She's teething at the moment though and I can see the "buds" for the next 4 (not sure if they're canines though ?? the ones next to the top two and the bottom two). She's had a temperature, been grumpy, been waking in the night and had the most horrific poos in the world. Other than that, she's remained unaffected

Enjoy your meet up and your worm eating. I'm off to find some sun for a couple of weeks. Hoorah !!

cravingaquietlife · 05/09/2008 15:58

Have fun tilly and stay off the fags!!!

TillyScoutsmum · 05/09/2008 16:35

Themasterandmargaritas · 05/09/2008 17:01

Bah, humbugs, will look at the pics later.

J has 16 teeth and another 4 breaking through as we speak! He is drooling for Britain.
