News from Creena

Three weeks earlier than expected, we welcomed our new son Eoin Patrick into the world! He arrived at 03.37am on Monday 13th October and weighed in at an impressive 6lb 15oz, despite being a little early. He's doing well and settling in at home now. He has dark hair, dark blue eyes, dimples in his chin and cheeks and his daddy's long legs. We're incredibly happy despite the fatigue!

JamInMyWellies · 15/10/2008 19:47

Fab news please pass on my congrats.

MKG · 15/10/2008 19:52

Congrats to Creena!!!

I'm officially part of the living today. I'm well rested and well fed. I should be after a wonderful dinner of pork loin, potatoes in a cheesy sauce and spinach. Which was repeated at lunch today.

It's warm and sunny today, and Cruz is feeling better and causing trouble even with his splint on his arm.

And I offically look pregnant. I didn't yesterday, but today I do. Yay me!

ThemasterandmarGOREitas · 15/10/2008 20:23

Congrats Creena, that's lovely news.

Good to hear you and Cruz are a little perkier MKG.

Dh has just got back from NY with some goodies. The visitors have been fobbed off for a couple nights on friends on the other side of town.

Tomorrow night sees the arrival in town of some very good friends of both us and our guests so I feel it may be a large one.

The sun is shining and its really hot now. Not great for trying to run 10kms!

TheGreatScootini · 16/10/2008 10:06

largeginandbloodymary · 16/10/2008 12:43

Hooray for Creena!!!! What amazing news A lovely little baby boy, oh i wish i could give him a sniff (you know what i mean) CONGRATULATIONS!

MKG glad you feel better, is it a nice round bump or a start at your ankles end at your neck type that i am currently sporting?

Thsi morning has been manic, i mean if people didnt see what goes on they would think i am making it up.

It goes like this...

Get up with dh at stupid o'clock as he goes off to work. Baby up = milk and poo, kids up, brekkie for 6. Make 4 lunchboxes, dress baby and change more poo nappy, dress 3 year old. Watch twin launch in to stairs and crack cheek, send off twins to school, shower and dress self, clean up breakfast dishes, leave house with 4 children for school. Return with 2, place in car for Tesco run. Shop. Take phone call from school about twin with cracked cheek, can i pick him up. "NO, he is fine just moaning. Take 3 year old to toilet amid shop. Take another call to collect now sobbing twin. Load shopping and children in car, drive, take another call this time from nurse (for Phin) Start to drive again with promise to phone back, Twin dad phones, he is getting twin from school (phew) get home. Put baby to bed, unload car. Phone nurse back while 3 year old bounces face off slide and bleeds all over the place. Patch up bleeding child while talking to nurse. Put dishwasher on and do first load of washing. Tidy kitchen. Make the first of 2 birthday cakes. Hoover (as nurse is coming at 130)

This afternoon i have to take H to playschool, pick up prescription, see nurse for drug schooling, collect ds#3. Do playschool run, fetch dd from Drama, take dd to Brownies. Make tea for them all, fetch dd from Brownies and feed her.

COLLAPSE

I mean it sounds farcical doesnt it? DH is out tonight he wont be back due to extreme drunkeness that i cant abide. He has a cabin.

I want a nanny\cleaner\chef.

Have to go playschool run....

Argghhhhhh!!!

MKG · 16/10/2008 13:55

MmeJaffaB · 16/10/2008 14:10

Pinkjenny · 16/10/2008 14:35

largeginandbloodymary · 16/10/2008 14:47

Oooooooh yes lets

Ta MrsJB, how was Ireland?

The afternoon has been less traumatic, i have managed to eat lunch. School run time in a mo tho. No rest for the wicked.

Scoot the Cod thing is terrible

Bugger about the laptop, gotta love L!!!

AprilMeadow · 16/10/2008 17:20

Wow that was quite a day LG&T! I hope you get to put your feet up tonight.

Oh yes lets do Secret Santa again... I dont mind being the sorter outer (as i do have time on my hands)

MmeJaffaB · 16/10/2008 17:25

Yes, lets!

Ireland was AMAZING, Dublin is a lovely city. The Irish are very patriotic, the city is steeped in history, statues, art and beautiful buildings everywhere.
They say, feck, janey mack and jesus lots!
Watsthestory is beautiful, funny, intelligent and totaly bonkers with it, her girls will NEVER meet my kids as hers are far too well behaved. We climbed a mountain to see the views, had lunch (soup and soda bread) in a castle, looked for some ghosts in another castle, bought lots of irish tat souviners, drank far too much wine and vodka and lots of yummy dubliners cheese to go with it. Wats MADE me drink a famous Butlers hot chocolate... it was YUMMY! and we had dinner in a fab chinese restaurant on the last evening. I'd like to go back tomorow soon.

lg&t, I have to agree with you on the fish. It is terrible, really terrible. Wats and Cod chat a little and they were e-mailing whilst I was there. I'm not sure she'd remember me but please pass on my regards anyway.

MmeJaffaB · 16/10/2008 18:07

nooooooooooooooooo AM!! you can't, cause then you'd know and I'd loose my "let's work out who's got who partner" There must be someone impartial... wonder if the LOVEY Marslady would step up again?

AprilMeadow · 16/10/2008 18:50

I guess if Mars didnt mind...... It was fun last year

elkiedee · 16/10/2008 18:54

Congratulations Creena

Don't know how you survive and even get online to describe it all LGT.

JamInMyWellies · 16/10/2008 18:54

Am up for secret santa again.

Was going to do a woe is me whingy post but after seeing LG&T's day I feel I might be being a bit unreasonable. Suffice to say DP is back at the consultant this evening his back has gone again!

Thanks Watters..... are you watching me?

MmeJaffaB · 16/10/2008 19:19

Jam... put your feet up lovey, chill! Poor dh and his back... no fun for either of you.

JamInMyWellies · 16/10/2008 19:34

DP just seen the consultant thankfully its not the old problem just a new one. [rolling eyes] He has an anular tear in one of his disks, treat with drugs and rest.

Jaffa did you not have Taytos they were my favourite crisp when I lived there, when I got pregnant with Archie in the early wks when I was miserable and DP was in Singapore I was known to scoff 4 or 5 bags of an evening.

LG&T hats off to you my lovely try and rest up a bit this evening can you get DH to sort out the cherubs on Saturday morning so you can have a lie in?

Hey Scoot, A did that a few months ago I took the battery out and left it to dry out for a wk or so and then it was as good as new.

Am also gutted about Cod I do hope she comes back in some sort of guise, maybe she could be a goldfish or a pirhana.

largeginandbloodymary · 16/10/2008 19:56

Dublin sound fantastic, i cant wait to go TYG would be all nostalgic.

The day gor better, a lovely mum offered to take dd to Brownies and pick her up. To compensate for this new time bonus i took ds#3 to the optician to repair broken glasses

A lovely old friend rang this evening, we chatted for hours Dontcha just love it when that happens, the kids were bathed, hairwashed, jammad and kitchen sorted while we nattered.

To add to to interesting highlights of the day... you know the game Elefun? Well (while i was on the phone) ds#3 came in with one of the nets stuck on his head He was hysterical, so was i but for different reasons My god it was funny.

Jam poor you, how long is recovery? Will he be back on his feet in time for the new baby? I suppose this means all the physical help you need with A is out the window Come for a visit, leave dh snacks next to him and commode We can stuff eat cake and console each other. The boys can amuse themselves.

AM this is just a normal day, a busy day and my feet would be on fire.

Time for a delicious 'new' type chocolate KK, i bought a mix dozen this morning for the twins birthday breakfast How they have made it to 10 i will never know...

I am not old enough to have 10 year olds ffs.
